This is by far one of the coolest 90s band, and she looks so gorgeus....
You 😊 just got to love everything about this group. I do
Bubbie c.
agree!
At these times it wasn't the norm to actually perform the songs, it was mostly playback, but she's really doing it, she's amazing!
She’s just as amazing live
thanks 4 this ,
Saffron is beautiful. Can't wait to see Republica at Party at The Palace in August.
Yeah, great looking girl.
One of the best from those times
Thanks for posting this iconic song too! Love me some Republica and Saffron! ❤️
Why is everybody just sitting there? They rock!
Shes beautiful🤘
Audience looks thrilled.
My guess is uni students and friends of station employees, blagged free tickets for the recording. I have been in the audience for some TV show recordings in Glasgow and it's stop start all for a few hours to make something that might just last for 30mins
This crowd did not deserve to see this band live
Why not?
@@fishitreelitreelitfishit881 because the crowd was dead. I know if I was there I would be so hype and jumping everywhere. They seem to not be into the music
Class! Thanks for posting this up. It's great! 🌠
Great song :-D
Great crowd lol showing SOOOOOOOO much support for the band...LMAO
Glad you enjoyed this Jeff and thanks for taking the time to comment as so few viewers do.
You did get my point tho right? Horrible audience..that song rocks..I still jam it..my neighbors love ❤️ me 😛
@@Planetsoul808 yeah great song. I dont really have Any neighbours. So no problems
She looks good.. Great style
I love this!
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, glad you enjoyed it
Great to listen to and dance to!
Thanks to the poster. I appreciate the specs. Always great to see another aspect of an act. People going on about the vocalist's appearance are boring in their predictability and should have learned something from the treatment of Debbie Harry 20 years earlier.
Glad you found and enjoyed this
Golden era Saffron...... My God, she's gorgeous here 😍😍😍
I think 1991 was her peak she was sensational on the rave scene 🕊️💃
Excelente!
This song was an absolute banger on the album, but always sounded a bit soft when they played it live
I saw them play it at T in the Park in 98 and they rocked the place. I think in a studio gig it's an opportunity to show more detail of the song, as you can hear by the synth parts and reverb on her voice, but I'm sure live it was still awesome!
You are a star beaming in the solar system of our life and our way of gettin' down with your bad self.✌🤠
Where is the epilepsy inducing camera zooms?
Damn she's fine!
She certainly is
Thats saffron! ,she just gets better!😀
I was lucky enough to be at the boxed set recording of ocean colour scene back in the day. It was amazing a real intimate gig about 100 odd people there.
You were lucky to have been there and no numpties with phones in the audience.
@@ScottishTeeVee Yeah, no doubt-that drives me nuts! Leave the damn things in your pockets people.
What an incredible gal
I clicked the thumbs up button because at 359 I'm really frightened of uneven numbers so now the number is 360, an even number that means I can now rest in peaceful solitude but: "baby, I'm ready to go."
well at least she's not lip-synching.
Are you trying to say she's bad live?
@@veritas4364 i can't remember why i said it and what i meant by it
And she's got that gravy-thick English accent.
yessss
Nice to see you watched a few of my videos
Shout it out!!!!!!!!!!!!
She makes my winky tinky 😊
This is the theme song for top thrill dragster!
Thanks for watching and commenting
Shes cute
Hoping someone preserved Saffron singing "Mash It Up Harry". I have a very low resolution copy. I tried AI enhancing, but there's just barely any data there, except the song itself. I don't know where exactly in the UK that one was performed.
Saffron was so physical. Meanwhile the guitarist always sweat His head off.
I have a crush on Saffron
She was a good looking girl
I think Saffron should have had punk guitarists behind her, as in Discharge, Exploited, even Crux to really let her voice go, scream go nuts and wild, she looks a wee wild 1 lol, Saffron should have been massive with her voice!!
Have you heard Exploited live ffs
Hi! Do you still have these tapes? I think it could be transferred into digital even better. I mean I'm pretty sure it was 50 fps video and youtube or digitizing process have lost a half of framerate. I'm sure this would look MUCH better at 50 fps.
I keep all my tapes, but Im not going to redo this tape, as I have hundreds more to deal with
@@ScottishTeeVee I see. Okay. But please consider capturing at 50fps. I did this by deinterlacing source video using yadif x2 filter which makes frame fields (those became odd and even lines while digitizing) become two consequent frames. Even reduced resolution looks much more natural on VHS videos if rendered at 50fps.
One more to notice: UA-cam will compress and reduce fps if uploaded in less than 720p so it's obligatory to upscale to at least to 720p before uploading.
Best regards.
Who plays bass with these guys? Is it a backing track or is it the keyboardist doing it?
I often wonder that. The bass makes this song so much better.
They had 2 keyboardists when they recorded this in studio - pretty sure one of them was doing it. Sounds like they couldn’t quite pull off the same sound live with only 1 keyboardist. Still a good performance though.
I've wondered that myself, it's possible that it's a backing track which I have no problem with. All I know is the bass tone is excellent and so many songs of theirs have fantastic grooves because of it-and drums. Tim Dorney, their keys player, is a stone cold genius often creating nice grooves with his loops/sequences too.
Voice is great, she has let herself go bigtime :(
The change between 1997 and 1998 was noticeable.
@@Jeff-yz3on Yeah, she already looks bigger here
Fuck off you cunt, leave my mate alone
Hermosa, pedazo de hembra
There is NO energy in that audience!
To sing this song should ne not with eyes closing.
Thanks for watching and commenting
THAT READY TO GO VERSION IT DOES NOT THE SAME THAN ORIGINAL THE BASS SOUNDS TOO SOFT AND LOWER
It's live, they performed a full studio concert, I just uploaded one song.
@@ScottishTeeVee ok but you were great in 1997 reminds me when i was in the university....good memories..
plastic Sam
Damn this audience sucked, they were completely dead. Republica are playing their hearts out and nothing from this crowd.
It was the same on all the concerts from this show, audience seated and probably told to stay where they were.
@@ScottishTeeVee Oh okay. It just seemed weird they were stone silent when the band was performing. After they did applaud and make noise. But yeah maybe they were told to stay quiet.
Guess they are more interested in watching dudes in skirts playing a stupid ass bag instrument LMAO
