If you're on a budget, sharpies and alcohol on a brush do the same thing as that alcohol ink (and there's no chance of accidental spillage or splatters).

How do you clean your brushes after using them in gel polish?? I've tried using lint free wipes and alcohol, maybe the brand of polish I'm using is just bad??
I dip it in alcohol or gel cleanser then I wipe the brushes on a paper towel. You can also clean it using a clear gel so that it keeps your brushes nice and conditioned.
I'm wearing Marble nails now. The nail tech put drops of gel polish on tinfoil, swirled it 'round, then picked it up with a brush & placed it on my nail. It ended up mixing to purple because I chose pink & blue. I didn't want purple nails. Still pretty & he did a wonderful job, though I did intend on the colours mixing. I really didn't want purple nails.
You can also put polish in random places on the nail and use a nail stamper to blend it all together, good if you're not looking for something super detailed
