Her personality is as great as her playing. So much maturity, wisdom, and poise. I wish all the best for her!
This girl is making kids want to pick up the guitar. Thats a huge deal. This industry has enough grumpy old men. Love to see it 🤘
Amen to this
You know she won't blow you for writing that phony shit, right?
There are a lot of 17 year old guitar players who are better than her…
@@vaportrails7943sure. I’m not arguing that at all. I’m sure somewhere in the world there’s a 9 year old better than her. But she’s the one getting releasing atrentuon-getting content, so the algorithm is pushing her, and she gets interviewed by media outlets like Premier Guitar, and so she gets more attention.
@@vaportrails7943 There has always been lots of great musicians going nowhere. Often they lack the creativity, but knowing the right people and writing/finding the right songs is crucial too. Finally you need a bit of luck to release the right material at the right time. For most hits in history you can find multiple very similar well produced songs by other artists/bands of that time that went nowhere.
Very genuine, humble, young lady. Hell of a player. Love to see it.
Grace is such an honest, original and authentic talent ......one of the most exciting musicians to emerge in a very long time.....
Such a lovely personality with confidence and guitar knowledge beyond her years.
This is an excellent interview .........Thank You Premier Guitar 🙏
How do you know someone is a guitar prodigy? When they are 17 years old and people are gifting or lending them a '61 SG, a '59 Burst, and a '60 335. Also when everyone in Nashville wants to play with them (or do interviews). Looking forward to everything Grace is going to do with the guitar!
Or they see her look as easy to market and sell guitars to simps like a model for clothes
@@conordyer2307 If that was the case they'd give her something people could actually go out and buy - not 70+ year old guitars. Your comment doesn't make any sense at all. Take a few minutes and watch any of the hundreds of videos of her playing - it has nothing to do with her "Look".
God that 335!! What a great kid! Great job John!
The girl can play!! If this is what the young generation is coming to, I don’t think we have to worry about the guitar dying out any time soon.
Sadly, more don’t care about older music, unless it’s on a movie or clip they watch.
There are far more who only listen to mainstream pop music, rap and R&B.
Some, also listen to pop country, which most of it is now.
I’ve played with some younger folks, in the past few years, and they take they compile set lists, based on videos or stickers on the most covered songs.
I played with a band thst wanted to do a Reggae meets Southern Rock vibe, and the number of songs they had, that they thought were originals, by either Ziggy, Stephen or Damian Marley, but were actually covers of their father’s was shocking.
I then played 5 or 6 Marley songs so know, that aren’t on the Greatest Hits album, snd they’d heard none of them before.
I found this with several groups of musicians I played with.
They’d know an artist from the past 20 years, maybe back to the 90’s, but other than the most well known ones, they wouldn’t know the music.
Most of them had never played a Hendrix song, or so they thought, because several though Little Wing and/or Bold as love were SRV and John Mayer songs.
I asked if they ever liked at the songwriting credits, snd most said no.
I’ve found young players, who are doing better songs, like Grace, and know their music history more, but they were the exception.
*guitar isn’t dying, it’s just a million miles from being a part of the mainstream, as it was in every decade since the 60’s, through the horrid 2001-2010 years.
Always grateful musicians out there, but most rely on playlists made by a streaming service for them, instead of listening to an album by one artist.
I could listen to that intro over and over. P90s really are a gift
Very cool! I hope to see more Rig Rundowns of Grace in the future. Seeing a musician grow as an artist and gear head is always interesting to see. :)
That '61 SG is beautiful 😮
Wow! Her playing that Les Paul - just, WOW! If she plays near me, I'm definitely going.
What an amazing player! Great interview
So comforting to see a real ORIGINAL player. Love the way she slides through notes!
Go Grace! Love your phrasing and riffs. Can't wait to hear the record.
What a great Rig. Great guitars, Amp, and Tone!
What a star ! Awesome talent and she genuinely seems like a good egg
Put a Music City Bridge on that thing. Uncle Larry rules.
Amazing!
What a great girl, she'll be a legend some day. Wish her all the best.
I love how she cracks herself up...great playing...great guitars ! Thanks P.G. !
thanks for checking it out!
What a find this young lady is, personality, intelligence, talent, beauty..... she has it all. The future looks bright for you Grace and I hope you have a super career ahead of you. You certainly deserve it. I am blown away by your skill and at only 17 years old it is incredible. I have played blues for over 40 years and am so envious of your talent at such a young age. At 17, I think I was still trying to work out who I was. I was clueless at 17 and here you are, confident, mature, intelligent and so talented. Keep on rocking Grace, and everything of the very best for your future.
Man she’s got great tone. Super cool gear- going to check out her music!
Very awesome you are doing artists that are breaking in and breaking out.
She’s a smart, talented and lovely young woman. Love her playing style, it’s unique.
She has a nice touch with her right hand adding so much tone wirh her fingers.
Go Grace Go ❤
Grace rawks! She's an old soul on the strings and tone oozes from her young fingers. She deserves every bit of praise she's received and then some!
She’s been progressing and just hit another level, with her soloing and playing in general, since I found her about a year ago.
People think she has a huge repertoire she's only 17 let her grow damn
Pretty sure either A LOT of people are aware or NOT aware, but that "pick hold" is originally from King Edward, I trained myself after noticing him doing it between "tapping" way back in the time of rewinding VHS Tapes! Super Cool 😎
Love the sg finally some love
Phenomenal
The 335 had the low E thru the tailpiece but all other strings top wrapped. Cool…never saw that before.
I just love the presenter as always ✌🏻
It’s one thing to have technique but this girl has Soul in her playing. Keep it up!
Nice finishing chord on that opening jam.
She's a fantastic player!
Osborne’s studio is a dream
Fine interview, fine player!
TENs!!! daym I was sure she was on 8’s or 9’s, she beast!
Talented girl! Has an old soul in her, thank God we still have young people like this to save the world
Holy crap she's amazing at it. 😎🤘
Santana started out on a SG with P90s as well, as seen on Woodstock.
She makes that sg sound like a tele
1/3 my age playing guitars old than me with skill and inspiration. Hope for the future is strong.
My brother-in-law grew up friends and playing baseball with the Osborne boys in Deale MD. Good to see some Maryland boys doing well in the music business.
I confess I don't know country music but I was NOT ready for that sound at 16:35. Really interesting rundown, thanks.
what a nice person, love her playing..interesting SG...with no bridge🙂
That 59 though!!!!!!
ain't that the truth! Good grief
Ok! YES!
Yep. She is cool.
Sg is my dream guitar too
There are videos out there of her playing high school talent shows and playing the National Anthem at minor league baseball games Gibson signed her early and is guiding her career
Now she has become a young woman and not some kid just playing riffs on social media
Get that!!!
Dude! Off topic, very cool eyeglass frames.
My thoughts exactly....
She has to be some legend reincarnated to be that good at 17
Hey man, when are you going to interview ' Body Count?
To all the haters here , grow up. Can't we just wish her all the best in her career. It seems like a lot of jealousy out there. Go Grace Go
Awesome interview.
OMG
Grace is the kinda Girl you want to hang out with and talk about guitar stuff all day long
Awesome guitar player. Awesome hair.
The indictment of leaving the trem on an SG but disconnecting it! that's so funny, those things are wooonky.
She is going to be massive....
Love her curly hair! Cute!
Is that a legit Dumble Steel String Singer behind her? What studio is this.
This is John Osborne’s studio from Brothers Osborne. Studio Time/Andrew Masters did a video on the studio lately. I think it’s a high dollar clone but I am not sure.
Which strings actually die after one show?
How she got all those wonderful guitars? 😮
Simps and rich parents
The 335 is the producer’s.
2:10 What the F is up with that tailpiece securing stud on the high E side?
Good catch bro👍 wouldn't be surprised if that causes tuning instability
... SHE'S ONLY 17? ( WINGER?!?!??!) And that's so many have already said, SO HUMBLE!!!!!!!!!!! And that 335!!! It only needs a strat pickup and lots of stickers to be Alvin Lee's!!!!!!!!!! And... She's got her hands... Those amazing, lovely hands, on a 1959 Les Paul!!!!!!!!!!!! And she's very young, and has to be experienced, So I'll forgive her 😸 for not using a Vox AC30!!!!!!!!!!!!!.. And... Her inexperience with pedals, to get the best tone she could POSSIBLY HAVE!!!!!!!!!! And, great video of how pedal noise DISAPPEARS when you're playing!... And..."roll the dice on that one!!!"... And... FINALLY a video where you can hear the gear!!!!!!!!!!!
Bella/Linda.✡️💓💓💓💓💓💓🧨🌡️
7:45 - she's so mature she even came up with a lame dad joke :)
Well people are wondering if these interviews and her marketing are being paid off to push views and attention. I'll tell you what. I dont care! the guitar is being pushed more in modern culture! its a win!
Cute with curly hair. I don't have this advantage :)
So they did this before she got her big pedalboard😂
I bet John Osbourne loves that belt buckle and zipper jacket kissing his 335...😀
Suhweet, she seemed nervous in a very legit innocent way. I hope the industry does not ruing that.
At least there are some real ones like Kingfish.
Weird thing to keep that vibrato still on there 😆 🤣 I'd have to take that off
Opening jam ... a style not so dissimilar to John I dare say
Neural DSP advert
Man, the noise floor on that amp, they are such noisy models…get her an amp to match those guitars asap
😉👍
Hopefully, she'll turn more kids on to the Blues.
Great rig rundown, but seriously John… white socks!? Really????!!! 😂 (just having fun)
She’s gorgeous. Like a talented Taylor swift kind 😂
Wow! If it is true that there are actually guitar folk on here who are hating and dissing then i think its hilarious. I mean youre the guy sat watching her on youtube getting all jealous and getting on your soapbox like you have a remotely relevant opinion! Commenting with your judgement on her skill level is something that doesnt help anyone. In the words of the great Billy Gibbons, " you dont have to be the best one, just be a good un" and also the only opinion that counts is your own cos anyone who doesnt like it just doesnt get it, and those are the words of the great Me!
Something weird is going on here. There are many 17 year old guitar players who are better than she is, but she gets all these opportunities? It’s not like she sings either. Is her dad the head of a label or something?
Gibson is pushing her too, like a model for clothes they are using her to sell gibsons to girls and simps
Agreed! However, theres always people that play better but you do make a point about singing 😂
“Finance”
I see your in an advert for the Quad Cortex but you don't rock it, the whole buyers remorse tells me I shoulda bought another fiddle insted
She reminds me of that chick who plays bass. They should get together and tangle their hair with great blues jamming all over the place.
Tal Wilkenfeld? Tal’s been playing guitar a bit.
The music is so same old soup though
i wonder if being a beautiful young lady helps with all that great gear 😋😜🤪😝🤑 and opportunities ha ha h a, a perfect example of privilege and beauty over talent
Don’t be mad because you’re less talented AND less beautiful.
Are we going to continue to pretend that her parents haven't manufactured her entire career since she was a tween and allowed/pushed her to enter one of the most well-known sleezy and scummy industries? It's honestly depressing seeing another kid, and another girl at that, being ushered into this type of career that preys on youth and inexperience which will evetually discard them when the next shiny "prodigy" comes along.
Grace is clearly still a child, and without any disrespect intended she acts like one as would be expected. Her parents should be ashamed of themselves.
How in the hell ????!!!!... Playing a 59 LP and doesn't seem to have reverence to understand that's she is playing a guitar that's worth more than your house..... The CEO from Gibson??? ... With all due respect, i want to know the rest of the story.... I missing something...
everyone is wondering this. it's....strange to say the least
The Taylor Swift lookalike guitar prodigy gets noticed and backed by some heavy hitters and you wonder why or how? Isn’t it obvious she’s a real one and the music city scene news travels fast.
Im so glad the distinguished gentleman in the industry are giving the young girls a break in the music industry, and im sure it has nothing to do with them being just the purtyest lil thangs 🙄
It is so obvious that this is pushed. She hardly has a single released. But she is getting interviewed everywhere. It' s so obviously bought and paid for....
This guy is over here, surprised that NASHVILLE is MARKETING a music star. I for one I’m shocked! Shocked I tell you!
Oh quit your whining. She plays all kinds of music with a variety of musicians, and she’s getting better fast. It’s exciting to watch young talent unfold before our eyes. Attributing that to anything but talent and hard work is obviously jealousy and envy on your part. ☮️☮️
Yeah really pushed, she doesn’t really have a solid command of the instrument yet. She sounds like someone who’s working really really hard on their playing but who’s still only a few years in, nowhere near the 10K hours.
To be fair to the original commenter, there was never a remark that questioned her abilities. It’s ok to question the system that uses these artists to generate awareness and wealth. Many of us are capable talented musicians but are not deemed ‘Special’ by industry terms, or as defined… “a thing that is designed or organized for a particular purpose.”
She is an amazing talent at her age and will only get better through practice and support. But again can anyone name their favorite original song of hers? and not the one that was released two days ago with a put together band.
I actually like her and think she’s a good guitarist especially for her age, but all these interviews and her seemingly coming out of nowhere lead to me thinking she’s an industry plant with wealthy parents… but it’s better to have an industry plant like this girl rather than some of the soundcloud rappers
She is young and female. A novelty act. Tons of better players not getting any spotlight. Spare me the WOW factor she is an ok player but no where near Nashville good.
And you're a greasy troll in a youtube comment section shitting on the young generation for being successful. Maybe you should get back to practicing and fantasizing about being a novelty act somewhere.
Funny how all these channels just pick someone to be the new flavor. She isnt really that good.
