So many memories as a heartbroken teenager suffering deep pain, I feel so connected with my past with this band, as I can feel the senses of that times when we were young... love for all people, you are not alone🤍

I had this album on cassette tape, one of the 4-5 albums I could afford, and would listen to them in a loop, this one particularly. I would bring the cassete player into my room , put headphones in and listen till I fell asleep. This song was always my favorite from BMM. My room was covered in posters of bands I grew up with and loved, Placebo being one of them. It was 2004 and I was 16 in Bucharest, Romania. Haven't listened to Placebo on the regular since about 2006. Rediscovering them now fills me with nostalgia and sorrow for my wasted youth. I still know all the lyrics, and remember every beat.
This autumn is when I discovered Placebo. Leaves are falling, melancholy is in the air and I'm sitting in my room listeting through song by song. Masterpiece by masterpiece.
It's unmistakably him. That's why Placebo are so amazing. You could take the singing out and you'd still know it's Placebo. They have their own sound... and it sounds amazing.
He is right. Not everyone is an artist just because he picks up an instrument and starts scratching/hitting/blowing it. There are many bands out there whose only purpose is fame and money, that doesn't mean they are artists, they are just money-grabbers. Placebo in particular are magnificent in everything they've done so far, although I myself don't like their whole discography. That's the meaning of excellence.
My favourite Placebo - the quiet restraint and the aggression so perfectly weave together to produce 5.24 minutes of bliss. My chosen substance of release.

Brilliant (mine opinion) how he described the main narcissist (NPD) manipulation technique in just one sentence. "It's in your reach, concentrate if deny this, then it's your fault". The problem is that, "it" will be never in your reach. No matter how hard you'll try. Narcissist must be always right, and you always wrong. Passive aggressive means he is using you, and your flaws as your aggressor without being aggressive directly (to be blamed as such). You want to be better, you want to not hurt, you want to be good.. but it will never be in you reach if let judged by narcissists. It's like to follow your own tail. It will never be in your reach... If you rise she/he will fall and vice versa. Never to be game of both rising always like a ping-pong game between two people.
"If you deny this then it's your fault that God's in crisis" You ignored the last line and made this whole paragraph about some mind games that you project from your head.

I remember discovering this song in the early 2000s in high school.
underrated album...masterpiece y'all..might just be their best..
And for some reason, Placebo thinks it is the worst
@@archi4226 Maybe from the song writing freedom perspective, it is really restrictive and thematic. There were more free albums, but none of them was as free as the first album logically. Nevertheless the soundengineering in this one is amazing, no way to top by probably anyone. I am maybe biased but this is sound is huge, analog and real. The guitar sound triple better than Sonic Youth.
My favorite album for years. Still listen few times at month.
amazing drums on this song, underrated
I love you Placebo
Such pure beauty this song.
Marzo 2001.
👍
Discovered this band as a Bowie related music "without you im nothing", and im glad i did
Dear Brian, I might be mistaken, you probably are not perfect. But. This is the anthem of my life.
"I had "The Red & The Black", I tried to put white in it..."
I love this song forever
Montse Galicia Something so painful yet beautiful always stays with us, Placebo have left me in tears more than once...but it's ok...I forgive them and I love them for it.
Sin duda un temaso que marco en mi vida. Placebo sin duda la banda de mis inicios
It's the sound of raindrops filled with pain and anguish but somehow I've always wanted to get wet.
Dans la totalité d'un album rien de plus précieux que ce black market music.
this song running through my veins
*I somehow missed out on this band back then but since I’ve discovered them, I am binge listening.*
Spent so much of lockdown discovering there was so much more to Placebo than just "every me and every you"...this song is simply haunting.
Yes, and I missed Trance, Acid, Slipknot and several other bands to check out more seriously then. Got fancy to Nirvana in my 20s because in teenage years it was just, Nope, don't wanna run with the current now. Nothing to blame. However Nirvana not that sustainable like this stuff imho.
2019?
The best band !
