Andrew the gasket set you need are very hard to find. I have a set of brand new lower ones imrc to head. The uppers are still made but lowers aren't any more.
So where does the dipstick tube and everything go? I have everything together for mine after my engine just go rebuilt and everything. I'm just trying to figure out if it goes behind the headers or in front?

I am getting ready to convert my 96 Thunderbird to carb if the Mk 8 engine will actually work I can have one right now and do the carb conversion to it instead of getting PI heads worked (I know but I want that cammed up lope that only carb can give) Awesome video. I rarely miss FL but seeing the Hardees by the PO fountain made me jealous

I recommend that you use a product called gumout to clean the inside of the engine. Hate to be that "GUY" but banging on a harmonic balancer with a hammer, even using a block a wood is big "HELL NO"!!! You can damage the thrust bearing. It may not show up right way but it can ruin the engine. Sometimes damage takes as long as 20k to 30k

Are you building a bird house or installing a seal! Use the actual tool ( chunk of wood) and waylay that sum bish indere . see you used the seal driver to install the front balancer .and you failed to torque the front cover ...... What the heck man, Yee all over the place. Lol
Mustang Lifestyle you want something that cleans aluminum then use wheel acid. Spray it with water then wheel acid. We use it in the race engine machine shop. Scrub it with a stick brush. Not to say e is nasty but shop boss would shit a brick if anything didn't look new. Our engines could have been left out in the rain open but when the customer gets it back it looks new even iron parts

+rcguy86 it could be spark plugs, fuel filter, coils, vacuum leak, or tune. It’s hard for me to tell you what it is without video or other symptoms

allen cox under headers on the block they look like half dollars they can go out and are a pain to replace when the engines on
allen cox pause at 1:00 and you will see the plugs at the bottom of screen. I think it's 3 on each side and 2 in back of block

One problem I noticed...not a good idea to leave out a windage tray. Oil froths, overheats and splashes everywhere...engine will lose power.
