Homemade Apple Coffee Cake
Sift together:
1 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Mix thoroughly.
Working in with a fork or pastry blend:
1/4 cup butter.
Mix thoroughly.
Add:
1 egg, beaten
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix thoroughly.
Top with 2 1/2 cups sliced apples (peeled, cored, sliced)
Cinnamon Sugar
Combine:
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Mix thoroughly.
Top apples with 2 tablespoon melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Bake in a 400 degrees oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until done.
