when you put the phone on the heater before taking off back cover, do you think that heat could shorten battery life?
I have the same but no display output, any ideas? I have charge going in, with and without the battery connected but no display output.

Hi pal. Hoping you can help me - my phone won't turn on or go in to reset nothing. I did like you and unplug battery then charge to see if it shows power but again nothing. Is there anyway I could extract information from the phone like contacts and pictures or is it finished?

So where do you buy the Samsung batteries? And where to get the S7 schematics? When the charger charges with only 500mA it will take longer before it reaches a certain voltage so that it will charge at full power. Applying the 2.5 amps for a short while lifts it over almost directly. Very interesting. Have you dealt with S7 that randomly reboot?

But this is only the half storry. To change battery is not enough. What about battery cycle counter resett? Without resett the new battery will be charched as the old one. Do you know how to resett the counter?

Hey Sorin, I really need your help my s 7 Edge used to freeze and restart by itself automatically for a few days until it wouldn't switch on at all, I really need it repaired as I want to transfer data from it to my new device, Samsung repair centers say they need to do data wipe in order to repair it which is something I DO NOT want as what is the point of repairing it without being able to get my data, do you think any of the typical mobile repair shops in town will be able to help with this? I just need it to switch on, so I can use the Move to iOS app lirerally a question of it functioning for 5 minutes maximum, please help! :(

He's probably made his own USB cable connected to his power supply. You can also buy an USB multimeter.

Lol...this might seem dumb, I don´t have the right tools, but can i use a hair dryer for heat(to open the phone) and to heat the rosin flux on the motherboard???
Might work to open it but defo not to melt solder that requires high heat in a concentrated area.

That resistance measurement is not a good way of determining a faulty battery. Load test is best. Load the battery with a resistor and then check voltage drop.

Strange fault. Using the power supply, the old battery seems as good as the new one. Maybe a problem with it connector!!

I look after my phones and keep them looking like new, so, to see someone working with absolutely no professionalism, no regard for ESDS Handling, no soft mat, not even a cloth to lay the phone face on, and no strip tray for removed parts, then looking for screws in his tub of bits. Really?
Then not cleaning off old adhesive, putting new adhesive on top, just appalling. Gluing in the battery before checking it worked? Absolutely no pride in his work, amateur and shoddy, I wouldn't send him my shoes for lacing!
