Can this aircraft takeoff without the rocket assist pods or are they always on when loaded? Only the AR-234 in IL2: 1946 couldn’t seem to takeoff from any runway, they were all too short and that was without bombs and reduced fuel load.
I recently bought the Arado 234 and I've still been having trouble starting up the plane, I've followed what you've said but the engines just shut off, do you know what might be the cause?
You have to keep the igniters held down long enough, when we got the Me262 i kept making that mistake, every time i would throttle up to get the throttle past the cut off to get the engine started i would release my igniter and the engine would die, was really getting on my nerves,lol Once you get up to 2000 rpm on the inside scale and the engine fires and you move the throttle up past the cutoff dont release the igniter until the fuel cocks have move forward on their own, if you release the igniter before this happens the engine will die,I'm sure since you posted this comment you figured this out but this might help someone else in the future.
I love how it looks, but I hate how this cockpit feels in VR. My virtual head cannot move vertically up or down, it just slides along horizontally. I know it's supposed to be cramped, but it still doesn't behave correctly for me.
Took a long break from il-2 and very pleased with the new additions to the game. This one will be a lot of fun
Yeah the Arado is very cool to fly and bomb with. It's a pretty unique airplane within the set which is a nice change

In IL2 1946, this aircarft uses the peridcope for the rear facing cannons. Was that a different version of the blitz ?
I believe that was just a retrofit on existing aircraft

It can but you'll need a lighter payload and/or a longer runway

Volume is so faint. I had to triple my normal setting to hear you voice.
Yep -- 100% volume was NOT enough. Voice was VERY VERY low. Needs fixing.
