Thank you very much for the useful info that the drone itself weighs under 250g. However with any battery, it will be over 250g, so it doesn't matter at all😊

It is VERY long range. My CROSSFIRE Transmitter is broken.
I agree. The mini T antenna is not for long range. In fact, it says so in their advertisement and packaging. A standard Immortal T will fit and work nicely on that drone.

You can even use a 4s 1500mah . You just always have to keep the total weight in mind that it can carry and by that I mean the Li-Ion as a reference.

With the m10 chips you don't need the unicorn appendage, a gpsmate in a tpu mount on the back will cover all bases. Where is the mounted xt60 plate? 2023 we expect these details as standard i would have thought.

Thanks for the review, and the entertainment. :-) Based on your review, I believe this is the quad for me, and other than a tiny whoop, this will be my first "bigger" entry into the world of FPV. I do have a quick question...I just watched another youtuber who smoked his quad by landing/crashing it into wet grass, but you seem to not really care about the moisture from the snow. Was he just super unlucky, or is it best to land on dry ground whenever possible? Would landing in the sand on the beach would have been a worse choice? Motor debris and all? Lastly, so close to 300K subs...pretty exciting for you, I'm sure!
I think he was crazy unlucky or flying in light rain and it accumulated. I land in snow all winter long as well as wet grass. The trick is to not let water accumulate on the flight controller and PCB.
Thank you so much for this video! I just purchased the analog version which is great but I’m confused about the included GoPro mount. It only has 2 ears on it rather than the typical 3 that GoPros slot into. I’m not sure how to mount it. Am I missing something?
How much time is required to get 10 sats? Can you also check what is GPS protocol in Betaflight - Ublox or previous one? Thank you!
@captain the telemetry on crossfire is only transmitted at 25mw from the rx, that's why it drops out all the time
It never had an issue two months ago. For two years I used the crossfire module & never an issue. But you are correct about telemetry which is why in the videos I ignore it and keep on flying without issue.

Thanks for the review, Cap. If I get the ELRS version, does this mean that I can't fly it with a DJI controller or does it mean that I can fly it with either the DJI contoller or an ELRS controller?
It means as a BEGINNER TO THE FPV HOBBY there is a small chance you’d figure out how to fly it with both an ELRS Radio and the DJI FPV Radio. My advice to newbies with only DJI experience/knowledge is to NEVER get an ELRS version unless you own an ELRS RADIO and you are smarter than the average person at doing research to figure out technical issues. Hello! I flashed the FC and lost UART3 which was occupied with ESC. After flashing there are only four available UARTs and you need to set the ESC to one of them manually. And there are no free UARTs left.
Can I set UART3 on via command line? Or may be there is CLI dump for this drone for downloading?
Hi Steve, after years of camera drones and RC planes, I''m planning to get into the FPV very soon. Questions, I plan to use simulators first so I purchased a Radio Master Pocket with built in ELRS.
Later, I want to buy the DJI goggles V2, will i need to get the DJI controller too or can I use my Radio Mater Pocket? Lastly what is the difference between ELRS and ELRS 915?

You can continue to use yours ELRS POCKET as long as any FPV Drone you buy, has an ELRS RECEIVER in it. ELRS is most popular in the 2.4 frequency range, but in some countries the 915 frequency range is also popular.

Hi! Do you think this drone is suitable for cinematic shooting, for example diving?
Is it impact resistant? I'm going to go with this frame or a 3.5", and do a cinematic oriented build..
My TBS Tango 2 radio also gives me "Telemetry Lost", "RX Signal Low" and "RX Signal Critical" warnings but not as often as you do and a little further away (but not far enough that I should get the warnings). I've never actually lost control at all. I changed my packet rate to 50 Mhz instead of 150 Mhz and so far, I haven't heard the warnings since, and I can't tell any downside to the lower packet rate.
Sometimes it is the RECEIVER causing the issue as all TBS NANO receivers are not authentic. But, like you I have never lost connection even with the receiver complaining there is a break in telemetry communication.

Power Lines are the enemy of Captain Drone!
I'd try switching to 115200Hz from 40000 in the TX to try to get rid of the telemetry warnings.
Hello, Great Video, can you maybe answer a question for me please. I am in the uk and want to buy this drone but can’t find info about what Transmitter to buy for it. The only option for us is the elrs version so what can TX can i bind this to please ? Will be using the dji goggles 2
ELRS receivers will ONLY bind to an ELRS radio. Check Radiomaster and Jumper.

Steve, Do you have your goggles set to turn on and the O3 is in low power mode? Just wondering since my Goggles V2 if low power mode is enabled the O3 stays in low power mode when it takes off and flying. I disabled it on the my goggles V2 as a workaround. All the OSD info is working great too.
I’m not sure what your question is. The DJI O3 is not like the previous generation where you can turn off low power in the goggles. The O3 is always in low power until it senses the MOTORS ARMED signal, then it jumps to full power. One cannot change this with the DJO 03
My drone it stays in low power mode even when flying around so I turned off low power mode in my goggles menu.@@CAPTAINDRONE798

Hello Captain !!! Greats from Brazil!!! How is the best drone in your opinion? This one or Flywoo Explorer ? I am Very impressed with these small drones!
Both are great! When you buy an FPV drone you first pick the type you want (tiny whoop, cinewhoop, deadcat, x-frame), then you decide if you need a gps, then you pick the prop size. The smaller the prop size the less weight it can lift. Then you look at battery size and battery connector. And finally you look at onboard camera and RECEIVER type. Once you know what you want then simply pick the one in your price range because all FPV drones made in the past 12 months are all very good.

So… my real dream is fly about the mountain LONG RANGE someday… but i believe i need practice more, and learn before go far. Also heavy drones Gave a strong feeling that i need fly carefully , mainly is expensive and Could brake even in a bad landing surface

DJI 03 is a video system, and it only connects to the DJI FPV Controller 2. If you wish to use a different radio, then that all depends on the RECEIVER in the drone. Radiomaster and Jumper have been very hot in the FPV hobby due to low prices and best bang for the buck. Finally, since you will be rusty on the controllers, get an FPV Drone that is a CINEWHOOP in the 2.5" to 3" prop range.

The reason your Telemetry keeps cutting out is probably because your packet rates dont match and maybe didnt apply the correct preset packet rate for what you have set in your transmitter and quad. My quad used to do that all the time also until i set em all to match
Thanks, but my issue began about two months ago suddenly after years of everything working fine (packet rates have never been changed). I have done firmware updates since the problem and even factory resets. All output settings are identical to what they have always been. I have never had to play with packet rates. Packet rates normally just increase or decrease latency. Perhaps the crossfire receivers showing up in quads from China are the knockoff version, which could result in an issue. Either case, this module is being replaced.
Geprc is correct that rf noise from the video system can cause interference with gps. In my experience, mounting the vtx in the front and the flight controller in the rear usually works well and eliminates the need to mount the gps way up high on a pedestal.

Can it do waypoint missions? what is the max range on the remote?
There is No such thing as waypoints in the FPV hobby. You are thinking of the beginner hobby like drones from DJI. The same is true for range. Range exist in the beginner hobby with a fixed max limit. In the FPV hobby the range is as long as whatever battery you add will last, so if you can find a battery that would last for 30 miles, you could configure the drone to fly 30 miles.

make sure the TX from crossfire isnt connected to the same RX that is using esc telemetry. even if you have esc telemetry turned off it can interfere and cause that RX loss. i had a similar issue.
I'm starting to wonder if it is the TYPE of TBS NANO receivers being used by China, because in the past six months I've been having this issue with almost every drone I receive and even when I use a different TBS radio.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 anything's possible 😂. Make sure the baud rate and the region frequency in the CRSF TX matches your RX.
Or like youre saying , see if its the RX and switch it with a known good one. Maybe on a different UART too.

If it is a DJI O3 camera then like all DJI cameras the footage is automatically stabilized.

If it is your first FPV drone consider something that is in a cinewhoop category with 2 inch or 2.5 inch props.

Any reason as to why most of the companies that make BnF are not create a Walksnail version?
A good number of companies will always have a Walksnail version, however, DJI often gives discount deals to companies if they make drones with DJI only. DJI is a master at destroying the competition.

I said this a million times before but will repeat it for your knowledge. If I say the price, the price is only for my country and not yours. My videos are worldwide. In addition there are plenty of people on UA-cam that watch a UA-cam video and think it has to do with their country and the video was made today. This means if someone watches one of my videos 5 years from now, sees the price I stated in the video, then looks up the product and finds it’s twice as expensive, they then stupidly most a negative comment calling the video click bait. For this tea so I only post and state a price if an amazing deal is to be had for many countries and I include the date of the video on screen.

I have a question What radio is use to fly, and is it bind and fly. I want to get this quad.
You go to the STORE and pick the RECEIVER you want to be in the drone. The RECEIVER you select must be compatible with your RADIO. So if you pick an ELRS RECEIVER, you need an ELRS RADIO, etc.

DJI goggles 2 are best and INTEGRA are a lesser version of those. But INTEGRA has a better image than DJI Goggles V2.

you say slow but it does not look at all slow
To go snail speed slow you’d have to set the camera level with the ground. I fly with the camera tilted up, which means you can rarely go at zero speed.
I think this drone really checks a lot of boxes. Finally, a drone that is actually going to work as the name implies in "head less mode". Plus just looking at it not flying is a real head Terner. For me it was good that the video footage was taken right from the DJI unit. The down side is you flew this in Canada. Canada needs to address this issue in 2024. Next thing that Canada needs to address is ice fishing is has to be reduced? Now I'm so glad you are ending 2023 Beard Strong. I think that was unpredictable at the start of 2023. So prior to 2024, I think you should preview other unpredictable things for 2024? My pick for 2024 is pink strands of hair or a small tattoo on your neck? I would be L-ioning if it's not s few pink strands, but we'll have to see how 2024 Terns out?
While there are many reasons you should stay in Canada, I'll argue that if you left. your long range flight tests just go next level. Next, I fear your long battle with "tractor man" won't escalate. Lastly, the two issues regarding repulsive weather and excessive ice fishing is gone.
