I love this format! One suggestion i have tho: Especially for cards that are super reliant on the combo pieces it would be great if you would add like 3 cards of that deck to look at and get a better idea if such deck could be viable or not with these support cards. I see you saying if this card had support it would be good. That way you could see some support and take a better guess if it would be good or not. Jerry would be broken in MtG in low-power formats, reason being, you can delete your lands at will to thin your deck and only draw meaningful stuff. The continuous effect seems very good for grinding the opponent down with consistently better value later too. I wonder if something like this will be possible in Shadowverse at some point, but it looks like the game is too aggressive for ir to work there.
Yo this was super fun :D I haven't played too much Shadowverse but I actually did pretty decent at this one (at least compared to other episodes). Shoutout to Ignideus! This was a great episode and he was a fantastic guest.
Awesome stuff. I really liked how, even if you still continue to be HS-main content maker, you really became a bridge between communities. So yeah, keep it up, you doing great stuff! :) One thing - to me card picks for this video was a little... Well, dodgy, because ~90% of them was hard to evaluate in vacuum, they are too reliable on how archetype is playable in general. So this is a little nit-pick, but, again, still an awesome video.
44:40 wielder of cosmos is almost always put in resonance portal. This card is just an auto-win against bahamut (a mill deck) decks since their only win condition is you having no cards in your deck but since it just puts cards in your deck it's a hard counter.
> I can't imagine how long it takes to spend 50 mana Even without accelerate recovering points 50 mana is just 10 turns of playing on curve and 5 additional mana. With the essentially tradeable legendary consuming 5 mana every time it's traded it's gotta be able to invoke on turn 9 or even earlier.

It would be cool for Hearthstone to have Banish effect to have some sort of counter for op deathrattle in the future. Remember Reno hero card? It battlecry said it magically disappear *poof*. That the only banish in hearthstone. 50:12 ok this card might be sound so non interactive. But remember the cosmos card before, it evolve effect Banish 10 card in your deck and put 10 clone of itself into the deck. It doesn't necessarily need 10 cards, to put the clone to the deck. So when your deck have banished by Bahamut you can evo that to refill your deck. There is other card that refill your deck to counter this (Like Kazakusan for hearthstone example.) Ignideus cards line up that he pick is really great
My two favorite card games crossing over, alongside two of my favorite creators for each game. This was just fantastic. Rarran this is seriously great work! Loved it.
I love how I know nothing of either game and can not only follow along for the most part but understand most points made. The card game community is wild and awesome
this is essentially a really interesting information gathering game, using your early results to shape the mental model of the game as you go. The juno fusion card ranking meant that drawing or generating cards is trivial. The bad 20 dmg otk card means that games likely end before 8, and there aren't many ways to get cheap spells.
I've started playing Shadowverse recently and even the tutorial cards are something else. For example, the Nature Necromancer one: This deck revolves completely around a tree that costs 1 mana to cast, and when it dies, you can draw a card. But then if you play another tree, the previous tree dies. But then there's a Witch that everytime the tree dies, you can summon a 2/1 undead pet that can attack immediately enemy followers, but not the enemy hero in that turn. Also if the pet dies, you get to draw one tree. And also there's a cute doggy that gets stats everytime a tree dies. So the whole deck is about getting a bunch of these trees and then get on the field the witch or the dog, spam trees, wipe out the enemy board with the undead pets while buffing the dog and eventually win that turn or next turn. Also a lot of cards in that deck allow you to get either a free tree or a card that can summon a tree for free. But this is also an UNDEAD deck, so, everytime a creature (including undead pets and trees) dies, you gain a shadow, and you can use these shadows to do extra stuff, like, there's a card that if you have more shadows than cards in your deck, you get to summon that card for free from your deck, and do a bunch of stuff. It's really much more entertaining than Heartstone, in my opinion
You're talking about Natura Shadow, and btw, these are not exactly the "tutorial cards", these are actual meta decks that you can use in story more for free. Well, "meta" as in, they used to be meta and rotated out, and too slow for Unlimited(wild format).
Weeeww I've been waiting for a vid like this~ I play SV daily (migrated from HS a few years back; didn't care for the game after Brode left, but I still find videos about HS entertaining) and I actually sub to Ignideus lol So this video was amazing to watch~
I wish one day he would invite Moonfassa and do such a video with Faeria cards, because the mechanics are so similar to Hearthstone but yet sooo different.
I totally love it when you guess cards in different games. It would be so cool if there would be such video about Gwent or Horus heresy: legions! These games have some really interesting and unique mechanics, different from hearthstone.
Idk if Ignideus teaches or coaches in any capacity but I really appreciate how clear and concise he is with his explanations, especially with accommodating for a Hearthstone audience.
What I liked in Shadowverse when I played it a while ago is the fact that the devs have no shame when it comes to printing crazy cards. It's a balancing philosophy that is less about only nerfing overpowered stuff and more about giving batshit insane tools to everyone in large amount and on a regular basis, which make many strategies fun yet viable for casual players. However, the game can be kinda overwhelming for newcomers, especially if you're coming from Hearthstone.
43:00 so its a card that changes your deck to the card it draws (maybe) so u can chain them (maybe) and draw more its a lot of stuff and looks cool for hearthstone (fatigue has well) and its just really cool and good (in hearthstone)
These cards were super interesting to compare to other TCG’s! Especially that last card, Bahamut. I also saw it as a card to counter control decks, but thinking about the effect more, it actually WANTS to be played by control decks. Even if the effect let your opponent PICK the five cards… it still wouldn’t be enough cards for your opponent to ever catch up.
The funny thing is, in Bahamut vs Bahamut mirror match, the game boils down to whoever can invoke Ultimate Bahamut first, since banishing random cards from your opponents deck potentially banish their Bahamuts too.
Would to see this done again but with cards from all sets ever printed. Shadowverse has always had some very interesting and honestly broken cards. So seeing some from the past/wild sets would be really fun :)
1 of my Biggest complaints with Shadowverse is that (at least when I played) is that their Arena Mode only lasted for 5 games before you got rewards. It kind of sucks that you could draft the most fun deck ever, go 5-0 and then be forced to stop.

@@Aleks-e8g oh I see, I just got the deck out of nowhere in the first story and thought it was some sort of tutorial deck
Weeeww I've been waiting for a vid like this~ I play SV daily (migrated from HS a few years back; didn't care for the game after Brode left, but I still find videos about HS entertaining) and I actually sub to Ignideus lol So this video was amazing to watch~
This looks like the card game I’d be most willing to play outside of hearthstone from watching these videos. Thanks for exposing your boy 🙌
I wish one day he would invite Moonfassa and do such a video with Faeria cards, because the mechanics are so similar to Hearthstone but yet sooo different.
You did something I didn't think would happen for a long time. Getting back into SV. Thank you Wawwan
I totally love it when you guess cards in different games. It would be so cool if there would be such video about Gwent or Horus heresy: legions! These games have some really interesting and unique mechanics, different from hearthstone.
Idk if Ignideus teaches or coaches in any capacity but I really appreciate how clear and concise he is with his explanations, especially with accommodating for a Hearthstone audience.
i think he said at some point of the video that he is a shadowverse tournament caster
Probably got a quite some experience talking about the game
What I liked in Shadowverse when I played it a while ago is the fact that the devs have no shame when it comes to printing crazy cards. It's a balancing philosophy that is less about only nerfing overpowered stuff and more about giving batshit insane tools to everyone in large amount and on a regular basis, which make many strategies fun yet viable for casual players.
However, the game can be kinda overwhelming for newcomers, especially if you're coming from Hearthstone.
Thank you for doing this! Great content. You are a rock star
43:00 so its a card that changes your deck to the card it draws (maybe) so u can chain them (maybe) and draw more its a lot of stuff and looks cool for hearthstone (fatigue has well) and its just really cool and good (in hearthstone)
I just redownloaded shadowverse, you should get sponsored to do these
Ignideus is one of the best guest yet. Don’t know who he is but he put everything in HearthStone terms and is interesting in his reveals.
This felt like a 20 min video! Nice work Rarran
This was fun to watch, hoping more people look into shadowverse even more
that bahamut pronunciation sent me. At this point Rarran is the SaffronOlive of Hearthstone
Decided to rewatch this, and it took 10 months and a buff for Mars 10:33 to be good, just when she's about to rotate out of the expansion lol.
Awesome video , igni was an awesome guest!
Actually didn't know this game existed! Going to check it out after I finish the video! Thanks Rarran
This is my favorite series. I love learning out other games like this
Would to see this done again but with cards from all sets ever printed. Shadowverse has always had some very interesting and honestly broken cards. So seeing some from the past/wild sets would be really fun :)
I wonder what Rarran would think of Deepwood Anomaly
1 of my Biggest complaints with Shadowverse is that (at least when I played) is that their Arena Mode only lasted for 5 games before you got rewards. It kind of sucks that you could draft the most fun deck ever, go 5-0 and then be forced to stop.
Rarran “I think it would be good in a deck that can play it”
Everyone else “CORRECT”
Ignideus has such good energy, really hope to see more shadow shadowverse guessing videos, you two worked well together.
25:44 Cernunnos is the Celtic god of the wild, he's basically Cenarias. It's pronounced 'care-noon-us' :D
i just love that more and more different card games is being brought, really interesting!
Rarran's just-woke-up voice keeps me alive
Ignideus is mad chill, great vid :D
glad to see a long video rarran
Now, im waiting Rarran trying to guess Gods: Unchained cards.
ah man i miss shadowverse, i forgot why i stopped playing it
I get to play Shadowverse a lot when it came out. The art is reallly beatiful! You should try it
Should've shown some of the Unlimited powerhouses like basically Time Warp
27:00 that's not cern artwork is it...
Rarran stating he has difficulties saying some card names correctly in various card names.
As a Magic player, I present to you: Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar. She is the author of the Underworld Cookbook. Both (herself and the book) are cards in Magic, the Gathering.
Rarran repping his timmies cup @ 7:03 :O
I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE EXCITIED FOR A 52 MINITE YT VIDEO IN MY LIFE
omg it’s igni
I love this crossover so much
Boohoomut!?
Boohoomut!
My god, my air, where
did you
go?
If "Marg, Belligerent Flame" is not an actual card in this game now, I am going to be so depressed
an almost hour long video from Rarran? this is going to be good
really like these peeks into different TCGs, any chance you would do one for TESL (The Elder Scrolls: Legends)?
Yooo just got into watching the guessing how good Runeterra cards videos. One day hoping you'd do a Shadowverse one. My prayers have been answered.
13:33 atelier sophie 2, oh no what Ignideus
'Are there any hero cards?' 'No' well the game has changed
I used to play Shadowverse years ago so I _thought_ I'd understand both games for once... but then he brought up the "evolve" stuff and I was immediately lost, lol; I'd _completely_ forgotten that mechanic
Really loving Ignideus ! Hope you bring him on again
Really enjoyed this! I'd like to see the host evaluate Satan or Cocytus!
Should do more with him or other Shadowverse creators. I remember playing it years ago since it was so similar to Hearthstone.
We definitely need more shadowverse content.
i would love more shadowverse content like this one
We need more of this content!!
