British Columbia '21

Genevieve and I had the opportunity to travel to British Columbia in August of 2021 to spend some time together before starting school and work for the year.
Our itinerary was basically 5 days on the mainland followed by 5 days on Vancouver island.
For our first 5 days we started off in Vancouver, drove past Squamish to stay in Pemberton, where we hiked Joffrey Lake, enjoyed the Pemberton Sunflower Maze, and had a great stay in a local B+B. From there we had a night camping by Mt Garibaldi, and took a cold swim in the lake before hiking out and catching the ferry to the island.
Our island schedule involved visiting some friends in Comox, where we enjoyed great kayaking and a rapid tube ride down a local river. We drove out to Tofino from there, tried our hand at some surfing and strolled around Ucluelet, and then ended our trip in Victoria where we took a stroll through the Butchart gardens.
Overall a great trip and we look forward to the next time we can go back!!
