As a recovering alcoholic, this song brings me to tears. I remember the times I’d desperately pray and ask God to take my addiction away. It took years but it finally happened after I almost died from an intestinal infection. The very last drink I had was on the day I was admitted to the hospital. 3 years sober and I’m not looking back. Alcohol did nothing but cause physical illness and spiritual growth stunting. I thank you Jesus for having mercy on me and showing me that You are still with me even though I am a wretched sinner. 😢🙏
I’m not religious but I am a functioning alcoholic and the struggle sucks. Glad you got clean. I have my ups and downs.

if you search the artist's name followed by the album title, usually you have a pretty good chance of finding what you're looking for. I had a tough time finding all of Reds albums on here, but eventually with the right keywords I found the album playlists. for example, type "Red - Until we have Faces Album", and you should find a playlist with the entire Album.
I shared the same struggle as you. I had to type in RED Christian Rock Band to get this song.

I was in a really dark place a few months ago. Crying out to God to just take my life. This song completely embodied how I felt. It also turned me on to other Christian bands. So very grateful that God put this in my life at the right time.

I grew up Christian & Red was really an escape for me. I wanted to listen to metal / rock but I couldn't convince my parents it really wasn't an evil genre. Red really helped me to listen to Christian music without my parents hating my music. Who else had that experience growing up? Thank you for your amazing music Red ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

This music is absolutely not evil, it's a great way to reach a broader audience for those that like harder edged music but still get uplifting lyrics. I believe spiritual help can come from any type of music as long as it's aimed towards God.

Same here. I've been listening to this for quite some time and then when I finally decided to look for a video, I find out in the comments it's a Christian band, but I don't give a f'ck. As long as I'm not saying anything I don't believe in directly, I can interpret it however I want.

And not to offend listeners of what you listed, but Red's music has very deep meaning. As you may know, many of their songs tell of their journey through religion (whether it's a struggle or whatnot). And for some people, religion is a huge and crucial part of their lives. So the emotion that Moves Like Jaeger was talking about has deep, meaningful roots.

I can absolutely relate wholeheartedly Jesus dying a death I not only deserved but wanted. He saved me from depression, addiction, and hell. I love Him.

My other sister also died a couple years earlier from a heroine OD but she was revived back to life. She’s a believer. I know how much drugs can destroy a family. For a 25-year-old like me who likes music, this music is an excellent one. It's never too late to listen to this music.
I am a parent, one who shares a lot with my kids. my daughter got me into Red and I fell in love with them. I believe that a child should be able to express themselves any way as long as they aren't hurting anyone. my daughter listens to Red, colors her hair, at one time was also into weird clothes. None of that defined her then or now. It's music, not a "spell". Enjoy it, express yourselves cause you only get one life. Make it your own!
When I was atheist this music didn't really mean much to me. I thought it was a dude singing about how he felt bad when he wasn't around his girlfriend. As a christian, this song takes on a whole new meaning.

I'm a bit late to the party with Red. But I found them through a friend who said to give them a listen. I can say they are really good. And for a 51 year old who still loves a good hard band they surely pass the test.

A million steps I ran away, and it was only one step to come back to GOD. I have rededicated my life to the Lord and am serving him everyday. This song hits hard. I had hit rock bottom and had virtually given up on life. Blacked out one night after drinking and woke up realizing I had OD'd on xanax. I called a close friend and went to the hospital. They said it's a miracle I even woke up that day. I thank God for that. 1 year sober

I mean, if you're not a depressed person or someone on drugs or someone who wears gold chains that are bigger than life, or a person who's "up in the club" all the time, but the lyrics are about those things, then I guess you could also say the songs' lyrics only "relate" to those people and are "pointless" to everyone else.
