I love that you have the confidence to talk about when a photo shoot doesn’t go 100% perfect. This YT channel is a breath of fresh air, and the lessons you’re teaching come from experience. This is priceless!
Such a fabulous actress, and what a wonderful story, thank you Harry! Quite apart from the gems you share, I particularly love your pace of delivery. I now have even more of an eagle eye out for hazards, having worked with a disabled lady who, on her way into the room her company had rented for us to work in, tripped over a slightly uneven area of what looked like a flat floor. She grabbed for a table, the top of which turned out not to be fixed to its legs, and broke her arm very horribly, so much so that it took the ambulance crew 20 mins to get her off the floor. Thankfully it had nothing to do with what I was doing there at the time, but boy did it open my eyes to the cataloque of horrors that can evolve surprisingly easily. She, I have to say, was wonderful about it all though, and we're still in touch.
Hi Harry. As I catch up with your videos I see you are showing contact sheets which I adore. The last picture, with her blue jacket against the grey of the concrete, as she looks at her hand is sublime. "tape those cables down coz the yanks will spot them from a mile away" was the mantra when I was an assistant on location :-) at least the bulb didn't blow out in her face. Have a good week.
Another great video! I’ve watched every one you’ve published so far. Do you take requests? As a huge PJ Harvey fan I’d love to hear you talk about that shoot… the photos from it were fantastic!
Sophie is a charismatic actor with an amazing voice. I was also going to say that I liked clunky gear but after hearing about that incident, I had second thoughts. Great looking photos as always.
Harry - all these are great but how about taking us on some of your latest shoots. You show us all this historical stuff, but we'd like to come along with you whilst you are actually doing some contemporary shoots, or have you retired from photography now?
@@fredandharryborden Yes I saw the Clarkson one. You guys are great - cant wait for some more. If you could give more insights into how you pose and direct people, would be great.
Now that Harry is at the pinnacle of his profession, in a photoshoot, is he still laser focused on achieving his aims above establishing a rapport with his subject ? According to her Wikipedia page, she is married to a builder. That's how down to Earth she is.
From assisting him I would say maybe he is more focused on his pictures now then earlier in his career. But I would have to ask @HarryBorden! Thanks for the comment, and definitely - She seems very down to Earth.

Thank you for the kind comment! Its important, not all shoots go smoothly haha
She is someone who I ALWAYS think is great whenever I see her in any role. She’s a class act.

What a great series, Harry's a natural born story teller.
Glad you enjoy it! Appreciate the comment 😁
Another banger of a video - thanks Harry & Fred!

Ill make sure to include more contact sheets! Thanks again for the comments :)
I know nothing about photography or really have a huge interest ( being honest!) I just love your stories, so interesting and well told.

We actually have the PJ Harvey video recorded. Planning to release it around the end of this month!
Thanks a lot for the support and comments too!
@@fredandharryborden thanks for the response. Can’t wait! 🫶
I love to listen to your stories! These videos are very special and unique here on UA-cam!
Always tape your leads, health and safety.
@@ivanconnolly7332 lesson learnt from this one for sure!

Thanks for the comments, as always they are much appreciated!
Great story, thank you👌
Thanks for the comment! Appreciate the support :D
Another fascinating video - you must have nerves of steel.
I like how you mentioned you had only been a photographer for ‘10 years’. I’ve met people who think they know it all after five years !
Very true. Same for any field of work too!
Thanks for the comment.
She’s fantastic! Most recently saw her in Janet Planet.
OMG! I used to have these exact lights here in Canada! 4 of them! Made in Italy I believe. They get VERY HOT 🔥 I used them more for shooting video.
Be careful if you are still using them! haha. Thanks for the comment!

Nope haven't retired. Check out zara McDermott video or Clarkson! We also have a few shoots in the next few weekd we will record for the channel!

Very inspiring ⭐️
I'll tell Graham Wainwright that you don't like his Photon Beard redheads.
Slow Horses…she’s going strong
Loved that show!
I'm not sure what the purpose of this Video really is? I think there is more to it than what you are saying in the video...
What do you mean?
@@fredandharryborden Which part of my Reply is hard for you to understand?
@@dizzybuizzy9347 what are you eluding to when you say there is more to it then what we are saying?
@@fredandharryborden I'm not sure what the Message is making a recent video about a Shoot that went Horribly Wrong way back in the 90's?
@@dizzybuizzy9347 I just ask my dad what it's like photographing people because I find it interesting. It ain't that deep 😁
