I don't know what it is about this channel, I always feel like I'm looking at PEOPLE. Flesh and bones and scars, the beautiful and the ugly. Feels very honest and open, it makes me the happiest and saddest at the same time. Love it.
Wow, killer guitarist! And for someone so young, she has a great instinct for classic songwriting, band leadership and disciplined virtuosity. Clearly a true music lover. On top of all that, she's super beautiful and stylish! How is this not THE teen idol in music right now?
I had the Western AF playlist on while I was welding today, not paying much attention till this song was about halfway through. I hear it and I'm like what happened to my station? So i go over to my phone and look and am amazed at what I see.. i sent this performance to all my friends, not what I typically expect from this channel but that's why I love it. Keep up the great work Grace and Western AF.
Wow! As a Huge SRV fan Mad props to Grace and the band! I know a lot of musicians and have seen and met Stevie. Scuttle Buttin was always his warm up song and I only know of one guitarist that can handle that song! Thank you for keeping this LEGENDS memory alive! You have obviously paid attention to learn this from the man that just had the music ooze out of his soul!😁 RIP SRV 🎸💙
I grew up in Austin, can't even tell you how many times I saw SRV live . Grace kicks ass and does an awesome job on his sound and tracks... bravo . I can not wait to see her live!
this girl is the next gen guitar hero. I am the biggest SRV fan and this is probably the best cover of this song ever, Stevie is looking at this and saying: you go girl!
Thank you for capturing this historic moment in time and space with excellent footage. I know I’ll be bragging for the rest of my life about how I used to see Grace Bowers at the Underdog
So refreshing to watch someone play SRV's songs and not sound like a frickin' clone like 90% of the wannabees out there LOL! Great job Grace Bowers and The Hodge Podge!
Some dudes really showing their ass in the comments. You guys afraid of a woman who can play guitar or something? Or are you so dedicated to your preconceived aesthetic notion of what “western” is that you’re completely ignorant of the actual history linking country, western, blues, and rock? Grace absolutely rocks and the band is tight as hell. Keep it up, Western AF.
A thing of beauty is a joy for ever❤❤❤❤the joy of life is waking every morning ! Oh Dog almighty I miss my son. Gone 4- 24-2024 - RTW & SRV gone 8-27-90 be in a better place.
thanks man. my dad was a blues musician and my house was full of music every weekend growing up. this made me feel at home for a few mins. amazing band.
Really nice to hear someone playing in the style of SRV , only thing I'm thinking is even the playing field with the same type of gear as the greats 🎸 and I think she is good to go 👍
that Strat would look great with a matching white finish on the headstock. Fender don't often do it to Strats and Teles, but it looks boss when they do. i just got a cream Tele with a matching headstock, dark fretboard. very 60's vintage tuxedo. first song i played on it was Sharp Dressed Man, it seemed appropriate.

Wuaoooo Grace que bien vale,Grace lee el libro el principito,tú eres la princesita que estás escribiendo tu historia tu pluma es tu guitarra y a través de ella vas contando tú historia, eres adorable que afortunados son tus padres deberías presentarlos
I really, *really* wanna see Grace team up with a great songwriter and singer to make something original. She's the most talented new guitarist I've seen in a long time, and that would be like setting up this generations GnR: amazing rockin' guitar with talented song writing.
She can't sing and doesn't dance. . . Taylor Swift is technically more talented and reaches/speaks to more of an audience as far as music genres. Without singing, and not being part of a band that doesn't play funk, it's hard to see her getting much bigger than she already is. Playing 45 minutes of solos per set gets old pretty quick imho.
it's a great track, not really sure why it's here though, as there is absolutely nothing western about it. Maybe it's just like with country/western music in general, the closer they get to Nashville, the more Western AF loses it way.
No. Why would I be? I wasn't born when it happened. :) His much more significant change to Christian music did receive a significant public backlash, but I don't care what type of music a band or individual wants to play. This cover of SRV was excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This is a channel though, that has set itself up in opposition to the generic algorithmic pop music that is modern Nashville country. So, to see them highlighting rock/pop music in Nashville is a bit disappointing. If this is the future they want, then maybe the channel name should change to "Western WIC (when it's convenient)."

That’s the best description I’ve ever read. That’s what we do. Thank you.
You hit the nail on the head!🤘🏼
Never heard of Grace before yesterday. Now I keep clicking on her videos.
This is absolutely MIND BLOWING. Peak performance musicians. This is the definition of being in the pocket.
Wow, killer guitarist! And for someone so young, she has a great instinct for classic songwriting, band leadership and disciplined virtuosity. Clearly a true music lover. On top of all that, she's super beautiful and stylish! How is this not THE teen idol in music right now?
Because she's ACTUALLY talented.
Nice analysis! You are right about the classic approach that she uses. Very precise
SRV covers are some of my favorite moments in music. Loving these versions!! Thank you!!
Grace Bowers sure did them justice.
Very Nice! I was a bit shocked to see Grace Not playing an SG. Great job!

Both her and her whole band are super talented players!
Amen
When I listen to these young guys, who try their hand at songs from my youth that I grew up with. I make peace with the World.
Great performances of both songs, and I love the transition between the two!
Wow!
As a Huge SRV fan
Mad props to Grace and the band!

So great when such talent throws this music back out there. Yet another stellar performance from Grace and the band.
What an extraordinary talent she is !!!! 👍🏼❤️
this girl is the next gen guitar hero. I am the biggest SRV fan and this is probably the best cover of this song ever, Stevie is looking at this and saying: you go girl!
I think this is the most unfiltered performance I've seen with Grace. And getting some nice Michael Shrieve vibes from that drum solo! Go get em!
Thank you for capturing this historic moment in time and space with excellent footage. I know I’ll be bragging for the rest of my life about how I used to see Grace Bowers at the Underdog

Love the Underdog! It'll always be my favorite place to see Grace play!
So good!

Exactly lol, if they could do better, why aren’t they onstage?
How can you not love Grace and band? They are great musicians that clearly enjoy their gig! Much fun🙏💗👍. BTW, her debut release is one hot biscuit!
Praise the day Grace Bowers was born!
Hell yeah
Incredible ! Cheers
Hard to believe she's only 17. I hope she can stay safe through her twenties - she's amazing.
Right you are! The twenty-seven club doesn’t need any more musicians.
It's OK.
a lot of talent on that stage
SRV Tribute Indeed 🙏, Give it up for Grace on that Strat👏, and least we forget the drummer 🥁 👍
Heaven on Earth, Rock and Roll.
Been watching Grace for a while now, she's the real deal; you can feel her love of music.
A thing of beauty is a joy for ever❤❤❤❤the joy of life is waking every morning ! Oh Dog almighty I miss my son. Gone 4- 24-2024 - RTW & SRV gone 8-27-90 be in a better place.
❤love your positive outlook
What an absolute jam!!!
I hear some Derek Trucks in there as well. Without the slide.
She is fearless! SRV is some tough stuff to play
I couldn’t do it. But in all things grace bowers, it is possible
thanks man. my dad was a blues musician and my house was full of music every weekend growing up. this made me feel at home for a few mins. amazing band.
what just happened? good god. guess i'm looping this for the next hour or so
Really nice job by all of You .keep on rocking .
hot damn that drummer is going crazy!
Great playing! Also: Excellent Bass Face!
Really nice to hear someone playing in the style of SRV , only thing I'm thinking is even the playing field with the same type of gear as the greats 🎸 and I think she is good to go 👍
Дорогая Грэйс! Спасибо за новое видео!!!❤❤❤❤
As both a guitar player AND admirer of women playing them, I gotta say that I love a gorgeous woman playing a strat like it's no tomorrow! 😁
Wow, that was great! 🤘🏻🔥
I was there.....good times
Great song. And she has a gorgeous guitar face. She really gives off Suzi Quatro vibes.
WHOA. Blown away.
Gave me ghost of SRV vibes and I LIKE it!!!!
I heard a little Dickey Betts in there, too.
Girl's definately on it.
I love this!!! I wish her and the band all the best.
What a solid good track and playing 💪🏻💪🏻
Such a killer jam
Is the best in this machine.. and she's 18... And she knows what she wants 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanx Grace an Gang 💐❤🎸🕊🍉🌍✊
that Strat would look great with a matching white finish on the headstock. Fender don't often do it to Strats and Teles, but it looks boss when they do.
i just got a cream Tele with a matching headstock, dark fretboard. very 60's vintage tuxedo. first song i played on it was Sharp Dressed Man, it seemed appropriate.
She killed it 👍
The drummer is like a damn machine gun. I would love to jam with that guy!
Playing a strat is as pure as you can get on a electric guitar it's something you have to work at trying the sound, guitar and player as one.
Goosebumps
Thank you 😊
Forgive me. I had heard the name, but never actually listened to Miss Bowers until now. I've been missing out.
How is the audio on this so good? It somehow doesn't sound like your normal live camera shot video. Did you get audio off the board?

I like to think SRV would hear this and start boot skootin' along with the beat.
Grace good guitar work.😊😊😊😊🎉🎉❤❤❤The bestPAUL
I think mom would like this
Western? maybe not... AF.. uh.... Hell yeah. WHOOOO!
"Stops Us In Our tracks"
You and the rest of us.
Hell yeah
🫡🙌✅
Leave some licks for the rest of us, Bowers. lol
She is the best out on this machine man, maybe Gary can keep up, maybe Marcus.... maybe
Go the Podge⚡️👍
Tout ce que j’aime une guitare qui parle vraiment haoù trop bon❤😂🎉❤😂🎉

Oh we are gonna tackle SRV? Aight....
[Listens intently]
Hell yeah. Nice job.

Theres something quite Jeff Beck esque about her solo here!
Out fuckin standing
So sick
I was there

🔥🔥🔥
SRV is looking down and saying DAMN girl you got it !!!!
Man das some good shit
Gracie!
um, if rock doesn't have some western roots (among many) .......
Western Auto Focus?
🌌🌠🌟🩷💜🩷🌟🌠🌌
She is fantastic. She is a female Joe Bonamassa. If they toured together, they would have sellout crowds across the 🌎 world.
Rip srv
The Ads mid performance absolutely kills the vibe... Idk if it is UA-cam running them mid solo or the channel... greedy snakes...
*Nashville AF
Best of the best of the Ukrainian
Grace Bowers should play an Yngwie Malmsteen stratocaster, the one with the scalloped neck.
Грэйс просто чудо !!!! Она не просто грамотна , она ещё и прекрасно чувствует .
Young, pretty, and extremely talented. I pray the industry doesn’t take her soul and “Taylor swift” her.
Girl just turned 18. Can you do what she does? Your comment reeks of jealousy.
Lava cord, never sounded better
It would be nice to hear her but the other people wouldn't shut up
it's a great track, not really sure why it's here though, as there is absolutely nothing western about it. Maybe it's just like with country/western music in general, the closer they get to Nashville, the more Western AF loses it way.
Were you mad when Dylan went electric?
No. Why would I be? @@BoulevardTrash99 btw, the music on your channel is excellent.
Its just a title man, its not that deep
SRV is Texas Blues
I would hardly call that 'Lenny" , but overall not a bad set. She's getting there.
You really wail.
She rocks
Now what did we learn here? For the doc crew, always use a directional mic. For the band member, shut it when your band leader is doing an interview.
didn't reach me. But they sound nice.
