Aunt May is right. In almost every universe where Peter dies, there are heroes who could help or even stop his death and they do nothing (sometimes cause it). This universe is no excuse.
And some plot even got more ridiculous. Like how everyone suddenly treat Peter like a criminal over something small even when they're friend for YEARS. The writers at Marvel are a bunch of hacks.
@@UnrealNeoBat Speaking as an X-Man Fan, I am inclined to say yes. They refused to help him for the following reasons. 1. Despite his abilities, he wasn't a mutant. 2. Barring that, during the arc about his Mutation's disease he wanted to get rid of his powers, but they refused to help based on the fact that the school was designed to help Mutants nurture their gifts. The only one that seemed to truly give a damn about Spider-man is Wolverine and that's only because he knew his parents.
I love it when everyone are sad of peter's death except thor shows how good he was also shows how thor is a good person knows peter is in the afterlife
I mean being a god he sees the world and life diferent than everyone else. He sees things in a much grander way. And on top of that a nordic one, whom belived that great warriors went to Valhalla a reward for their bravery and might in life, he sees Peter being there along all their fallen allies. There is another comic (not in ultimate universe). Thor visits an old priest, he says he has to wait but the prist says he can not wait any longer he needs the answer. To what? Well the priest once asked Thor what was the truth of belief and gods. Because he was sorta loosing faith he preached a religion but no physical proof while wo blocks away the literal norfic Thunder god was beating super-villans. The story is really nice. Saddly I eon't remeber the name of the comic right now, but is a good one.
5:11 that moment that encapsulates just how much Peter being Spider-Man meant to people. This little girl is simply stating a fact but it says so much more. This girl is alive with her mother and gets a chance at life because another kid only around maybe 8 or so years older then her made the decision to put his life at risk to save hers because her life was worth so much more to him. In a universe that was filled with a majority of manipulators, egoistical blowhards, narcaccsit and just straight up assholes there was this one kid who put on the costume simply because it was the right thing to do.
That's because Spider-man is probably the superhero in every universe with the least ego, He doesn't do it for fame he doesn't do it Because he is morally obligated to he does it because of his right And because If he doesn't do it People will get hurt And Can't stand for that to be the case. It would be so easy for him to just give up and given to despair and live a normal life or even to turn to villainy but He makes the conscious choice To be kind to be compassionate To do good for others without a expectation of reward. I mean the man pays for his own hot dogs Do you think spider-man should be paying for hot dogs?
I can see Peter putting himself in line of fire, and the heroes he respected never saw his real potential until it's too late. He deserves to be respected by them and villains alike.
The part where the little girl talks to Aunt May always makes me cry. Aunt May rightfully tore into Captain America. The grief in this part of the story was real. I liked the talk between Mary Jane and Nick. Honestly the relationship between Peter and Tony in the MCU never bothered me because of this event
No way you saw that as hate! 😅 He was so confident that Peter went to Valhalla that he didn't even shed a tear, unlike other people there, he knew for a fact Peter was in a better place.
He’s not smiling because Spider-Man is dead. He’s smiling because he’s confident Spider-Man died worthy of Valhalla, and as an Einherjar in the Hall of the Valiant, Spider-Man would be a friend that he would never lose. Unlike everyone else experiencing Spidey’s mortality, for Thor Spidey has become more than mortal.
i remember when this happened. it was the death that shook everyone and changed people. even non comic readers were talking about it. it was almost like the second shot heard around the world, the day that spider-man died.
you did a great job summarizing this volume. out of all the heroes of Marvel, I've always had a soft spot for Spider-Man due to all the things he went through but still found it in him to get back up and keep going. seeing Thor acknowledge he'll see Peter again in Valhalla was also beautiful
Ultimate Cap was a douche and deserved every drop of that. They used Pete’s death and this confrontation to try to turn it around but it was too late and the damage was done
Aunt May represents the reader. Taking a stroll through the ultimate universe, and realizing the only one who was worth a damn and wasnt a narcissist was her nephew 😂
Currently the new Ultimate Spider-Man universe has him with a wife and kids and even Uncle Ben is there. Only downside to his life is Aunt May is dead but he's mourned and moved on.
See if I were to write Spiderman I get him a happy ending marry mj have a kid grow old teach same lesson he was taught by uncle ben to his kis and pass away peacefuly that is how u give Peter a happy ever after
But i build up to it like same old nerd Peter gets bite goes through all the same stuff but this time he gets a happy end and he gets his dreams I would do that comic series if I could
Ultimate Cap really was outta line for what he did to Pete. He said he wasn’t ready to be a hero without taking a second to look at everything he accomplished as a hero, and by the time he did it’s too late and the boy he told off is laying in a coffin because he wasn’t ready to block a bullet with his shield.
True but they will never let their golden boy be happy like literally if it wasn’t for Spider-Man marvel wouldn’t have this so much of a fan base that it does right now literally we got was rain we got Deadpool we got all these characters but when it comes down to Spider-Man there is no other in marvel that can say that they have done everything the Spider-Man has done and everything Spider-Man represents
Personally I think that little girl gave aunt may enough strength to make it as far as she did, She confirmed that peter Followed his uncle's example of being a good person And doing what he was able with what he had. She may have not wanted him to be a superhero but she's proud of the man he became and mourns the man he could have been
Breaking the Fourth Wall without one Charecter looking at you...yall know you felt something looking at that Kid asking Aunt May if she needed a hug...
Ultimate Spider-Man went out like a champ in the Ultimate Universe before Miles Morales came onto the scene which led to his transition to Earth 616. I need to read the Death of Ultimate Spider-Man. I know He laters comes back before 1610's destruction during the Incursions and Jimmy Hudson and the Maker would be stuck on Earth 616 for a long time. Now Jimmy Hudson is working with the TVA, meaning he'll go to Earth 6160 or return to an invaded Earth 1610. I believe 1610 Peter Parker survived and is still lurking within the Web of Life and Destiny.
In the issue 5 of ultimate Spider-Man, after Peter catches his uncle's killer there is a pannel of him saving 2 little kids from a burning building, don't know if many caught that call back.
Japanese Spiderman is pretty happy. Sure he lost his father figure in the beginning but for the rest of his saga he's busy kicking ass and enjoying it.
I don't really get why everyone's on Cap's ass like this. Yes, he could've trained the boy. So could Tony. Thor. ANY of the Avengers. ANY of the Xmen. SHIELD. The Fantastic 4...ANYONE. But because the guy that didn't want a kid putting himself in danger chews him out for being a kid, he's the bad guy? Foolishness. ANYONE could've taught him how to do the job right. Cap is a good enough man to feel responsible for what happened, but that ain't on him. Because trained or not, encouraged or not. Peter was taking that bullet for him. It's just the way he's coded...just like Cap.
It’s because of the way he tried to downplay everything Peter/spider man did. She was angry because they still treated him like trash or not on their level.
Good video. The voices you did for the women definitely put me off a bit, though. You don’t need to get all voice-cracky every time you voice a woman if you know what I mean. Yes, this is Peter Parker from the Ultimate Universe, which no longer exists. Marvel erased the old Ultimate Universe and replaced it with the new Ultimate Universe, where Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson are married and are raising a child.

Not just that, but as a warrior, Thor thinks Spidey died an honorable death.

Isn't there a multiverse where Parker is allowed to be happy? Marvel writers truly hate what Spider-Man stands for.
They don't. They just think maxing the drama makes good storytelling.
if they hated him, they'd have made him a comedic punchline and killed him off in a stupid way permanently

This story of Death of Spiderman, the blame was on Nick, S.H.I.E.L.D, and Cap.
I'm sorry, but that shot of Spiderman and MJ just reminds me of Death of Superman.
The way these writers are treating Peter Parker....they might as WELL kill him off. Have him join Ben in the after life.
