Porsche Key Remote Trim Upgrade & Install - 991 981 718 Boxster Cayman Carrera GT3

Curious how to take apart your Porsche key? It's pretty easy to do so, it can be done with a small Phillips screwdriver and some patience. If you're switching out your key trim, it's pretty simple. WARNING: Professional recommendation is required, if you break any key component, they're not replacable. So be careful! This video applies to Porsche Macan, Boxster (981 & 718), Cayman (987 & 718), 918 Spyder, Carrera (991), Panamera, and Cayenne models (958).

also don’t need to remove the screw and the rey ring catch. just get a small thin flathead and lightly pry the back off first

Where do you even buy the middle trim piece? I'm only finding the sides.

arya mon I did this with my key except I colour coded it to meteorite gray they legit snap off no screw driver necessary just slip ur nail and pull them off

would have probably been easier if you took out both side blades first

the middle trim doesn't come off as easily as shown in video ... be aware I broke mine , the point is inserted in a way difficult to but it back perfectly as factory.. I won't recommend change the middle trim.. sides are easy
