+Timon Wood In the case that your comment isn't flying over my head as I make this comment, not really, you can't kill that many characters in Fallout 4. :\
+ayy lmao actually you can i litterly murdered the whole institute, bos, railroad, gooneighbor and diamond city all in all there where like what? 5 unkilleble people which basically are faction companion's you get at those locations compared to new vegas there allot more killable characters then in previous fallout's although not as much as in fallout 2 where you could litterly fck your main quest up lol
+Evil Gamer they don't respawn i believe even the guards will eventually be gone there is like 1 dude that i could not kill in there probebly part of a quest though :P
Technically, the main protagonist needs to join the institute if they want to live long. Cancers are usually genetically heretic, which means that you will most likely get the same type of cancer Shaun did. The institute is the only place in the commonwealth that have the gears to detect and treat your hidden cancer early on; treating cancer is all about early detection; the earlier you detect your cancer, the more likely you can treat it. You're, ironically, younger than your son, which means that you probably only have very early stages of cancer (or will have it in the future), and can be treated, rather than dying like your son did.
There is the possibility that Shaun could have gotten his cancer from the other parent (father, in this case). Also, even though Shaun only leaves the Institute once in his entire life, let's not forget that he, like his parents, was above ground when a bomb went off extremely close to them (which actually should have killed everyone who was being lowered into the Vault, but we'll gloss over that). That brief exposure could have been enough in his undeveloped body to trigger a mutation that could grow into cancer, which could also explain the aggression of the cancer.
+Nolan Riley wrong they know how to kill some cancer cells but the cells over power the medicine all we need to do is make it stronger but cancer is evolving so it's harder if we had this shit in the seventhys cancer would be like the flu.
+WarmSoftKitty first of all we have stop many wars in Arabic country's second chances are they made the cure but who ever had it made or the government knew that they would make less money cursing Rather then treating it for years
Why the fuck is deacon so bad ass in this game, he was sat there while it took like 6 rounds of the mini gun laser to kill him, while everyone else died instantly
1. Deacons bald head reflects the damn gunshots 2.why did they relay her out of the institute if they wanna kill her anyway? 3.you play a shooter game with a controller on a pc? (Because lvl 1000)
+JearBear So did I, thing is though I made two separate saves at the point in the game where you have to choose the Railroad, BOS or Institute. Completed all and got all trophies with reloading said saves. Now, I'm back where I have to choose again and I am trying to get as many companion perks and xp from inconsequential quests etc. before I make my decision for good.
+Thadius Meyers They murdered a whole settlement just because they wanted more efficient power, they kill cats because "it's for the greater good", and they kidnap synths that just want a life away from the institute and to justify that they say "they're only machines". That's how they're bad
But my point is, with the world as it is (raiders, mutants, famine, etc.) the world does not need another issue. I guess I'm a cold piece of shit, but in that world there is only one thing you can do and that is preserve humanity. The means justify the outcome. The institute has technology that can change the world such as the farming technology that allows plants to grow in even the harshest of land. I'm sorry, but a synth is still a machine. It was never free if it could be shut down with a few words. The Railroad didn't care about humanity, only the synths. The BoS were selfish, hoarding technology and leaving everyone else in ruin. The Institute, although they have these synth slaves and although they harm a few, their intention is to preserve humanity as a whole. If causing a few casualties means bringing the humanity back to its height, I support it.
I like how you blow your own son's brains out and then the next scene is the obviously distraught character talking about losing him. I still enjoy FO4, but I feel like I'm playing Bethesda's character, not my own. You'd think a company that's been making RPGs for this long wouldn't screw up the roleplaying aspect of a game.
2:03 Deacon STILL STANDING! STILL STANDING! STILL STANDING! STILL STANDING! STILL STANDING! STILL STANDING! *_Uses a V.A.T.S shot_* STILL STANDING! STILL- *DIES*
But now I know.... I know I can’t replay. I know the game won’t change .the road ahead will be linear . Next time I won’t be ready. Because I know endings. Endings never change.
Mr Sniffles Well, it IS evil because those racist bastards from BoS are still alive and Preston continues to mark settlements on your map. I know I'm late xD
Okay, xenophobic is the correct term. Super mutants are practically all bad so I get that, and feral ghouls are obviously far from human, or far from being a "person". But you can't say ghouls and synths aren't people. Even if synths aren't humans they very clearly act as such
I love how there are all these people complaining that there's no slideshow ending that details how things went after the game ends. We can play after the ending, we can literally play through the epilogue. I chose the institute on my first playthrough and once I became the leader there were quests I had to do after the ending, like two scientists who disagreed with Shaun making me the leader locking down the biolab. We get to see how our actions affect the world in real time. There's no need for any twenty-minute slideshow of 'and Piper and the Sole Survivor had sex on top of Strong in the middle of Swan's Pond and then they lived happily ever after with their mutant babies."
+starwarsjoshsmith except there are no changes on the overworld after the main quest lol. That biolab quest you're talking about happened to me before Shaun even died on my save. After that there are no changes.
+TheKanonHara "there are no changes on the overworld after the main quest" Side with the Insitute: The Prydwen crashes into the Boston airport. Side with anyone else: CIT becomes a radioactive crater. Not big changes none-the-less, but those are still changes to the overworld, not including changes to the overworld made in side quests like the USS Constitution. After the main quest NPCs will also make comments based on what you've done that have implications on how it will affect the long term.
Okey, look at this video, at 1:33, you'll see portable computers like pip boy already existed actually before the war: ua-cam.com/video/jzlqP1JfP1U/v-deo.html
I always cry when shaun is in the cot (before the bomb) then hes gone and you realize he is dead... he never got to live a happy life with his parents. The parents never got to hear his first word, witness his first steps, got to see his first tooth growing. Its really sad. I know its a game but i always think of the saddest things. I always call him my baby because hes like that on the game, I miss you shaun. 😭😭😭😭❤❤❤
+Cody Ouellette fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Level Yes there is. The 'soft' cap is around 275, where you've put every skill to max. The 'hard' cap is 65,535, which is the highest limit coded into the game that you can reach.
Shit ending, all of them are shit! Why couldn't it be like NV where it showed and explained your actions during the main quest, side quests and companions futures after reaching high affinity? They could've also done it the way Skyrim did with it's quests. Also, I miss the epic Ron Pearlman narrations!
I remember Todd Howard saying that there could be stealth playthroughs or a playthrough where you don't have to kill anyone. The ending is just mass genocide, no peaceful resolutions. Fallout 4 was terrible. NV is still better in every way. Casual 4 was dumbed down and is a disgrace to the Fallout franchise.
Just how spoiled are some of you? Maybe you have played too many of these games. For me, having multiple, different (yes, different, if you bothered to check it out) endings, each with its own moral complexity, makes it a great, ambitious game. Having it open ended is also great. The "end" cutscene is only that if you let it be. There is so much to explore in that world that I am still kicking around back alleys and out of the way places. This game has a lot more complexity than bang bang bang. But I love this "evil" ending!
If I became Director but now decided to help the BoS, can I still do that? I think last time I checked on my game there was something about visiting an area (Mass fusion or power relay?) or informing the BoS first. I won't be on in a couple more days and I am worrying I am stuck with the Institute forever. Any info?
who are you talking to? if to me i want to say that fallout 4 is total crap, New Vegas is better in most things: 1. dialogues - i believe that it doesn t need a commentary. 2. endings - in FNV and F3 when you finish the game you get an information about everything what you ve done through all the game, in F4 you get nothing but some short movie about war etc etc. 3. preston garvey and other people that still give you endless missions like another settlement needs help etc 4. weapon and armor modifications are also very bad - it look like you can do a lot of stuff but anyway it ends that you take the best and do not care about other. 5. building settlements - wtf is that? boring as hell 6. lack of side quests 7. small map 8. lack of enemies
when i first heard the protag say "war, war never changes" in the ending cutscene it sent chills down my entire body and I lost my shit. I don't even know why
It's weird that the Institute can cure supermutants but not cancer
they probably could have if it was realistic. But I think Bethesda wanted an experience that connected to the player a little more bc everyone has had some experience with cancer.
Orrrrrrrr they just had another oversight, among the thousands of other ones they have in this game's plot.
+Smurfferdid the supermutants were an engineered virus, so with reverse engineering, the virus could be cured. This is shown in the scientists lab in the institute in the abandoned section. +George Emdin I hope your joking when you made that comment...
M1DN1GHT SN1PER yes dood i am the jokester xDDDddd
(but srsly though, yeah i was)
You're grammar is badder!
I'll forgive the good ol' fashioned plain speak
Technically, the main protagonist needs to join the institute if they want to live long. Cancers are usually genetically heretic, which means that you will most likely get the same type of cancer Shaun did. The institute is the only place in the commonwealth that have the gears to detect and treat your hidden cancer early on; treating cancer is all about early detection; the earlier you detect your cancer, the more likely you can treat it. You're, ironically, younger than your son, which means that you probably only have very early stages of cancer (or will have it in the future), and can be treated, rather than dying like your son did.
+supleted genetics can skip a generation dude
+Brett Rollberg just because they can doesn't mean they wont
Let's not forget he's been living in the nuclear apocolypse a loooott longer than the protagonist.
+Channel for comments Didn't he say that when you meat him on CIT's rooftop was the first time he's left the Institute bunker?
There is the possibility that Shaun could have gotten his cancer from the other parent (father, in this case). Also, even though Shaun only leaves the Institute once in his entire life, let's not forget that he, like his parents, was above ground when a bomb went off extremely close to them (which actually should have killed everyone who was being lowered into the Vault, but we'll gloss over that). That brief exposure could have been enough in his undeveloped body to trigger a mutation that could grow into cancer, which could also explain the aggression of the cancer.
OMG Father's beard looks so blue and fluffy! XD
I laughed a little too hard at that.
Admiral Salen Kotch Well now it's red because he's ded
What kind of drug are you on?
Shaun: "They kidnapped me for my pure DNA" Also Shaun: "I have a genetic disease killing me"
WAIT YOUR TELLING ME AFTER ALL THIS TIME THEY CANT CURE CANCER XD
WarmSoftKitty well people will still work hard thats why people are awsome curing the impossible or trying.
+Nolan Riley wrong they know how to kill some cancer cells but the cells over power the medicine all we need to do is make it stronger but cancer is evolving so it's harder if we had this shit in the seventhys cancer would be like the flu.
Dezerket S D: but ill never belive they cant do it everything is possible.
+WarmSoftKitty first of all we have stop many wars in Arabic country's second chances are they made the cure but who ever had it made or the government knew that they would make less money cursing Rather then treating it for years
+WarmSoftKitty anything is possible with chuck Norris
too bad you can't make a army of synths to compete with new Vegas army of mr. house bots
I love mr. house. I always pick his ending. he is the boss.
+Charlie Clark joined him and killed him before the battle for hoover dam
+Thomas Kim Institute's battle against the Brotherhood does get pretty close on having a synth horde.
One synth could beat those God awful excuses for robots.
+Charlie Clark I like the legion. WHere is it's appearance in Fallout 4?
the second Shaun said he's the leader his head was gone
Am I the only one who's pissed Ron Perlman did say that war never changes like in pervious fallout games?
yes because we don't need him
Nope. I'm pretty pissed as well cause I love that guy...
Why the fuck is deacon so bad ass in this game, he was sat there while it took like 6 rounds of the mini gun laser to kill him, while everyone else died instantly
6? it took like fucking 14
X6-86 doesn't admire anymore your combat style.
DAMN... Deacon's Baled head reflected all those Gatling Laser beams 😂😂😂
1. Deacons bald head reflects the damn gunshots
2.why did they relay her out of the institute if they wanna kill her anyway?
3.you play a shooter game with a controller on a pc? (Because lvl 1000)
As for #2, it’s the emergency relay and you activate it manually. It’s not controlled by a computer
Ive completed all four endings. I have no life.. Lol
+JearBear Haha lol I'm unique and rANd0m xDDDDDD no social life meme :)))
+JearBear u r so unique
+JearBear
were there any legit differences between the endings, or just words swapped?
+JearBear What in a game that has a main story line roughly 5 total hours in length? You must be so hardcore.
I chose the Institute my first time through. I don't see how they are the bad guys tbh.
casue war never changes.
+Thadius Meyers They murdered a whole settlement just because they wanted more efficient power, they kill cats because "it's for the greater good", and they kidnap synths that just want a life away from the institute and to justify that they say "they're only machines". That's how they're bad
+Reague of Regends Just did the Liam mission, he just helped synths who wanted to escape. He didn't make them want to escape.
+Thadius Meyers Just so humanity can launch nukes again in a later Fallout, neat.
AliZebu1 use the Start Me Up mod, you can create your own characters background and no more Shawn talk if you choose to.
2:17. It looks really badass when the lasers clear and you can see Deacon with his shades on not giving a shit.
then he gets wasted and blows up into a bunch of caps 🤣
Hmmm -- that looks like the usual institute ending to me...
"You've reached level 1009"
Anyone else see that? Lol
Mods
tom kin
Maybe, You might not know.
@@Marvin_Aethos it's not a mod, you can reach level 65,535. Then the game will crash if you try to exceed that level due to a hard limit programming.
"I've lost Shaun all over again."
Damn right you shot him in the face. 😂
2:03
Deacon
STILL STANDING!
STILL STANDING!
STILL STANDING!
STILL STANDING!
STILL STANDING!
STILL STANDING!
*_Uses a V.A.T.S shot_*
STILL STANDING!
STILL- *DIES*
*shoots shaun in the head* "i've lost shaun again 😪🤧"
We still need to find Milk of human kindness...
But now I know.... I know I can’t replay. I know the game won’t change .the road ahead will be linear . Next time I won’t be ready. Because I know endings. Endings never change.
Only a true member of the Brotherhood of Steel could pull that off.... on a budget.
i'm scared when it said "You've reached rank 1009"
nevermind, there are cheats
the Lazer reflect of deacons shiny head lol that's why it took forever for him to die
So the institute and the railroad die... I'm confused I thought this was supposed to be evil.
Mr Sniffles Well, it IS evil because those racist bastards from BoS are still alive and Preston continues to mark settlements on your map.
I know I'm late xD
Mike is on fire OOOO LA LA, somebody's getting laid in college.
Gregory Smith so racist?
Okay, xenophobic is the correct term. Super mutants are practically all bad so I get that, and feral ghouls are obviously far from human, or far from being a "person". But you can't say ghouls and synths aren't people. Even if synths aren't humans they very clearly act as such
Josh Rusu EKK BARBA DURKLE somebody’s getting laid in college
I never could kill Shaun so went with supporting The Institute. Had to take out the Railroad. Even though they look like decent folk.
Well, Shaun is master of slaves. I don't like him for it.
+Danate M. Cryses Yes but you take over as Director and can change things
+JauntyMellifluous yeah but you can't do much as the director. I chose the brotherhood and they have me a shit ton of stuff
That's exactly how I felt. They were misguided, but I could change that haha
me too
why cant they upload his brain to a synth >
Valid point
+winsbo1 they might not have the gear for that
+winsbo1 because you can drive one of those giant fallout cars through the plot holes in this game
+winsbo1 Because he wanted to let go of everything. He could of been treated and said he didn't want to be. He was done and it was time to die.
+winsbo1 Father didn't want to be in a synth body
dat momment when you meet your son and he has... blue hair
Deacon is barely getting off his chair and your giving him instantaneous epilepsy
That is such a badass ending though. Just the Sole Survivor and Dogmeat, heading down the road into the unknown, ever together...
+starwarsjoshsmith
Now that's what i call "Milk of human kindness"
Dana Gomez
Find milk, learn human secret!
+starwarsjoshsmith except there are no changes on the overworld after the main quest lol.
That biolab quest you're talking about happened to me before Shaun even died on my save. After that there are no changes.
+TheKanonHara "there are no changes on the overworld after the main quest"
Side with the Insitute: The Prydwen crashes into the Boston airport.
+starwarsjoshsmith
Minutemen also takes out the blimp.
I just call it the blimp.
killing your own son that's a little harsh even for a game about nuclear war
lol the institute uses teleportation and can't find a cure forr cancer? REALLY?!?
The ending when Nora says *war, war never changes* is such a good thing to quote
wait is that a fukn pip-boy on her arm at 4:31 in a pre-war scene
That's the memory playing through her mind as she walks through sanctuary
good catch!
A Person on UA-cam yup
She said I can’t go back she fuckin did how she had no pip-boy
Okey, look at this video, at 1:33, you'll see portable computers like pip boy already existed actually before the war: ua-cam.com/video/jzlqP1JfP1U/v-deo.html
So you're telling me that they couldn't cure Pink Guy who has cancer ? "Ey bos! I habe a cancer!"
***** I'm not a weeabo. I just like this person and I'm not even wearing japanese clothes
***** No, Im not!
And also, I don't love (extremly into it) japanese culture.
***** You know what, I'll change my name just for your pleasure, sire!
***** Happy now?
I always cry when shaun is in the cot (before the bomb) then hes gone and you realize he is dead... he never got to live a happy life with his parents. The parents never got to hear his first word, witness his first steps, got to see his first tooth growing. Its really sad. I know its a game but i always think of the saddest things. I always call him my baby because hes like that on the game, I miss you shaun. 😭😭😭😭❤❤❤
"Betray everyone"
Not a single clip with BoS.
Truly thorough.
lol, that moment when you're bad at fallout so you console command to level 1009.
Wow! Did I really see level 1009?! Is this legit or some PC master race modding magic?!
+Rasha M It's not PC modding magic, its PC command interface magic. In-built commands in the base game accessed by a simple ~ press.
+Rasha M the hard cap is 65,535. No, i am not making that up.
+staffsargemobuto there is no cap in this game.
+Cody Ouellette fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Level
Yes there is. The 'soft' cap is around 275, where you've put every skill to max. The 'hard' cap is 65,535, which is the highest limit coded into the game that you can reach.
+staffsargemobuto Is it me or do I sense more skills being added in DLC?
Every Faction: Whose side are you on?!
Sole Survivor: Mine.
Deacon's bald reflects light so efficiently that laser weapons are ineffective against it.
why u kill shaun
maybe you should of took deacon's armor off first
You'll regret not doing that Jackpot mission my friend.
"Y-you're dying?"
"No, i am Father"
Hail SITHIS!!!
lmao this makes me smile
Technically, we don't know for sure father is Shaun...
I miss deacon, after the bos ending
ThrundaWolf I go with BoS ending, Deacon is chilling in Sanctuary Hills...
The Order 66 music was playing in my head the entire time
because I know war......
war never changes.
that's the best statement of war that will always remain in my head
Not a chance...
Chris Hardin in a word, no. No rpg elements. No skill
I dont know why i loled so much at deacon face tanking a freaking laser gat to his literal face XD
Haven't beat the game yet but can't stop watching...
These fucking comments Lmao
Just how spoiled are some of you? Maybe you have played too many of these games. For me, having multiple, different (yes, different, if you bothered to check it out) endings, each with its own moral complexity, makes it a great, ambitious game. Having it open ended is also great. The "end" cutscene is only that if you let it be. There is so much to explore in that world that I am still kicking around back alleys and out of the way places. This game has a lot more complexity than bang bang bang. But I love this "evil" ending!
LOL! Shaun was laying there, dying peacefully until you blew his head off XD
If I became Director but now decided to help the BoS, can I still do that? I think last time I checked on my game there was something about visiting an area (Mass fusion or power relay?) or informing the BoS first. I won't be on in a couple more days and I am worrying I am stuck with the Institute forever. Any info?
wow that was so funny... NOT
what I found it funny
+Super Klaus
No, it was funny, you just have a bad taste in humor. Sorry. :\
***** y u do dis ;-;
Jr B For truth, liberty, and cause being a huge dick to people is really fun.
+Super Klaus Does the title say this is funny? Smartass?
Sorry but Witcher 3 has better endings
+PineappleZedKid Bit immature to tell someone to kill themselves, isn't it?
+jakub krejci Witcher 3 has shit everything else though.
+Blocky Orbits The numbers are against you. ;)
jakub krejci Those numbers are made up entirely by Witcher fanboys and people with poor taste in games.
+jakub krejci I'm pretty sure there's more people who hate witcher fanboys than witcher fanboys.
"The question is, what are you going to do about it?"
Scene cuts to a massacre
Looks like Deacons bald head did a great job countering that Gatling Laser
is there anyone still playing that game ?? the worst fallout :/ New Vegas is much better, i ve just bought dlc to that
Most people still play. Infinitely better than FO3
Gun play and graphics are better but everything else goes to new Vegas I haven't personally played it but it looks better quest wise
The best is Fallout 1
who are you talking to? if to me i want to say that fallout 4 is total crap, New Vegas is better in most things: 1. dialogues - i believe that it doesn t need a commentary. 2. endings - in FNV and F3 when you finish the game you get an information about everything what you ve done through all the game, in F4 you get nothing but some short movie about war etc etc. 3. preston garvey and other people that still give you endless missions like another settlement needs help etc 4. weapon and armor modifications are also very bad - it look like you can do a lot of stuff but anyway it ends that you take the best and do not care about other. 5. building settlements - wtf is that? boring as hell 6. lack of side quests 7. small map 8. lack of enemies
+Caesar Games small map?! Really dude?
Best Fallout 4 video ever.
281 years later we still have no cure to cancer
when i first heard the protag say "war, war never changes" in the ending cutscene it sent chills down my entire body and I lost my shit. I don't even know why
