Bonne expatriation
Just moved to District 7. Used to live in Hanoi. I love District 7, no tourists but very good mix of internationals and still predominantly Vietnamese. And Korean. I'll be happy to stay a long time in this area.
@@MoveToAsia Thanks yes. So far I love HCM a lot more than Hanoi. I know Hanoi well but it's pretty different here. Perhaps as expats well connect one day.
A little bad timing during the pandemic. Actually a little bit funny, another tourist sitting taking pictures of himself for 20 min. Don´t get me wrong, but it´s an interesting city. Maybe showing something from HCMC/Saigon instead?
Yeah of course. But it's an evergreen topic. Recently some videos are more evergreen, you can have a look at others. Oh btw, we are still in lockdown but not forever, next week more video outside of the real city !
@@MoveToAsia , it’s the opposite, here in USA. Rents and prices have skyrocketed during Covid for many reasons. Eviction moratoria have caused a precipitous drop in housing supply. I am now getting $2500 per month for a 1 bedroom condo. With my rent money, I can afford to live in Vietnam!
@@richiesd1 You'll live like a King in Vietnam with $2500/month. Most Western retirees in Vietnam live on a $500/month budget. They are not big spenders at all. Quite the opposite.
good video, lots of good info.
Thank you. Very comprehensive!👍
Glad it was helpful!

Rents are cheap in HCM, IMO.
Oh yes ... compared to what I was paying in France. It's crazy ! Nowadays, with covid-time we do even have a 30% discounted price on 'normal rates'.
No they're not. At least $700+ for an ok apartment now

I'm currently enjoying 50% discount rent thanks to all the frauds that were removed from Vietnam. I hope they don't come back!
