Nice easy quick video that prevented me from destructively trying to pull it apart. Didn't even need to remove the little screw that presents itself begging removal once the emergency key is removed. Thanks.
Great vid, thx Rob! 2 tips: 1) Positive should face top - match with + inside fob body (your OLD battery was upside down); 2) test key by pressing a button and looking for red LED flashes by Porsche logo.
You made the process simple. It was better than me attacking the fob with screw drivers and knife blades.

I used to have a Honda Civic. Great car. In fact, the only I ever had to fix was an empty key fob battery. But that required 2!! different screw drivers to get to😮. Porsches are easier to service then many would think 😅.
Thanks!! The fricken manual for car says to " use a suitable implement" to lever off the cover. So I almost broke the damn thing trying to follow their instructions.

At 0:35 you can see a + sign embossed in the plastic housing in the battery compartment, just past the end of the circuit board. I was placing the + of the battery towards the circuit board because of that indication figuring + goes down. In the end, that would not make sense as both contacts on the circuit board are seeing the same + side of the battery.
That does seem fairly odd to have the + side showing like you have pointed out in the compartment. Glad the video could help you get it sorted out.
