Of course, guys.. our dear long time chef, Apron presented the basic recipe.. you can go nuts doing whatever your heart desires.. replace regular sugar with brown, drizzle caramel in between apple slices, top it with cinnamon walnut and brown sugar crumble…etc… and the result will be wow!! Good for school lunch baking each separately in mini baking loaf cups or standard cups. Replace sugar with honey if were dieting.. just remember to reduce amount since honey is sweeter and reduce baking time for it bakes faster and last but not least here goes a tip for you.. if using cinnamon change regular flour to whole wheat.. it makes flavors bind well resulting in robust bites.. guaranteed 👌🏻👌🏻

As a chemistry major student, I loved how you had melted butter in a beaker 😂 it's a match made in heaven, baking and chemistry 🤣♥️ Great recipe btw, but aren't the apples may burn on the bottom? Once I tried making apple upsidedown cake and the apples burnt and since then I quit all fruit-baked cakes 😂🥲

I used to bake cakes with hazelnuts but I also saw that the hazelnuts drop down to the bottom and burn, I solved it by coating the hazelnuts first in flour, almost 2Tbsp then adding them to the batter, they stay inside the cake and they never burn! Anyway hope you have happy baking! 💫
@@tt7762 Ah, that makes sense then. My baking never burns at the bottom, if anything it burns on the top because the majority of ovens where I live are electrical and only top heat. That's so good! Your oven would be great to make many Asian and Southeast-Asian cakes.

Thanks for the warning. I'll place the baking pan(s) on a 'cookie tray (baking sheet) as a precaution. The added barrier should solve the problem.

Your cake looks very delicious but I prefer to bake it in just one baking pan. Also little cinnamon would add some flavor

Could this be made in a regular cake tin? Albeit not a spring form in case of a leak but would a regular cake tin work?
Not necessary to have a spring form tin. I would use an ordinary cake tin and line it with baking paper. Sure beats greasing and flouring the tin.
