Cathy I have the Ugg slippers in gray and love them. Had for a couple years already. I also love their boots, I have a pair to wear around the house. I have arthritis and wood floors and these fit the bill. They last a few years and if the shearing gets a little lumpy, you can buy new Ugg inserts, work perfectly 😊
New subscriber here. Girl, you are an inspiration. So real and down to earth. Thank you for confirming that all of us want to wear high heels! haha I look forward to watching more of your videos
These are my favorite brands for wide, comfortable, and stylish shoes: Ilse Jacobsen (Tulip flats and sneakers), Blundstone (booties), and Naturalizer (smart and dressy ones). For workouts, Brooks sneakers are the best for my wide feet. As always, a very informative video Cathy!
I understand! I left California for Europe in 2013 at 58 years of age. I wore high heels to my Christian meetings and other occasions in California because I went everywhere by car. But here in Europe I don’t have a car. I go by public transportation or walk to where I need to go. So 99% of my shoes have to be flat or low heeled and need to be comfortable. At first it felt like I was giving up part of my identity not being able to wear high heels anymore. But now that I have been here over 9 years and am 67 years old, it is not quite as painful mentally. Because I cannot handle walking in them anymore.😅 I do have 3 pairs of high heels. But I rarely wear them. Wine will definitely help you to grieve the loss of your heels.🍷😉 Can’t hurt!
I love my UGG boots, I live in them in the winter. I will be trying on the two shoes by UGG that you recommend. I also believe in paying a higher price for something that will always look good and of great quality. As you indicated, when you or a little more mature, comfort comes before anything else. 🌻🐕🇺🇸
Hi Cathy, I love heels but due to wearing them to office many years ago, I have awful bunions so therefore I have to have comfortable shoes. I am a shoe horse I love shoes but I am trying to pick good shoes over cheaply made ones. I like your picks, great video my friend.❤
Hi Mary, I have never been comfortable in heels. I couldn't imagine wearing them all day working. That would have been quite the site in our barn milking cows in high heels! 😆
Hi Cathy. I liked your shoe choices. For walking/exercise, I like my Brooks sneakers. They come in wide width which is important to me. Thanks for your content.
Thank you for all these tips. I have a problem keeping slip on shoes on my feet unless they are really high in the front. I usually resort to marynjane type for a dressier sho, or sneakers for casual.
Hi Cathy...I have some of these brands..I don't buy shoes often so, I'm about quality.. One of my sisters recently gifted me with some shoes🙏🏾 She's definitely about quality.. Thanks for sharing your thoughts...Enjoy your day💜
Thanks for watching Faye. Quality in shoes and bras are very important in my opinion, they are the foundation to our outfit. Have an awesome rest of your week! 💖
I am a new subscriber, and it is a bit scary how much we are alike. We are the same age, I have issues with Rosacea, I have wider feet, struggle with losing weight too, but you are 4 inches taller! 😄 I love Sperry boat shoes! Thanks for videos that I can relate to, and that are informative and useful!
I just wanted to say your videos are great and seem to be good for all women over 50, not just petite. Could help you grow if you aren’t targeting just petite. Thanks for the videos!
I don't like high heels anymore either. But I don't like block heels. If I need a "high heeled" shoe, I like a small (one inch) wedge heel. It feels sturdier. I also like a "v" cut on the top and a pointed toe. (Rothys is a good example although expensive.) These help elongate the foot.
Great selection! I take size 11W and I refuse to compromise on comfort so good shoes are so worth it. I have black Skechers slip-ons, black Clarks loafers and some nice black pumps with a low, chunky heel. I’d love to add a fun pair of stylish loafers to my wardrobe. I’ll have fun trying some on in the coming weeks!
I suffer with plantar fasciitis, and I've been wearing Crocs this summer. I actually put orthotic inserts in my Crocs making them feel much more comfortable. Great video!
For fall and winter I recommend Blundstones leather ankle boots. I have them in nubuck brown and black leather. Very comfortable, trendy, longlasting and waterproof boots.
Hi Cathy. Thanks for the great video. It's so hard to find wide width shoes, plus I have collapsing ankles which makes finding shoes more of a challenge. 😏 Totally agree with spending more $$, you get what you pay for. Any thoughts on Vionic's? Have a great week!
Great video, I enjoyed your choices for shoes. I wear a lot of Clark’s and Keds. I still have 4 pair of Bass loafers from the 90 s. I didn’t wear them much then, I wore hospital work shoes. I still love them in black, brown, navy and brown tassels, so happy that I kept them. Love your videos, thanks 😊
I ordered nice boat shoes from Amazon. 🤷 They were too long for my feet. I've learned that it's best for me to try shoes on in person towards the END of the day . I wear 9.5 w -10w (bunions) I own dressy black shoes - the styles you suggested.
Hey Cathy! Greetings from Galveston, Texas. I love the black loafers, my Hubby bought me some black loafers. The Clark’s (brand of loafer) were surprisingly comfortable as I have a bunion. I was pleasantly surprised and grateful.
Comfort YES. If your feet hurt it’s a bad day. Agree that quality is important. They hold up and look nice a lot longer so you get a higher return on investment.
Always have to order online for my 9.5 WW feet, have to wear flats and round toe box .Had success with Hotters, comfortable right out of the box. Expensive but they have good sales all year. Propet and Jambu from Zulily for more reasonable prices than from their own website. Sometimes I am lucky at Marshall’s or TJ Maxx. Hope this helps others with wider feet. Just subscribed .😊
I need a wide toebox, narrow heel and since I have a high instep, it's difficult to find certain styles that fit. I also have metatarsalgia so comfort is the most important. Therefore, sports shoes for daily wear (I'm retired now) and flat/low heel for any dressy wear. I spend a lot on footwear just to get comfort. I've donated alot of almost new shoes due because of foot pain.
I have a pair of leopard print but they are high heeled and I can't wear them anymore so I'll be looking for flats instead. Thanks for the video Cathy, have a great day!
Hi Cathy! Great video! So many nice choices of cute shoes. I have always loved high heels but now it's all about comfort. I love your leopard print shoes.. Onward and Upward to 40k Subscribers! 🙏🏻💗💗💗
Hi Mary, I have never felt comfortable walking in heels. It would have been quite the site if I was milking the cows wearing stilettos! 😆 Have a great rest of the week. Lots of love! 💖
Hi Cathy, I am a real rocker. I LOVE my doc martins. BUT, I just ordered 2 low heel fun boot both were sent back. Ihave a high arch. That is no fun either. looking here for that casual dress shoe. Mephisto is a big favorite
I got rid of mine by always wearing thick foam flip flops around the house. I had it for about 6 months, but it gradually went away. I need the constant cushioning of the foam to keep flare-ups at bay.
Look up Bob and Brad on UA-cam. They are physical therapists. Plantar is all about the Achilles tendon which you can exercise. Also I found that it stops if you wear shoes with a small heel. No flip flops
i am enjoying your videos. they are giving me confidence and tips on what to wear. what i really want to knot is where did you get that picture of blue flowers on the wall behind you. i am redoing my house and that would be perfect in my family room.
Cathy, I too have wide flat feet, I mean like WW or WWW!! I found a pair of tennis shoes that are so comfortable and the regular size fit great! I get them at R.E.I. and they are called "Altra". Like I said when I bought my first pair, I didn't believe how well they fit. their shaped like a foot on the bottom sole so they fit a wide foot wonderfully! Check them out!
Love my vionics but they are doing my head in with the sizes swopping sizes while getting rid of the old stock just means returns. I have my pumps boots trainers and sandal. With a few sketchers in the mix for trainers arch fit. I’d love vionic to an ugly boot I use Celtic n co or emu And finally my mini croc wellies safe unbreakable and in recent years fashionable and slip on sandal crocs for poolside. I’m now after some jodhpurs and riding boots for riding not just fashion the search begins. I could give any fashionista a run for there money in amount of shoes but I’m sure they wouldn’t wear them. Only thing I’m not with you on is loafas idea great my feet don’t agree. Happy Monday enjoy the week
No animal print!!! Please!! NO!! That just screams old. Stopped buying new UGGs because they are not as comfortable as the originals from the 80’s. I now buy the Sanuk brand and I still have my Dr Martens. 😁 My kids will be dragging me to the old peoples home in my Docs.

There are Kitten heels, which r very small, also the wedge heel for formal wide fit nude shoes or even those black shoes u wore.
I love the Vionic slip-on

Thanks for sharing! I have a pair of Blundstone boots on my wishlist. Naturalizer shoes are always a good choice too!
I’m going to donate all my high heel shoes, some are new. I need a bottle of wine for this. 😞

Great idea, sip of wine and then toss a shoe… and repeat! Lol! ❤
I feel that jeans are neutral fabic. Goes with anything
I just love your videos, I too am 54 and 5’4”. You have helped me in so many ways, you are an inspiration. Thank you!
Thank you. It makes me happy to know that my videos are helpful. 😊
I love booties for fall, together with a nice pair of jeans and either a sweater or a cardigan with a t-shirt underneath
I like the Easy Spirit Traveltimes and not too expensive. Comes in a variety of colors and is a great slip on show that has great arch support.
Thanks for sharing!
Great ideas

Thank you for all these tips. I have a problem keeping slip on shoes on my feet unless they are really high in the front. I usually resort to marynjane type for a dressier sho, or sneakers for casual.
boat shoes also known as "top siders" in some places - keep up the good work
I hadn't heard of that term before, thanks Marjorie. 😊
Yes yes. Please tell brands of dressy shoes that also support and can walk hours. For a wedding. And a navy blue dress. Thx.
I like wearing Keen brand leather oxfords come in several colors but similar look to the black sneakers
I'm close to 61 and love leopard print stuff.
Easy Spirit, Naturalizer, Skechers work for me.

@@StyleWithCathy Thanks - had a wonderful time!
Great video, I have most of those shoes, but I have to admit that I don't like UGG boots/shoes....and I need a black pair of sneakers...
Thanks for watching Joan. I hope that you are having a nice week so far. 💖
I suffer with plantar fasciitis, and I've been wearing Crocs this summer. I actually put orthotic inserts in my Crocs making them feel much more comfortable. Great video!
Oh Linda, I hope that you feel better soon. Plantar fasciitis is so painful.
Thank you Cathy! 👍❤️ I’m size 10, and D to E width and you’re talking my language! I have bouts of ataxia where I walk like a drunk so heels are out.
Hi Margery! 🥰
For fall and winter I recommend Blundstones leather ankle boots. I have them in nubuck brown and black leather. Very comfortable, trendy, longlasting and waterproof boots.

Hi Julie, I love Vionic shoes. The slip on shoes that I showed are Vionic. Super comfy! 😊

Love Mephisto! Happy shoe shopping. 😉
The Chelsea boot trend is cute - but boy are those boots heavy! I always buy Ryka walking shoes - they usually have wide and they are so comfortable!
I always have to try on shoes. What looks good on shelf might not look so good on feet.
Thank you so much ❤
You're welcome 😊
This video is made for me.
How did you get rid of your plantar fasciitis. I have it.
I got rid of mine by always wearing thick foam flip flops around the house. I had it for about 6 months, but it gradually went away. I need the constant cushioning of the foam to keep flare-ups at bay.

I'm allergic to wool and real fleece so I can't wear any shoes with real shearling - are you sure Ugg has faux shearling?
That's what their listing on Nordstrom's website states.
Love my vionics but they are doing my head in with the sizes swopping sizes while getting rid of the old stock just means returns. I have my pumps boots trainers and sandal. With a few sketchers in the mix for trainers arch fit.
I’d love vionic to an ugly boot I use Celtic n co or emu
And finally my mini croc wellies safe unbreakable and in recent years fashionable and slip on sandal crocs for poolside.
This video must be directed towards me, my feet are wide, fat , large and recently became flat too
Your shoes can match your hair. The animal print shoes do match your hair.
I have a book on fashion over 40, and one of the pieces of advice was to match your shoes to your hair for a cohesive look. Makes sense to me.
i AM THE EXACT OPPOSITE. Skinny feet; skinny ankles. Really difficult to buy shoes as well as your challenge
🙋♀️💖
