Stallone getting suprised by Ali is worth more than any Oscar.
Very strong sentence. Really
Very true
Damn true😡
Because Oscar happen every year but this situation is once in a life time thing.
Yea.... 100% 😍😍💪💪
“I’m the Real Apollo Creed”-Muhammad Ali and Rest In Peace🙏
Also, Rubin Carter. Similar styles in the ring.
Hurricane
He is greater than Apollo Creed. It is his greatness he called himself Apollo Creed!
Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr was a funny dude
Actually rocky is based on chuck wepner the real rocky and mohamed ali the real Apollo Creed
Ali's unexpected entrance and Stallone's display of respect for him makes this definitely one of the Top 10 moments in Oscars history.

The moment
It wasn't unexpected. It was well rehearsed.
@@66Neo66Not the best lol never the best. The best moment of the Oscar is the SLAP.
“ You stole my script! I’m the real Apollo Creed! “
RIP Muhammad Ali ,
Such a talented and charisma filled man - so sad to see him digress over the years from Parkinson’s yet he held on for so long! Hell always be a legend and one of the greats forever !
fod loves ali because when god gives you some trouble, physical or mental..it means that he prepares you a better place in the after life ..ali is surely in heaven after all his suffering
i hear Mr T will be in creed 4
These two men popularized boxing more than any other humans if you think about it
Yeah you are 100% right
Tyson too
True that.

Stallone was like a child meeting his hero, how cool 😄
Sly handled this impromptu appearance very, very well- great job by both champs on live t.v.
Yeah
@MUFC That's all well and good, but Americans don't care about soccer. Ali was a legend, and Sylvester Stallone was and is one of America's most popular actors.
Carl is ali
Sly is wepner
@MUFC ....o..okay? that literally has nothing to do with the video, this is a oscar award video with sylvester stallone and muhumad ali, and your talking about football, im a football fan but i think you commented on the wrong video
RIP Beatrice Straight (August 2, 1914 - April 7, 2001), aged 86
And
RIP Muhammad Ali (January 17, 1942 - June 3, 2016), aged 74
You both will be remembered as legends.
RIP Carl Weathers aka Apollo Creed (14 January, 1948 - 1 February, 2024), aged 76
I think about Muhammad all the time
Ali is now a icon, the status of a person never forgotten
The golden age when things were so genuine
Lol you do know this whole scene was manufactured. Hollywood was/is always Hollywood.
Kya baat bol di goenka ji , is se baheter koi baat nahi hosakti .pahele dushmani mei bhi mohabbat hoti thhi ab mohabbat mei bhi doubt hai.
yet the respect between Ali and Stallone was genuine
Well that’s was a preparation for today!!!!
We were in saccharine dose, in those days so as to be prepared for what is today?
Yep no political crap.
He met Muhammad Ali, that alone is an award worth more than a single film winning every category.
Rest in peace, Champ!

When a boxing actor meets REALITY.
Ali, the Greatest.
This was a well-deserved Oscar. She showed absolutely incredible acting with only 5 minutes and 40 seconds of screen time and won an Oscar for it. The range she displayed was jaw-dropping. And it still holds the record for the shortest performance in history to win an Oscar. Congrats to Beatrice!
"A 100% certified legend", there's no better way to put it, that's what Ali is!
totaly agree!

"I'm the REAL Apollo Creed!" That just killed me! God bless him.
He actually is.
Bless muhhamed ali
That’s the thing. Ali IS Apollo Creed. The character was based on him. Rocky was based on Chuck Werner, Joe Frazier, Jake LaMotta and Rocky Marciano
Hey...Chuck Wepner could confirm if anybody doubted "The Greatest"
Yes, he is.
Beatrice Straight always had such an aura of elegance about her, wish we had seen her more in films. Beautiful speech.
Absolutely. Her mother was a Whitney, so she came from aristocratic stock. Her carriage oozed gentility; she couldn’t help it. What a fabulous actor she was as well.
A real life cousin of Beatrice Straight I read somewhere was Gloria Vanderbilt, who just passed away only around 3 years ago at the age of 95.
@@michaelverbakel7632 I never knew that, but it makes sense, since the Vanderbilts and Whitneys intermarried.

One of the best things about Ali, he steals the show no matter what it's about, where it is in the world and how big or important people around him are. That's greatness to say the least
Muhammad Ali and rocky balboa.....two unforgettable legends.
When movie was movie and oscar was oscar and hero was hero.
Yes, indeed!!
No overhyped feminism
And men were men and women were women
ASAP.69 Yeahhhhh just replace that with racism against african americans and having the heavyweight champ get arrested for not going into combat. But the world is more fucked now right? What an amazing moment. Don’t think this will be ever bettered at any awards ceremony. Ali crashing Stallone’s speech in the wake of Rocky. Legends left right and centre. The film too.

She won with such little screen time. Amazing
How could anyone not love this guy..
He really was the Greatest..
Her performance in ''Network'' is indeed memorable and iconic even being short as it is. Loved Beatrice Straight in the movie. Well Deserved Award! And she looks beautiful accepting her Oscar with that blue dress!
Anyone who saw her performance in Network knows she deserved it. In five minutes and two seconds, she brought everything to the table.
Time when things were real, simple and done with heart. I love that era, I wish I could live in that time❤

This is a class class act by stallone, acknowledging a living greatness by telling it to him. This man, Ali was and still is really greater then life itself. He is everything we want to be and he is everything every man should be.
Even tho bruce lee had passed away 4 years before this.. u can see his fighting style being used by Muhammad ali.. one where you use rear hand for defense in strikes.. amazing to see that Muhammad really did train with bruce lee

Great Beatrice Straight!
Absolutely brilliant. This screenplay, these words. This scene is a masterpiece. Beatrice is extraordinary here, she made a lifetime scene, full of complexities, in 5 minutes. One of greatest breakdown scenes in film history. Brilliant actress, Holden is also excellent. Deserved Oscar.
Straights performance in Network is the best piece of acting I've ever seen along with Sidney Portier confronting his father in Guess Who's Coming to Dinner.
I don’t know about anyone else but I love that walk Sylvester Stallone does walking away from Ali
