- A group of four wheel drive vehicles from the 1940s and 1950s take a long drive through Lockhart Basin near Moab Utah and visit the crash site of aa Airf Force training jet from 1952
Great video Stan! Amazing scenery agreed , I don’t think you need to go through the footage to shorten the video? Just put out a few videos of sections and number then so we can experience the whole trip and then pull out the more exciting parts as shorts? I find the Jeep noises and watching you slowly roll through the countryside relaxing. Like watching the waves on the ocean or a campfire, I think it’s good for the soul! Stay safe on the trails. Keep GPN
I used to 4 wheel drive myself but nothing approaching Your level. As as age has progressed scenery has taken a forward step. If You slow down scenery is great.
I say well done again.
I love the scenic rides and the rock crawling. Thanks for checking in.
Thanks for the ride it is always a pleaser in the back roads in a flat fender. Paul
Amazing video Stan , all the beautiful scenery it was great to see. I enjoyed seeing the CJ5 out on the trail as well. Thank you once again ❤
Thanks for watching.
Stunning views. Happy to watch this all day 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it
This was such a great start to my week in Moab. Back in the day I always wanted to head straight to Pritchett Canyon after a warm up on Moab rim, but this was just such a nice experience in such a beautiful area ! I will be running this route again, spending a little more time here. Thanks again, Stan !!
It was fun having you along.
What a beautiful area, to drive in, always like to see the rigs being used so well, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Stunning Scenery and good camera work. I enjoy watching you guys. ,especially it up.
Oh, it's been a few years since we drove Lockhart Basin. But it is memorable. We didn't fuel up before starting out. Planned to go to Chicken Corners and back. But hey, while we were there... By the time we got back to Moab we figured our FJ40 had about a gallon left in the fuel tank. Our friends about two gallons. Definitely want to do that again. Thank you for sharing this Stan!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for checking in.
Absolutely beautiful, the trail, landscapes, everything. ❤
I wish I'm closer, I would enjoy with my Jeep on this trail.
Greetings from Croatia!
Thanks for checking in.
Loved it -great job. cheers
Thanks
I guess watching it and listening to you is the next best thing to being there. Hopefully next year!
Thanks Tim
Great trip Stan. Vid really captures the incredible scenery and plane crash site. Love the scene of Jeff fixing his tire with several plugs and laundry starch!
Thanks "Cowboy". 😋

Very nice scenery Stan!! Just love it. Thanx to you and your buddies !! Keep it up plse😊😊
Thanks Marc.
All the best to you, Series 1 Land Rover awesome my first motorcar at 17 years old.
Thanks for checking in.
I love the Firestone Sure Trax (or maybe Super Trax) tread pattern on the LRs! Reminds me of the tires on my dad's old 68 C10. I wish I could find something like that for my Gladiator. I really dig the vintage look.
You and your buddies always do the coolest rides. Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for watching.
Thanks very much Stan! This is one of your best videos!! What a great countryside!!
Thanks, Max. I wasn't sure if people would enjoy this as much because there wasn't as much rock crawling action, and more dash cam scenery.
@@Grampas-jeep Stan I don't comment often, but I do watch most of your and Jeff's videos and appreciate and admire and am inspired by all of the Jeeps and the great driving skills and the places you guys go to, so on this video don't get me wrong, please don't change a thing in the future! Nevertheless on this video the scenic content is very wonderful and sure makes me appreciate the greatness of our country!!
Very nice footage
Thank you very much!
Come sempre filmato bellissimo con scenari mozzafiato jeep fantastiche
Grande Stan💪
Thank you.
Thank you for sharing!
Speech less to say about your valuable driving skills ... But very very nice scenery...
Blessings
Enjoy these videos thank you Stan and your friends
Thanks for watching.
I've done that trail a couple of times. Not difficult, but outstanding scenery.
Amazing scenery and the plane crash site was very interesting to us. Thanks for checking in.
Thank for video, Stan
My pleasure! Thanks for watching.
このような場所が、羨ましい限りです。
Stan and Jeff, what a great video, I have watched 4 times. I like all your video's but this is My favourite. Sort of reminds me of NASA pickies from Mars. Scenery is outstanding. Jeff outstanding camera work. Keep doing it Jon
@@JonSpindler Thanks for your feedback. When I was putting this together, I worried about the less action, more scenic nature of it.
I was there a couple of years ago. Somewhere at about 38:20 to 38:50 in the video if you stop and look off to the right you look down into a ravine and the tail of the aircraft is laying there clearly visible. My understanding is one of the rear main bearings seized and a rear turbine came out the side of the aircraft breaking off the tail. The main wreckage is about 1/2 mile away to the south or southeast. That is a very remote area, some local ranchers actually flew in and landed small airplanes to recover the 2 crewmen. From the area of the wreckage it is a short walk to the site of the infamous "Utah monolith".
I'm impressed with the ability of the small vehicles to negotiate some of the taller obstacles. Today everybody thinks they need large tires to roll over those things, probably to compensate for the weight of today's vehicles.
Thank for checking in. It was an awesome trail experience and sobering witness to the cost of freedom.
Great video with lots of gorgeous scenery. How much gas did you take/use?. Want to run it but don't want to be stuck.
My jeep holds 10 gallons. I took 15 extra gallons but only used 10 of the extra.
Thanks for watching.
Today in my 7th only Series Land Rover
Quel est ce produit bleu que vous mettez dans vos chambres a air en cas de crevaison ? ..
Luquid laundry starch
@@Grampas-jeep Merci pour le renseignement ..Bonne journée
I've run Chicken Corners a couple times and wondered about Lockhart. It looked long on the map. This helps. Thanks.
Thanks for watching.
They made it look easy. A lot of well modified modern vehicles have trouble driving through the north part of the trail.
Offroading To Good ❤
You ever play RATPATROL While your out there???
Hah. Sometimes we play on the sand, or drive faster than we should on the trail, but usually, we drive slow and enjoy the surroundings.
Thanks for watching.
