    why arrest people using these terraces? the andes could become an agricultural giant if they used these old and yet very efficient technologies.

      Because its a historical site, and people would just ruin it eventually

      @@end.olives i understand the historical significance, but people need to eat. The indigenous people have a right to decide how their ancestral land should be used. historical sites aside this can lift many out of poverty, and serve as a guide on land development to other nations.

      @@joselopez-kx3sm the indigenous people on these sites problably make more money out of the turists that come there to see them than they would get out of food by cultivating in them

      @@end.olives maybe so but like most things not all the people benefit from tourism the same way. other get more and most get less. thats why you have people "descendants" of indigenous tribes grave rob their own cultural heritage for money. best to use what you got for the benefit of all instead of being so desperate as to rob your ancestors graves.
