That's actually embarrassingly bad. Also Kobe had ONE more assist over the entire series than Gasol. That's also embarrassing, Gasol hardly had the ball! Gasol should of won FMVP, he was robbed. Kobe objectively didn't play well.
@@jacoblee5796your arguing that somebody who averaged 10 points less than somebody else should’ve won finals MVPs. Y’all Kobe haters are so delusional, since when was 28PPG bad? 😂
@@Mikeaj-un6mf since he shot 40% for the series and 25% in game 7.
@@jacoblee5796 you left out the fact that he still led both teams in scoring despite shooting 25%, had 15 boards and held Ray Allen to 14 points, truth be told, the series shouldn’t have even went to 7. Kobe dropped 38 in game 5, but his team didn’t show up, Lakers should’ve won that series in 6 games. Kobe’s 2010 series was arguably better than LeBron’s 2013 finals.
@@Mikeaj-un6mf What happened in game 2 were Gasol balled out, shot 70% and the Lakers lost. Where was Kobe? Or maybe i should cherry pick the game were Gasol was an assist shy of a triple double?
You realize shooting 25% and still leading in points is bad, right? That isn't something to be proud of or brag about. That hurts your point, it doesn't help it.
Yes, Kobe had 15 rebounds and Gasol still had more. Gasol and the 3rd most offensive rebounds for a finals in NBA history! Gasol absolutely was robbed of an MVP.
Once again like the regular season mvp, the finals mvp must always be all about scoring and should only go to players with the highest points per game. Fuck impact, fuck leadership, fuck everything else about the game like rebounding, playmaking, defense, no scoring is the end all be all
Scoring is the most important thing in the game that is why nobody says Ben Simmons is a better player than Curry despite Curry only scores better
@@princesally743 and by most important you mean the ONLY important thing
@@subzerofromny735 Of course not but without scoring you can't win a game no matter how you can pass, rebound and block shots. But other things in the game are important too
PLEASE RANK THE WORST TO BEST NBA ERA
mvp isnt a contest of who scores the most points on the team or anything like that, its the player that is THE MOST VALUABLE TO THE TEAM OVERALL
Okay, so define value then. You seem very certain.
Without magic, the lakers would not have been the legendary 80’s team that they were. Magic wasnt a point hog and kareem was arguably better. But kareem couldnt carry the lakers, they needed magic, who could pass, shoot and run the floor. Same with the bulls and michael jordan. they had awesome teams in 94, 95 but without jordan, they couldn’t make it past the semifinals. What im saying is its the player that is all around the cornerstone to the team and was the main architect in the finals run and win. Yes, there are some head-scratchers along the way but for the most part thats how i see it
@@jealousyxanderblood7894 Predictable non-analysis, and with a factual error to boot. (Jordan was on the 1995 Bulls when they lost to the Magic in round two)
@@RicardoAGuitar Predictable? the bulls wouldnt have won those rings without jordan and the lakers are in the same boat without magic. I proved my point, other than being wrong about the 95 bulls. Every team needs a cornerstone, a franchise player. Super teams are bullshit and If Steph is so good then they wouldnt have needed KD to get their rings.

The 2005 finals had an amazing game 5. Robert Horry!
do the worst player in every finals series. like 2017 Deron Williams 2016 mo speights etc.
I agree with your choices
96 Finals? Dennis Rodman but we knew there was no way he’d win over El Jordo
Completely agree with you about 2010,brick bryant
17,&18 cupcake doesnt have any rings according to me either
The 2005 NBA Finals was actually good. The defense at that time was amazing.
Numbers dont tell the whoe story. Kawhi guarded lebron like a maniac and slowed him down
I enjoy these lists. So I guess a best NBA finals MVP video will be coming up eventually yes?
I expected 20 minutes of Michael Jordan making layups to inspirational orchestral music
Never forget Paul "poopy pants" Pierce the Truth
This video is Kanye west at the VMAs. I love it
KD know them rings don't count. If he was really ok with them he would've stayed in GS. They would've found a way to move Draymond if that calling u a bitch thing was something would couldn't work past.
3:20 You said 1971, not 81
Chauncey Billups and Cedric Maxwell are the only two Finals MVPs who are HoF eligible and not in, though I suspect Iggy might end up in this category too
What do you mean, not eligible? Is there a limited window that Chauncey missed?
@@RicardoAGuitar I said they WERE eligible, but that they hadn't been voted in. Maxwell will never be a HoFer, and Billups' rocky career pre-Detroit may keep him out as well. Even undrafted Big Ben went into the HoF before his Finals MVP teammate who WAS drafted. Let that sink in.
@@thebestcentaur I thought maybe there was some rule in place where a player was considered ineligible after so many years post-retirement. I would certainly vote for him.
@@RicardoAGuitar I think that applies to the MLB, but not the NBA. I would vote for Mr. Big Shot too considering his prominence in leading the Goin' to Work Pistons to the '04 title alongside a scrappy bunch of All-Stars including the best undrafted player of all time/one of the greatest defenders ever; sadly HoF enshrinement is not like All-Star selection. If it were, he might have been in a few years back
Dennis Rodman should’ve won the 96 finals MVP
An entire video without a Brady burn??????? Who are you and what have you done with the real Barry?????
Steph Curry finally won a finals MVP tonight
Curry should have won the award when the Warriors beat the Cavs, KD wasn't good until the last two games, I'm still salty about that
Stay mad lil bro curry had the worst finals preformance by an mvp I've ever watched on 2018 game 3

And KD had a whole lot of wide open easy points because of the attention the defense constantly put on Curry
@Jason Guarded tougher than KD too
excuse me sir but dennis Johnson was first team all nba defense 6 times. the first time he got that coincidentally 1979 the year he won finals mvp. with close stats and superior defense it was probably correct. He was the best defender at his position that year.
Kawhi was good but not finals MVP, glad Barry pointed that out.

That ending made me laugh even with KD being my favorite active player lol
I find it crazy how Jerry West won the FMVP even tho he lost. But LeBron had a Triple Double (the first and only in NBA history I believe) and he didn't win it.
Edit: in 2018
Jerry West won it because the award was created that year and voters didn't know who to give it to. Its been like 40 years since then and now we know you have to be the best player on the winning team to win the FMVP. No way Lebron could win he doesn't even deserve to be in the finals those years the east was so weak.

I mean lebron really did deserve that he just didn’t win cuz Of voter fatigue
@@Nick-wf8wj nah man. Drose led that bulls squad to the best record in the league while having no consistent help. A lebron lover putting his matchup on here 3 times. If you want to win finals mvp win the series
As a warriors fan, I think it was cool Iggy got the finals MVP. He worked really hard to help win that ring. Yea, he might not be as talented as Curry, Klay, or even Dray, but he worked really hard. He suppressed the damage LeBron could have caused, and he sat back and played his role instead of trying to be the star he used to be.
Foh. Remove Iggy and we have a really good chance. Remove Curry and we get swept. Like 75% of Iggy’s points were because of the trapping they did on Curry. Iggy did his thing but every championship team has that X factor typa guy that gives the team a big boost. So keep that same energy for all of them. Steph averaged 26,6 n 5 while being doubled
