Yo! hope you all are doing well on this Sunday afternoon. I've explained the upload in the description if you have any questions about it. Hoping to be allowed to canoe camp soon!, until then, heres this :)
Hey Joe, or man-dog (man and the dog) as my 2 year old calls you, I’m from Lincolnshire in England and I just want to let you know that your videos are truly awesome and appreciated so much! After his bath and after his milk my little chap demands ‘man-dog’, he wants to watch you on your adventures, every night he’s with me. And every time he asks I’m more than happy to sit here watching your exploits, honestly I wouldn’t normally comment on videos, but I just feel like you’d like to know how much I appreciate your videos, it’s inspired me to make a shelter in my dads woods for my little boy, which I’ve inadvertently spent weeks on it so it’s more of a homestead than a survival shelter haha, but it’s inspired me to do that and my lad remembered us watching your videos together and requested to watch them everytime I’m settling him to sleep. You are truly an inspiration buddy, I hope you can see the good you’re doing and the happiness your videos bring to some people!!! I just wish I could somehow show Henry’s house I’ve been building in the woods, I think you’d be proud!! Big respect mate, I hope you see this 🤪
Joe, been watching you for a bit and that was by far the best..even more than the stranded series. I’m in awe. You might sum it up with “wet.” I’d sum it up with “grit.” You make me proud to be human. The only thing is I don’t want to encourage you to take too many risks. You’re too precious, kiddo.
lol i didnt realize it was a rerun.. was thinking niiiice Joes getting back to his roots. lol missed vids like this. thx for the reupload. *update* I wasn't trying to say that I don't like the changes Joe's gone thru in the last ten years..I'm still here. i only meant that the video had an old feel to it and I enjoyed it.
I to have been waiting to see something new and to see Joe "actually like what he's doing again" but I guess I was wrong. I guess us viewers are not important to him anymore or he just don't like what he's doing anymore and it clearly shows when he cuts us short with all talk 10 minute video's and the reruns. The lame excuse that he cant get his signal out or it takes to long to download and edit? "Its pretty funny because I watch others in Canada like "My self reliance, Doug linker, Steve Wallis and 10 others 2 in the same area as Joe " They are all way out in the sticks of Canada" and even through this virus lock-downs they have never stopped giving us new quality long videos every week some twice a week without excuses, so I am not buying the lame excuses Joe gives for not giving his viewers good long videos. Pretty soon I wont even bother to check back on this channel at all.
Watching Joe’s videos while going through a round of chemo, that followed two months of radiation, really helped me deal with the depression. His videos helped this GenXer deal with being crippled for life, due to a mini-stroke during the first surgery. I’ve enjoyed all of his videos and recognize the change in him as time has passed. Joe himself addressed this in a video not too long after Scout passed. I’m going to stay a loyal subscriber as long as he does them. Life is like the rise and fall of the tide.
@@Mooshkie50able no actually he found a way around the uploading issue.. the reason the new content is minimal is because there is no camping on Crownland yet..also there is a fire ban. Do you really believe he should break the law so that you get new content?
@@Mooshkie50able yeah.. how dare Joe spend more time with his family. How dare he take care of things at home. How selfish of him to not give is a video every week. Please understand my deepest sarcasm. I hope you were employing sarcasm as well.
I really like the honesty in these videos, you show the ups and downs, the highs and lows, the joy of silence and the loneliness of missing your family. I love the way you show your accidents and cuts and strengths and weaknesses. Thanks for not trying to be a super hero, just be who are you.
I'd like to thank you for these videos. I'm disabled in my right leg and on dialysis so you can guess I don't get out much anymore but I love these videos giving me a glimpse of the great outdoors still. Beautiful, thank you.
As a 60 year old who used to do this canoe/camping, I appreciate the memories you bring to me. As a side note, the early season/first trips need to be reasonable in scope and length. I've gotten into tight spots by trying too much, too soon physically after a winter of lesser activity. Cheers, Joe. Thanks again
Have watched a few of your videos now, and was just watching reruns of ALONE , never realized you were a contestant. Wonder if you’ll go back for a second attempt ?

This is such a good video, Joe, mostly because things didn't go smoothly and you got tested big time. Happy to see you rose to the challenge and powered through in Beast Mode to get back. You're the BEST!

She's a lucky kid and couldn't commend you more. Awesome Dad, awesome dude. I think I speak for the people when I say 3 fire starters are a great idea and you're a hell of an inspiration.
My sister encountered a black bear while running in the mountains near Albuquerque. They really startled each other and were no more than a few yards apart. The bear started to bounce up and down on its front paws while 'chuff chuffing' at her. She was sure it was going to charge. Thinking quickly, she ripped off a GIANT belch. The bear turned and ran away. I am not making this up. Be careful!!

You wore me out just watching. When you seen the bear it reminded me of my first bear. I was 6 and camping with my dad. We went on a little hike to pick some blue berries as we got about half way up the hill we where on I seen a black bear about 50 feet away coming down the hill. I heard it growl and I yelled for my dad and froze in my steps. This caused a reaction from the bear I wasn't expecting, he stood up on his rear legs and that caused me to scream as loud as I could for my dad. The bear then turn and ran back up the hill as fast as he could leaving me standing there. My dad showed up a few seconds later asking me what was wrong. When I told him he said I had instinctively done what I should have done. I've seen bears in the wild several times since then and greeted them with a hey bear and they always go another way. I figure they like the blue berries to.
This is honestly the first video I ever saw by you. I had found it back in December of 2018 when I had the flu. Every night when I'd go to bed I'd watch your videos and specifically this one just cause of how relaxing the scenery was. Thanks for helping me out during me having the flu haha

How in the world did I miss this video from 4 months ago? This video in one word for me would be fortitude. That said I get that you felt the one word was wet. Kudos to you Joe.
The magical day 3! You woke up relaxed. I always find it takes til day three to relax and let go of home/daily grind and switch into the new routine. Such bad luck there with your elbow. Gotta admit I held my breath watching those sketchy fast water sections! Thank you for sharing your adventure.
I think a trip like that is needed once and awhile to make you push your limits and the result is more confidence going forward. You're more prepared for what mother nature may throw at you after doing this trip. Sucks when you're in it, but you made on the fly decisions and made it home safely. Thanks for sharing the battle Joe!
I love these videos, but everytime I watch I keep thinking stuff like "There he is, pushing himself off from the shore and paddling into the lake.... and after the cut he has to turn back get back on land get the camera store the camera and THEN get on his way...." makes me appreciate the work so much more!
Hey Joe! Your videos have inspired recently and I've started going out fishing after seeing all the fun stuff you've done on your trips. I went out to a lake in Alberta and caught my first Walleye and first Pike, I was out there for about 5 hours but it just flew by. I might be addicted now. Anyways cheers!
Video your trips. would love to see new videos. I am getting sick of the reruns like this one Joe uploaded from 2017. Would love to see new stuff from people that love what they are doing.
I would suggest switching those neoprene gloves to a pair of sealskinz since the sealskinz breathe and the neo's dont. sweaty gloves make your hands cold etc..
Great vid Joe. I lost track for a couple of weeks due to scrambling preparing for this crazy virus thing (gardens, gardens, and gardens). I know it takes alot of work behind the scenes to record and edit while continually showing positiveness in jumping on such a trip. Enjoyed it Buddy, took me away from today's reality around here. Stay yourself and it will always be real..
I really enjoyed the family campout and canoeing. Reminded me of my childhood with my family. I bet your girls will grow up and always love the outdoors and they will always remember the family campouts. I love seeing Beauty in the videos also, what a great camping dog!! Your videos are interesting Joe as you mix things up.
Joe, just an honest comment by way of feedback. I'm probably in the minority, but I used to watch all your videos start to finish. However, since you started producing these marathon one and a half hour epics I've given up. Even in lockdown, watching one youtuber for that long is too much. You make great, informative, well edited and honest videos, but currently I'm not watching. I have lots of other things to do and watch and I can't devote so much time to your adventures, however interesting. Stay safe Joe.

..met a female Moose in a shallow stream, near Rangely/ Northwest Maine late summer, while sweeping, on canoe/kayak 4 day trip for a bird/butterfly/dragonfly/nature photography trip.. we did prefix on this early morning paddle that we might encounter large mammal wildlife and we should use caution while traveling through their environment!
..even with that prep for the 12 boat group.. during one hour into our 4 hour paddle a cow/moose split the group apart.. but the group was not scared, nore was the full grown moose! ..but I couldn't get the photo hungry group to focus on safety.. they were just letting the stream, pile everyone up into a large mass of connected paddlers..
Finally the leader came back to break us up quietly.. and not to crowd/ surround the 1&1/2 ton moose.. luckily the moose was not agitated.. so I think she was used to seeing paddlers on her estuary..
Cool trip!!
Joe👦🐕 makes great videos in beautiful nature⛺. He looks at your videos very well. They are reassuring, inspiring and informative.👍
I was sitting watching one of your other vids then this popped up
appreciate it!
Joe Robinet second time you liked and hearted my comment I was in the debris hut as John Rambo it’s probably H.R. now
Always love a Joe video. Even if I have seen it before.

Joe: singing song " I hope nobody's around".
Me: Excuse me, we are here..?
How in the world did I miss this video from 4 months ago? This video in one word for me would be fortitude. That said I get that you felt the one word was wet. Kudos to you Joe.
Dude I wana go camping so bad. When you talked about the baby otters I thought that sounds familiar lol!
It should sound familiar , the video is 3 years old! From 2017
IDK WHY BUT I FREAKING LOVE UR VIDS MAN THEY ARE CHILL AND ALWAYS GET THAT CAMPING VIBE. KEEP UP THE WORK MAN LOVE THIS
I was just working on one of my own youtube videos but my plans have just changed. Thank's Joe!
Hi from Texas! I like all your videos but I’ve missed these longer fishing / canoeing videos!! So glad your back doing these! Welcome back!
Beavers..Natures bush crafters. "Those darn bush crafters!"
The magical day 3! You woke up relaxed. I always find it takes til day three to relax and let go of home/daily grind and switch into the new routine. Such bad luck there with your elbow. Gotta admit I held my breath watching those sketchy fast water sections! Thank you for sharing your adventure.
Fantastic vid. I watched the whole thing and enjoyed every minute riding along with you. Thanks!!
Such a good vid!
Glad you are back within 5 days and safe. I am tired after watching this video. Thanks
Bravo Joe, very much enjoyed! Thank you thank you
I would suggest switching those neoprene gloves to a pair of sealskinz since the sealskinz breathe and the neo's dont. sweaty gloves make your hands cold etc..
Ive since switched to neo icebreakers and love them
What re the best type of paddling glove? For Canadian paddling
What was the “song” going through the log jam? That’s some hillbilly moonshine slap my knee kinda good music haha
Great achievement, enduring the weather, the pain and the physical strain. Kudos
Back when Joe still had that black eye.
Been missing your videos Joe, happy to rewatch this one!
What a fitting day for this lol it's been raining nonstop
These trips are my favorite videos. I love them so much
Let’s hear how the eye got blackened. Who did joe get mad?
Came here to ask this as well, lol. Wondering if he got into it with the neighbors again.
Same neighbor just an old video lol. He shortened up and old one and put it out, this is from 2017
Hmmmm is there a reason he's out for 5 days??? LOL
Roy Rodgers Ohhhhh wondering why it felt fimilar
Roy Rodgers so he explains it in his longer one?
I really enjoyed the family campout and canoeing. Reminded me of my childhood with my family. I bet your girls will grow up and always love the outdoors and they will always remember the family campouts. I love seeing Beauty in the videos also, what a great camping dog!! Your videos are interesting Joe as you mix things up.
i laughed my ass off when you said, "i had a glorious poop!" ha ha haaaaa
Great to see another Joe vid! Much love to the master bushcrafter!
Once again can't wait to watch
I thought it was deja vu lol, just a good thing you never had your dog with you on this trip. Be safe out there.
Good to have an old school Joe video back 😊
