I don't remember the year, but it was like the second coming. I left my body, he took me places I've never been. Top of the list, that one. . . U 0f F that one time. . .
Wait till she pulls out her slide and wails on it…. Saw trucks back in o4 and he had that slide. So sick. And Grace will do it. I been watching her on Reddit for years and she can do anything!!!
I'm hearing bits of Duane Allman, Dickey Betts, Luther Dickinson...not to mention Jimi and SRV...simply remarkable that a 17 year old can assimilate so much diverse music...
My faith in modern musicians has just come back, this type of music I grew up with; modern musicians are not really my cup of tea until now. Thank you Grace for restoring my faith in what’s to come in the future, stay healthy and safe & keep on rocking.
The mucicians are still coming and going at the same rate as before, it's only that the music companies don't see dollar signs one them so you can't rely on mainstream radio and media to make you aware of them. You gotta dig. It looks like Grace Bowers is bringing a lot of attention to other established musicians that have been around, and even some other young ones, that haven't gotten the mainstream money bath. She's not only fun for regular folk to listen to, but she's really a musician's musician to boot.
She's an amazingly talented kid, wow, a pleasure to watch & listen to her mesmerizing style, riffs, combined with an awesome stage presence, just feels hypnotic❤❤❤
Lord please bless and watch over this amazing young lady so we can enjoy and be delighted by her amazing guitar playing for many, many more years to come!!!
Her confidence, composure, and command keep improving... I really hope she's taking voice lessons and fronts her own band some day in the tradition of her heroes.
@@scottklandl488 Thanks for asking. Hendrix didn’t originally sing either and was content being a guitarist, but then their singer didn’t show up in one of his first solo studio sessions so he had to sing, and the rest is history. Her heroes also literally are guitarist/singers. I just gave you two good reasons. Plus, she has a nice speaking voice and some soul obviously, which usually translates to a good singing voice, and especially in blues. That’s three good reasons now. Thank you again for asking.
Such beautiful playing! There’s a bit of Chris Buck to her phrasing, which is about the highest compliment I can give! She doesn’t overplay; she gives the music room to breathe. Looking forward to many more years of awesome playing to come.
I've been taking lessons for about 2 months and I've only been messing with the guitar for maybe 6 altogether, if I can even get to be half as good as this little girl here I'll be a very happy guy. This girl is fantastic. I'd love to see her and Mr. Taj farrant duet together...... keep it up girl!!!!!!! Your gonna be a real legend some day. Remember the name y'all grace bowers ladies and gents is here!!!!
I just saw Grace and this band at BottleRock here in Napa, CA, just last night. Almost no one knew her before the show but now they will never forget her. She blew everybody's mind. She is classy, poised, and talented and it will be exciting to see where she takes this.
Brave taking on my favorite blues guitarist, Stevie Ray Vaughan. You sound brilliant! It makes my heart happy to hear young people playing the blues like he did. Thank you.
She did to SRV what SRV did to Hendrix, especially that lick at 7:20. She's bringing it to another level. It's a fairly long video with a slow start, so if you're initially un-wowed with some of the noodling, start at around 3:00 to see a solo guitar improvisation and watch how the initial theme is built up to a great climax. But don't miss 6:15! Amazing talent.
Wow!!! I'm see exactly what Nancy Wilson was talking about. You have a beautiful style and expression. Just keep moving and don't stop for "too" much play. You don't have to go anywhere you have arrived already! At 17 !!! You are now on my music list and I'm passing that to my sister and our friends. I really enjoyed that so much. Well be listening! Good luck 🍀
I'm always encouraged when I see these young ladies like grace keeping the flames burning for this wonderful instrument called the guitar...I think it's very good...we need this to remind us that the guitar is very much alive and it speaks to the soul...keep on burning those flames Grace.....🎸🎸🎸❤️❤️❤️
As I watched this, I'm thinking, "where is this kid getting all this stuff?" That pretty melodic sequence in the beginning was really heart rending at times, and the speed she has other times is really magnificent... wish you all good , and keep giving it, and you'll get it all back in time...Your fan, AL
She can definitely play! I can't wait for her to get angry and then get in the studio. It brings out the fire in a player (like EVH on Fair Warning album).
Anyone else find tears welling up in their eyes?
Yes and it's not so much what she plays as how she plays it.
I really do. How did you KNOW?
Definitely!! I’m an 88 yr old who has loved the blues since I was 12. Grace blew the lid off this one!!
My face is leaking 🥲
Yes it’s the hay fever
When I see talents like this along with Markus King and Billy Strings, I see hope for the musical future. Beautiful music.
Good golly, Miss Molly, that was unreal.
Taking it somewhere new....and old!
Amazing Grace !
Saw srv in 86,this young lady is bad ass!!! Soooo glad the younger folks still know great music!!!!!
@@dew6874 so did I at the Arizona state fair😃

Amazing skill set powered by an incredible sense of direction.
There is a hope for modern music
What chops this young lady has at only 17!! ❤❤
Amazing talent, putting in all the work gigging! 🙌🏼
Thank you Grace. You made my day. It has been years since I was moved so much.
Passion, Grace and Fire
There's some Derek Trucks vibes about some of this...but also wonderfully original
SRV Dipped in Truck's Sauce... Where is she appearing?
Yes! Nights in Harlem... and that´s a proove of great taste and talent. Derek Trucks vibes make any guitarists better👍 She is good!!!
Wait till she pulls out her slide and wails on it…. Saw trucks back in o4 and he had that slide. So sick. And Grace will do it. I been watching her on Reddit for years and she can do anything!!!
Wow!
Well done Grace. I love the variations on the riff in "Scuttlebuttin' ".
This is a great showcase of so many things you've learned, managed and accomplished in '23 and '24. And let's hear it for THE PODGE!
I never wanted that to end …. 🙌🏽
Depth and soul... All there. Keep on keeping on, Grace, and more power to you.
My eyes got heavy and I think I nodded off for a minute. peaceful like. Then you woke me up and ka bloooie I'm all wrapped around what's going on.
Seventeen and so good !! Hope she can keep her head on straight and people treat her well!!8
I'm hearing bits of Duane Allman, Dickey Betts, Luther Dickinson...not to mention Jimi and SRV...simply remarkable that a 17 year old can assimilate so much diverse music...
And Jeff Beck to my mind
Came here to say all of this. Was not disappointed.
It's disappointing that in all that blues, the only black guy you heard was Jimi. Maybe you need to listen to more actual blues.
Hendrix too.
My faith in modern musicians has just come back, this type of music I grew up with; modern musicians are not really my cup of tea until now. Thank you Grace for restoring my faith in what’s to come in the future, stay healthy and safe & keep on rocking.
Check out a band called The Warning, they too will restore your faith in modern musicians.
@@paulwood5803 Thank you Paul, I will give them a lookup 👍

This is AWESOME!!
She plays the blues the way she feels it this is not lost on me. This young woman playin makes this old man heart sing.
Lord please bless and watch over this amazing young lady so we can enjoy and be delighted by her amazing guitar playing for many, many more years to come!!!
People like Grace are resurrecting musicianship and rock / blues music. Long may she live and play. God bless her🙏🏼
It's amazing how her tonal delivery can invoke so many emotions in just 1 song!!!!
She literally LIVES her music somewhere between Joe Walsh and Carlos Santana. Just a pure talent.
Her confidence, composure, and command keep improving... I really hope she's taking voice lessons and fronts her own band some day in the tradition of her heroes.
Why? Why ? Why? She is already fronting her own band

Instrumental music is cool, too. There are more than enough words out there. It’s nice to hear stories told with instruments. ☮️☮️
Jimi, Eric, SRV, Bonnamasa, Knopfler, many more worked at it until they were good singers, or really guitarists who sing.
Voice lessons don't make a person into a singer.
I love how the vocalist is just enjoying this.

Yes, I hear @chrisbuck too early on!
Kid can play. Sheesh. And I love, in several videos, the folks in the background alternately in ecstasy or awe.
MY HEAVENS SAKE! I almost want to cry! GO CHILD! GO! ❤
Just incredible!! 👏👏👏👏👏
Man she brings tears to my eyes ❤
Me, too!
I'm enjoying Ester's enjoyment. Grace is amazing. She got herself a fine backing band too.
Esi's joy is infectious!
Amazing, Grace, how sweet the sound!
I love this girl...she is going to murder it!
Stunning work, my god!

There’s a new king in town. Or should I say queen. Very impressive Grace.
Fantastic - so good to see a new generation playing this stuff... I'd love to see you share a stage with Kingfish... That would be sonic heaven!
My Gush, maestra Grace ❤ congratulations for speaking out your voice from the guitar☆ ANDRéS CASTILLO MUSIC UA-cam official channel ®️ 👉 fan.☆
God damn this girl can play.
I’ve been following Grace ever since she came on the scene. Her version of SRV’s “Lenny” is soooo good - she brought tears to my eyes!!!
The tone in that song leaves nothing to hide behind and she absolutely slayed it! What a talented young woman!
THIS really shows how much all of you guys were meant to be together!
Simply amazing & so very awesome!!!!

I don't know what's better? Her hair or her guitar skills! She's crushing it! Nice to see someone so young and talented! Go get em Grace!
Watch her face, she FEELS this music. Amazingly, I'm making the same faces just listening.
Watched a clip earlier she was talkin'' to her ax and achieved the desired result.
God I miss Stevie. So glad his music is living on across the generations!
She made it hers while showing hommage.
Merci.
Wow!!!! 'Rocking the roof off' !!! Incredible skill and expression! A superb live performance with 110% confidence! 😎
She reminds me of a young Nancy Wilson! Great stuff...
I’d love to see Grace play a gig with Nancy & Ann Wilson
Just incredible, and reassuring there are young musicians like her who get it.
holy smoke, that was awesome
That was pretty badass!
Beautiful tribute to another special player. Makes me happy.
Her talent deserves that tone. My goodness. It doesn’t get better than that.

What a little monster, great band as well. Good show by all.
Hendrix and SRV sent us an angel! x
Perfect expression my friend!!!
I hope everyone around her takes good care of her!
The Bass player looks like he's got a black belt in Karate
I have a feeling she can take care of herself!

Good stuff Grace. You remind me of Sadie Johnson, ten years ago, when she was 16.
Watching and hearing Grace play really feels great. So inspiring!
Grace, you are fucking cool and thank you for playing real music! Lenny- one of my favs!
She's a huge talent.
Fabulous fabulous fabulous. Bliss guitar this Girl. Remarkable.
Huge appreciation from Australia 🇦🇺 Grace - your guitar playing skills are amazing. SRV would be proud.

SRV is smiling down from heaven right now.
the "Old Man in the attic" cries...........thank you!
Bass player is in a trance just on autopilot back there. This entire thing is magic....far out.
What a feeling! Grace reminds me of Ana Popovic at the beginning of her career. It is difficult to me to say which one of them I admire more.

Restores my faith for the future of music.
Amazing. Her command over the guitar, her feel. I haven't heard such a soulful guitarist, Instant fan ❤
She can definitely play! I can't wait for her to get angry and then get in the studio. It brings out the fire in a player (like EVH on Fair Warning album).
I was sitting close to this spot 😊
