    Great video, as always! They have been a great help in learning about the aircraft in BoX.
    I did have to chuckle at the length of this video: 8:01...considering the powerplant of the FW is the BMW 801... ;-)

    Regarding the temperatures, is the only way to tell your cylinder heads are overheating the rpm needle swaying, or is there another function I'm not aware of?

      Just remember to pull the stick back to lock the tailwheel if you want to taxi straight or are on the takeoff roll

      @@RequiemsACTL okay i think I'm getting it, but it was a nightmare.
      Dealing with the tail wheel break, the left and right wheel brake and the torso of my joystick for the "tail horizontal flap" sorry if the words are not correct.
      BUT i have to say that I am very pleased to read your commentary nearly 2 days after I posted my question.

    I came here looking for how to use the cowl shutters, as the 190 doesn't have water temperature gauge

    • @czerwonybaron1558
      @czerwonybaron1558 4 роки тому +1

      Actually you don't need to open cowl shutters much in A-8. I am opening those to 0-5% and that's enough

    does the IFF work? i believe its supposed to blip when you're recognized by a friendly ground radar right?

    • @RequiemsACTL
      @RequiemsACTL  5 років тому +1

      No I don't think so. It could end up being a part of the new air marshal mode being developed but I'm not sure.

    • @RequiemsACTL
      @RequiemsACTL  3 роки тому

      It regulates the airflow to the engine to help control the cylinder head temperature

      @@RequiemsACTL Thank you very much! Am I suppose to keep it open during every moment in the air or just when the engine is overheating?

      @@RequiemsACTL It would be interesting to see a video about the differences between the A-8, F-8 and G-8, like weapons options and their tactical employment. I also believe the G-8 was equipped with a auto-pilot and other navigational aids (don't now if the simulation reflects this).

    putting the flap and gear indicators on the WING is an absolute 5head design decision. Because that's honestly where your gut is gonna tell you to look when you want to check those things, because that's where the flaps and gear ARE.

    "Learn to fly the Fw 190" Hahaha, do you really think to "fly" an FW 190 in a sim has anything to do with the real plan?

    • @RequiemsACTL
      @RequiemsACTL  11 місяців тому

      Nope. It's just an example of using the WWII manual for it and applying it to a simulated airplane. Outside of learning the cockpit layout and flying technique/procedures there is no comparison to flying a real airplane versus a game or simulator. Even the Level D simulators I train in are close, but they still are not comparable to the real thing. If you fly a Fw 190 or other warbirds in real life though people would love hearing about your experience if you want to share.
