Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge: Black Screen / Blank Display / Screen Wont Come On- 15 Second Fix!!!

- If your Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge is experiencing a black screen issue, basically your display is blank or wont turn on then try this easy method. You may still see LED lights, or even hear your phone ring or vibrate.
This will work for most of you and please take note that if it does work it does not mean you need to return or exchange your S7. This black screen happens to all smartphones from Sony, LG, Samsung, HTC, even the iPHones. In order to correct this you just need to press a certain key combination. You may exchange your S7 for a new one if this works but there is a 50/50 chance that this may happen again. It may be the following day, month, year, two, three or even four years later but still a good chance this may occur again. And if it does just remember press and hold both the volume down button and home button simultaneously until your S7 logo appears. Thank for watching and please sub for more helpful videos.

Nothing is working! Help! I tried holding down volume down + power, nothing, volume up+ power, nothing, volume up + power + bottom button, nothing, volume down + Power + bottom button, nothing. The green light is still on. It briefly came on with a blue screen with a notice, but it quickly went away and couldn't read it! HELP!!!!

LTDR: at 1:40 he just tells you to restart your phone by holding the volume down button and the power button. This just restarts the phone. Helps if your phone locks up but doesnt do anything if its from dropping your phone or a loose internal connector.

This worked for me thank you. I notice that when I was charging my phone. It took nearly 2hours to charge from 11% to 100. Fast charging was enabled. After i disconnected it from the charger, I left it on my bed. I turn to check the time, and notice that the screen would not turn on when i press the home key or the power button. I tried to boot into safe mode, and then I just held down the power button and the volume down button, along with the home Key (as I did not know the home key was not needed to depress before watching this video) and like magic, the screen turned on. And the device booted up like nothing never happened. I was concern, because the phone is brand new, I just got it this month. So it ain't even a month old yet. But I am very happy this was a quick secure fix for me and many others. I thank you once again, for doing informative and educational videos likes these. Godbless, and take care.

What do you think could have caused this?. Before this happened, I got the Android security patch for this month May 1st 2107. And that's when I notice the slow charging with Fast charging enabled. Do you think this is more serious, or just a simple system crash. I do wonder if it will happen again?. Thank you so much for you're swift reply, really appreciate it.

i had this issue where my screen went black. after the last update samsung put out , i back dated my phone to the marshmellow OS which i find way way better. however by doing this you also void the warranty. lol but i still did it.....

no way! that actually just worked!! I dropped mine in the shop and was frozen on black screen but with the time. couldn't even turn the phone off. thank goodness I just found this and it worked straight away :):):)

My phone problem is the charging light came on when charging, when I unplugged the charger, the screen didn't come on and the red charging light stayed on when unplugged. I tried many different key pressing combinations without success. Any thoughts?

You're awesome bro! So my issue was caused while using the Smart view function. I was able to see the top notification bar and that was about it.

i see so many people having the same issue, is samsung doing anything or you just simply toss your phone? it happened to my gf's phone and now it's completely dead although the notification light flashes. why they haven't addressed this issue is beyond me especially when so many people are experiencing it...

I didn't work for me I've dropped mine a few times tho and at first half the display was showing and slowly faded away, I've got the light above and i can hear notifications etc. but still a blank screen, what else can i try??

That's an issue inside the phone, since you dropped it a few times and the screen faded, your LED and display in your phone is broken, time for a new screen.

Mine isn’t cracked or anything looks brand new and mine was working and then it updated and now the buttons light up and I can hear it clicking but it still won’t fix the issue

It probably would have worked when I had the lights on at the bottom of the device initially. But the phone powered down and light went out before trying any of these simple fixes. Now it seems that my phone is not charging taking a charge?!

I have tried that on my phone and when it's say galaxy s 7 edge all the letters or not bright white the letters are like orange and they're like fading away and it turns on but the screen is still black but I can still press buttons I can hear when a text message come in and I can feel the vibration when i screenshot.

I can't shut my s7 edge off so it vibrating and beeping relentlessly. I've tried all the key and button methods but no dice. I'm sure it's dried out by now but the screen is black and the buttons, nav keys sometimes work. Oddly enough the water damage indicator isn't all pink or red... So what is it doing?

So, I do this but after samsung logo appears screen goes black again. Right before samsung animation. But phone boots up normally. I can even unlock etc... Also been trying to get into safe mode, but I can't tell if its working cuz screen is off.
