Davey is one a the most talented, genuine and humble people i was fortunate to know during the ole Rock House days in Indianapolis when he was with Recoil. Davey could sing the alphabet song and I'd be mesmerized! ❤ Mel B.
Man, ten years later, when the nostalgia hits, still good as the first time. I actually sat and recorded this from my computer screen with my flip phone😅🤣
I had to figure out for the life of me what this song was. I remember the pages in video and I was like Pure Volume..but they are gone and had to meditate on it until I googled Christian Rock Fiction Song. And it brought me back here.
I have hosted over 15 concerts with these guys and love seeing them live. Good band. I look forward to their new music. You all should check out my videos, I have a lot of live footage of them from concerts I have done with them.
Check out K I D S . on Facebook. They put out a new EP (you can find it on iTunes) called Side A last year. Side B is coming out this year. We are also putting out acoustic versions of the old tunes.
I'm listening to this in 2020, amidst a global pandemic, and feeling older than I probably should. Wow does this song make me long for times gone past.
i loved this song back when it was new but am I the only one that always thought the singer looked a lot older than most bands? most bands in this scene were still teenagers and early to mid 20s this guy looks like he's 35 or older
I won the short fiction contest they did alongside this release back when I was a kid. Also as someone who grew up to write professionally, in hindsight it was SOOOO BAD.
I also met him he was in my fave play . It was produced by +caseyross and it's called Hells Fourth Ring The Mall Musical he wrote all the songs for it and he's an amazing artists.
met them way back when I was a kid, they were saying hi to church groups doing charity work in the area, then gave us all vip tickets. I miss this music
Why did they stop putting out stuff in the first place , they're so awesome lead singer awesome voice my brother introduce me to these guys in the 90s when I was in too bands like project 86 mortification and pod blindside living sacrifice. Crimson Thorn Deliverance
This band broke up shortly after this album came out in '07. They got back together and i guess they have a new album coming out. But thats been a rumor since '10. I hope the rumor is true. I miss these guys.
This band really does need more credit. Only thing i see wrong with them is they're band name "Kids in the Way" It doesn't really stand out that much like Sum 41 or Green Day or Sum 41 I checked out 20 more bands before i came to this one (just a example)
@zoltan6942 The fact that I have heard this same music seance the 80's would be a good start. =-) Look up Duran Duran. And then it was the same in 90s with Lynkin Park. Same crap different day. All they are playing is a standard beat. (its the same thing almost every band does.) Then its the cords. They are playing a full 3 or 4 cords. so every 4th beet to 8th beat they repeat the same cord over and over. So basically you are getting 1/10th of a full song. So there is what not to like.
Also interested in this. I heard the K I D S release when it was on Spotify for a sec ... I remember hearing it was released on iTunes for a sec a while before that, and I am very confused as to what they're doing.
@A7XXrocks77 i just listened to it again, just to make sure i wasnt just being an ass, n i still get that vibe idk. still don't like it much but its cool. people calling me out on stuff is a good check for me so im not just being an idiot posting opinions. thanks for the not too hatefull reply man, people can get crazy passionate about defending their favorite bands.
Lyrics are Christian, band is Christian, their music is written from the believers perspective but you can also apply it in your own way. Additionally, unfortunately they split up years ago however they've recently reunited... hoping for something new from them sometime soon...
There actually are bands that call themselves "Muslim bands," it's just not prevalent here in the West (they are usually Turkish or Russian). Buddhism takes a different connotation to life than western philosophy and sociology as their views are less evangelical. Kids in the Way actually consider themselves "Christian Music." I don't give a shit what a band calls themselves. If they want to call themselves Christian music, I don't care. I'll listen instead of trying to define their views.
However, you can't 'redeem' a neutral medium (music). Therefore, not a 'Christian band.' Notice there are no 'Muslim bands,' Bhuddist bands,' or 'Animist bands?' The term is flawed. Also, notice Thrice was never considered a 'Christian' band, but the lyrics are almost Biblical on a couple of the albums they produced? Most of the band is of Christian belief. Maybe if people stop tagging the word 'Christian' to good music, everyone would listen to it? Food for thought.
2023 and this song randomly popped into my head. I almost forgot it existed.
That voice will always be remembered . My teenage years
Davey is one a the most talented, genuine and humble people i was fortunate to know during the ole Rock House days in Indianapolis when he was with Recoil. Davey could sing the alphabet song and I'd be mesmerized! ❤ Mel B.
This is probably my favorite song by Kids in the Way. Never got to see them live, but I bet they were great.
I saw them, most of the band I think were fill ins and didn't look like the singer was really singing, still cool tho.
Sadly, many singers lip sync(Yes, even Christian artists). Manic Drive & Hollyn do.
I'm glad Dave Pelsue and company are back together. Christian rock didn't need to lose any more good artists.
Man, ten years later, when the nostalgia hits, still good as the first time. I actually sat and recorded this from my computer screen with my flip phone😅🤣
Kids In The Way are pretty amazing. Wish they were still around and made more great music, for real. This song is such a banger.💯👍✌️🤟
Aaye they doing well?
I had to figure out for the life of me what this song was. I remember the pages in video and I was like Pure Volume..but they are gone and had to meditate on it until I googled Christian Rock Fiction Song. And it brought me back here.

Ngl I kinda miss his old voice tbh
I love them and love him so much! Wish they still made music, they deserved to become so much bigger.
I agree 100%. One of the most underrated Christian bands.
They made music a few years ago as K I D S, but I can’t find any of it.
I remember seeing these guys at my church teen center a long time ago. Loved them live and still have the signed album and case from them
I have all their CDs but no CD player cause mine broke 😭 his voice will always be glorious
Manny Blackstar they actually reformed as K I D S.

Three words: Best band ever.
I won the short fiction contest they did alongside this release back when I was a kid. Also as someone who grew up to write professionally, in hindsight it was SOOOO BAD.
That’s cool nonetheless.
They broke up in 2007, but they're reunited again! Hooray!

Why did they stop putting out stuff in the first place , they're so awesome lead singer awesome voice my brother introduce me to these guys in the 90s when I was in too bands like project 86 mortification and pod blindside living sacrifice. Crimson Thorn Deliverance
I saw Dave Pelsue sing @ the church he goes to and @ CIY with the Aaron Pelsue band :D Dave Pelsue is so HOT!
This band broke up shortly after this album came out in '07. They got back together and i guess they have a new album coming out. But thats been a rumor since '10. I hope the rumor is true. I miss these guys.
Lyrics are Christian, band is Christian, their music is written from the believers perspective but you can also apply it in your own way.
@sXejuggalosXe I cant wait for their new CD to come out, with their tour of Germany!
@VGames2 i would assume that the band members are christian, they are played on the effect radio network. they are considered a christian band
Good theory.
This band really does need more credit. Only thing i see wrong with them is they're band name "Kids in the Way" It doesn't really stand out that much like Sum 41 or Green Day or Sum 41 I checked out 20 more bands before i came to this one (just a example)
🤘💪
I was in band that had the opportunity to share the same stage. They are amazing people. That was about 13yrs ago.
MUDIC DE EMOQUE RARO

@zoltan6942 The fact that I have heard this same music seance the 80's would be a good start. =-) Look up Duran Duran. And then it was the same in 90s with Lynkin Park. Same crap different day. Also interested in this. I heard the K I D S release when it was on Spotify for a sec ... I remember hearing it was released on iTunes for a sec a while before that, and I am very confused as to what they're doing.

I'll admit, when I first heard this song, I thought the band was emo.

Now Vevo. If I'm listening to this do you really think I want to go to Rihanna's vevo? Come on now.
It’s almost like they have an agenda or something.....
