I've never played Captain Commando, the name puts me off as Commando is a dude with a gun and grenades lol. I was surprised to see it's like Final Fight but heavily borrowed from Sega & Namco in the art style theme. Rolling Thunder, Alien Storm, Revenge of Shinobi. I guess they borrowed from each other.
And yeah girls are always known as b1tches in Beat'um Ups, always hard as nails. Those high heals are lethal. 😄

In Evercade news, it's been interesting to see the reactions of the new arcade carts along with the new handhelds. I was really annoyed after seeing several youtubers wax poetically about the Superpockets AND try and convince their audience that Technos Superpocket is a good thing and you don't want a cart. Huh?!?! That was such a brain dead take to me and reminds me how too many of the channels that cover Evercade don't actually think. To attempt to be fair, the one channel was pointing out how expensive the Technos console cart has become and used that as justification but to me that's just a reminder that Evercade had a license.
Have you heard about the new limited 2600 console? I’m stoked because I’m a huge 2600 collector. This one will be a limited run of 2600 units worldwide. Definitely have one on order from my local store.

@@GameFreak1976I replied to this but looks like it got removed.. oh well! I guess evercade did keep it low key. You can easily look it up, and your local Evercade distributor should be able to order one for you.
Nice to see the Super Retrocade getting more use. I really enjoy that console. Do you use the controllers that came with it or did you get an arcade stick to work with it? (I know you've brought this up before but sorry I forgot the answer) Captain Commando is fun but feels like it's just missing a little something to make it really good.
I'm with you in trying to get my wife to play a game occasionally. I got her to play a little Knights of the Round as it was simple enough for her to learn how to hack away and she can have fun for 15 minutes and give me a little company.
