This is an awesome video. I have wide feet with a high instep. I worked for 25 years on my feet, I'm retired and boy do I need good shoes. I've looked at Blundstones because my kids have them and swear by the comfort, but me being cheap won't pay the money, now I have a new outlook and I am going shopping for good fitting quality shoes. I'm 8 1/2 wide, with tendon damage and arthritis in my feet. Here are my top picks for comfortable shoe brands that I can't be without - Crocs (both traditional clogs and their flip-flops) Earth Origins, Naturalizer and Cobb Hill. My husband has constant foot pain and will only wear Merrell brand shoes. I've never tried that brand - but should since they get good reviews for both comfort and support. Two brands that others seem to really like that don't work for me are Vionic (gives me terrible knee pain) and Clarks. People rave about Clarks but they are so stiff and uncomfortable to me.
I used to wear Crocs and the had a designer line call “you” which are great but most are too tight on my bunion. I have the unique problem of having just one foot with issue but 40 years of Ballet has taken its toll. I have had success with Vionic’s but mine are on the dressier side so I am not really walking any distance in them. My husband also swears by Merrill and bought me a pair of their wide hiking boots, and they are the everything that people promised!
I’m currently suffering my third bout of plants facia. It really is so so painful for a very long time. You have my sympathy

For people with wide feet try men's shoes.Sneakers and sandals often look like women's but they have a wider toe box and just wider.I was a cashier and my feet were killing me but a co-worker suggested men's shoes like she wore...made all the difference.
I found a pair of these UGG boots for a fraction of the price at Winners at the end of summer and I’m in love! They are so comfortable and really high quality! ❤

Thanks for this video, Cathy! It is so important to look after our feet. I wish I started to much earlier in life. Somehow, when my feet hurt, all of me hurts. So support is key for me. I'm with you on the block heel - so much more stabilizing.
What a good reminder to take care of our feet. I wish I had been better to me feet when I was younger but at least I started a few years ago.. There's nothing that can ruin your day more (especially if you're sightseeing) that sore, achy, and in some cases bloody, feet. Yup, been there and done that. Life's so much better with happy feet.

Cathy look into “Fit Flops” they come in beautiful summer shoes . They have a wabble board. I have worn them in Europe, on Cruises, on River Cruise , to the Cottage , Mexico, Cuba , Bahamas . Marilyn at Shepherd’s Clothing Store in Oshawa , Ontario, Canada . Marilyn is apple shape , 5.4” woman, Rachelle is an apple shape , 5.3” woman , and Nellie is an apple shape , 5.0” woman. All three ladies are plus size laddies. I have learned so much from all these ladies .
I have a couple of comfortable shoe suggestions, for the thong sandals, SoftMoc has some great options, they are very supportive and quite nice to look at. And Clark's CloudSteppers are soooooo comfy, I can walk for hours in them. Great video Cathy, hope you are all healthy again!!!

Have you looked at the Bob&Brad UA-cam channel? They are physical therapists with many exercises and lifestyle tips for many issues including plantar fasciitis
Cathy I also love Saucony tennis shoes, its all I wear ,very supportive.
I only wear Mephisto Helen. I’ve tried every brand and these are the only ones that keep my Plantars Fascitis under control.

I love my Uin slip on shoes. I am an artist and like unusual designs and colors and these fit the bill. They are super comfy for me.
My most worn shoe is my UGGS 😂😂. I’m all about warm and cozy when it comes to shoes but of course we can’t wear UGGs everywhere lol.
I have a wide forefoot, high instep, and narrower heel. Foot problems: ball of foot, morton's neuroma (removed) left scar tissue. I spend alot on shoes and comfort is my main concern. Abeo is a great brand at Walking Co. Especially for sneakers. Unfortunately, Abeo dress shoes rarely come in wide.
I've had plantar. Crocs got rid of it because they have arch support that never changes. It doesn't collapse or flatten because it's not foam
Greetings from NY! Great video. We could be twins in so many ways and now feet! I recently donated some shoes and accidentally donated my favorite pair of black heels from Clark’s brand. I could kick myself however, they were quite old but reliable. I wear a size 6 wide so finding shoes is quite challenging. I may buy those black Mephisto’s. Thanks for the suggestions but if there are any closed toe, low heel (2-2.5 in) heels for winter that you can recommend, I’m all ears and feet. LOL. Take care.

Thank you so much for this video, perfect timing! I have similar foot issues and after my stroke I have lost feeling in my right foot/leg and need all the support I can get. I am in the market for a new pair of Chelsea boots. I ordered a different brand two years ago from Nordstrom and for the first time in my life the extra wide stretched out so much that my foot is rolling in and they are sliding off my foot. I love my Ugg boots but never thought to try their Chelsea boots.
Give them a try, they are totally worth the price in my opinion.

Love Love my Mephisto sandals. I want to try the Mephisto Rebecca shoes. Are you aware that you can buy them on Mephisto Canada website so will just pay sales tax, no duties. How do Mephisto shoes fit? I heard they were narrow.
