I use it, too. But unfortunately tires are glued, so difficult... and nowadays brass rings are available and rather cheap, and much heavier than some layers of sticky golf tape - so this is a kinda outdated ;-) (and rather expensive, because you'll need quite a lot to upgrade several rims with several layers of golf tape). Best option here is simply upgrade tires (stock are bad) and rims.
Hey it may be the locked diff wheel speed while cornering is fighting itself and when four wheel steering and articulated the tyres catch the body. Ive found while using crab the truck is almost as smooth as straight probably because the tyres are running at the same distance per rotation. Hope it helps
It does wheelines in high gear. I have videos of it here, doing wheelies and flipping around. It takes a bit of time to really speed up though. A bit slow off the line, but when it gets going, it's quick. So awesome slow crawl and torque in low, I've ran it a lot on a comp course, and the motor was awesome. Then, in high, you can pretty much use it as a little basher. I'll be trying to do a backflip, if I can control the speed well enough. ;) It's basically just as much a rock bouncer as it is a crawler.
@@donaldsneffe Strange. It only happened after it got a little up in speed, then the punch came all of a sudden. A bit like a car with a big turbo that takes a little to spool up. A bit unpredictable until you get the hang of it, but a lot of fun. :)
Thanks for a very detailed review as always. For what they are offering for the price, it’s getting a lot of crawlers attention. Would be nice to know what platform(s) will be compatible with this awesome bang for the buck.
Donald my man🎉 appreciate the detailed information I got one coming by this weekend or before from BG. Meanwhile I converted my CR18 pro to 4ws with an fms front axle and lc 80 tx. While doing so I messed the shift servo and had to fine tune it to shift smooth.maybe the shift servo needs fine dual rate and throw tune in this case 😊. I wasn’t expecting much from this rig, good to know reality is just that and keep my expectations moderate now that I have a brushless 18 scale with 4ws as well. Also definitely reduce the throws onthe rear steering
Nice Video as always. My guess is the motor is good, the ESC is shit for brushless…. The rest of the truck looks as a nice base. Thank you for the video
This looks like it has some potential, it is a shame there is no aftermarket support. It would be interesting to see what parts from other models are compatible. I wonder if links and maybe drive shafts from the fcx24m might fit.
Weight distribution isn't great on this out of the box. 55% front, 45% rear. About perfect side to side and cross weight. I added some weighted beadlocks with Injora S5 tires in the front, and non-weighted in the rear, as well as some brass hexes in the front. That took it to 52/48. Better, but still not great. Maybe a bit of weight on top of the servo, until (I hope) some brass upgrades are available for these axles.
Looks to me like a hobby plus axle, except its not a portal. I have the T-hunter and the udirc, I bet you can swap axles. I havent really tested mine but it seems to be lacking a drag brake.
I was considering getting one , but now I'm just gonna skip it , thanks for the objective video, everyone else is just saying how good it is when it is not got at all , the gearing is just wrong, the steering links are just rubber, that weight distribution is very bad , the tires are rubbish You need to test it with the wheels on , if it has no resistance it will never cough
Good to see you back👍 I thought this channel is gone.
Donald is BACK. Good to hear your voice again. Great review as always
Hab nur drauf gewartet bis Du dieses Teil unter die Lupe nimmst. Endlich ein objektives und fachkundiges Review zum UCX2405pro. Vielen Dank!
Donald I was thinking of you yesterday thanks for reviewing this cheers
As a golfer, I use a lot of lead tape on various clubs. Seems like the snow leopard 🐆 needs some lead tape on the front end.

Yes, for sure - I show it in the end of the video!
Good! Add its mcct rating, please
Didn't do ;-)
so great i was waiting for this!! ❤❤❤❤❤
nice looking model, good video, love the "ill be back" maybe add in "Hasta la vista"

No chance for wheelies in mine.

FCX24 and Hobby Plus parts will probably fit, all the 1/18 parts. It uses M2 screws, so a ton of aftermarket should work well (shocks, links, ...).
Would hobbywing mini 24 would fit got one on way and got a spare mini 24 atb Craig cheers for rundown brother
Probably yes, if you only wanna use the motor. Not sure about pinion, do not have the HW motor.
@ thanks bro
Looks more like 1/18 scale no?
Yes - but wheelbase is like SCX24. Most 1/18 have 155 mm, this truck 135 mm.

Wat is that battery checker?
Old ISDT, guess not sold anymore.

Wow disappointing. Wonder if it would be better on 3s
It is already much too fast. Donno if electronics would take 3s, and there is no room for a 3s battery, only a super flat battery compartment.
I would return it for another. I think your ESC or motor are flawed.
