Thank you for helping me locate my fuel filter I took it to get it replaced and the people said I need a mechanic because it’s on the inside of my fuel tank
I hate when people lie I got a 2003 nissan frontier crew cab xe and I replaced all 6 sparks plugs a mechanic lied saying the only way to replace was to take off the intake manifold when in reality it wasn't I did it without taking it out
Thank you, I’ve got the same truck, just a year newer (2003) and everything you have taught me has been of great value and help. Where did you get the shop manual as mentioned at 0:35
Great video, but you really should remove the fuel pump fuse before trying this, start the engine and let it idle until it dies, to reduce the pressure to nearly zero. Otherwise, you cold get sprayed with gasoline.
True North Muskoka fuel filter is inside the fuel pump assembly and it’s not serviced until you change the hole pump assembly. 2000-2004 are the same location under car and so are the 2005-2016 in pump assembly.
@@RazorBucks BUT OF COURSE IT'S IN THE F@$%#*G FUEL TANK!!! Nissan couldn't have placed their 2013 Frontier fuel filter in an easy-to-reach location for easy replacement like my 1981 Honda Civic where the filter was located under the left-rear wheel well. Thanks a heck-of-a-lot, Nissan! NOT! No more Nissans for me. Edit: Thanks, Razor Bucks for the section on Fuel Systems in your PDF.
You should be able to turn on your key to the second position and hear the motor of the fuel pump on the the drivers side, under the hood, if you cannot hear it, it is probably bad. You may need an assistant, so you can listen under the hood. If you have never changed the fuel filter, it is cheap insurance to replace it.
On my 2002 Frontier, it is located in the fuse box under the dash. It is the first 15A fuse on the top left. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Kudos to explaining the simplicity of it. I kept looking for it in the engine compartment. Also bonus points for dressing like a minion.
:) Thank you very much. Call me Stewart!
Your videos have helped me more than I can even put into words! Thank you! And I hope you continue to upload videos!!!

Awesome video, very well explained

You look like a minion. Thank you for the video.
Thank you.
What service/shop manual are you using for this truck?
@@AgentAle47 Nissan factory manual. You can find them on eBay.
@@RazorBucks awesome! Thanks! That’s sounds better than the online manual I got.
Cant find any videos for 2013 Nissan Frontier fuel filter change. Any idea if its same as 02?
It is in the tank, carmanuals2.com/d/47501
Is the fuel filter for the 2012 frontier also in the tank or mounted on the frame line this one

@@GeorgiaDawgAthens nah that would be too easy. Just like changing an alternator on a nissan murano, which is maybe 20m tops--took me 5 hours.
Do you take out the fuse for the fuel pump before swapping the filter or another one??
I did not.
@@RazorBucks ok. Thank you. I just wanted to make sure.
Thankyou
Would it be in the same place on a 02 frontier king cab?
Dragon Fox it should be. I will update if it is not.
Ty
Thank you.
What size engine is that? I have a 2.5 liter 4cyl. O'Reilly's says its a non serviceable part.
3.3 6cyl.
That filter is bullet proof, surrounded by armored plates.
That it is.
Was the flow arrow facing towards the driveshaft?
Yes.
Razor Bucks thank you. I figured so
Thank you for the comments. If you have anymore questions, please feel free to ask and I will do not best to answer them.
So how can U tell if U have a bad fuel filter or bad fuel pump?
You should be able to turn on your key to the second position and hear the motor of the fuel pump on the the drivers side, under the hood, if you cannot hear it, it is probably bad. @@RazorBucks cool thank U. Yea I have my 17 yr old son who’s gonna help me
Da minion
I have an 08 nissan frontier se. Would it be the same for mine as well?
I do not think so. I did a quick search online and it looks like the filter is now part of the fuel pump module and is not serviceable.
Razor Bucks, I appreciate you replying back. I didn't think it was serviceable cause, I looked under truck earlier but wanted to make sure.
Thank you for the comment and best wishes on your vehicle maintenance.
Will this be located the same on a 2001 Nissan Frontier?
Should be the same.
For Nissan Frontier 2006 is same posición?
I believe it is in the same general position.
WOW. do mine next. LOL. LOL
LOL, you can do it. Thank you.
Could the same apply to an 03 frontier ???
It should be near the same location.
Where is the fuel pump fuse like located?
On my 2002 Frontier, it is located in the fuse box under the dash. It is the first 15A fuse on the top left. Let me know if you have any more questions.
I think you can pull that fuse, then run the engine till it dies to use up all the fuel in the line and reduce the mess.
That is what the shop manual recommends.
Ist same in nissan almera tino 2002 1.8 please help me
I am not 100% sure, but from what I read, it appears to be in the fuel tank and is not considered a serviceable part.
Razor Bucks so there is not other places
I am not familiar with the vehicle, but from what I found doing a quick google search, that is correct. You should double-check, just to be sure.
Razor Bucks I didn't find it
