Chris, I have several BF stories, I've left one on another video. My very first encounter was at 4 years old. I've only told two people in my 52 years on this planet, because it sounds unbelievable, and it's such a vulnerable story, that I just couldn't risk the reactions I would probably get. But reading the comments on this video is encouraging, so here it goes. My grandparents bought land on the American river, near Elk City Idaho, in the Nez Perce Forest in 1967. They built this beautiful cabin themselves, which is a really neat story on its own. Anyway, we lived in Kennewick WA, and would go up there as a family often. We had a little fire pit dug about 50 feet from the river (it's more like a creek in this area) with log benches sitting around it. The adults had their beers and sodas kept in the river. It's late afternoon, sunny, perfect day. Well, I've always loved the forest, and would get to know that area very well. But at the time, I was really little, but unafraid. So the adults are visiting, and I was exploring. I remember following a butterfly, then stopped and checked out a huge slug, when I heard something. I thought it might be a deer, so into the trees I kept walking. I couldn't figure out what the noise was, so I was just going to go back to the adults. When I looked up to go back, I realized I was deep in it, couldn't see them, couldn't hear them. I called out, and started walking in the direction I thought they were, but didn't seem to be getting any closer. The next thing I know, this huge hairy hand took my hand, it's palm was smooth and greyish, but the fur was reddish brown, and we began walking. I honestly don't remember looking at the creature itself, I was so focused on finding my way back I guess. Anyway, we walked a bit, and then came to the edge of the woods. There was my family, the fire, and I was so relieved that I hadn't noticed that the hand was no longer there. I turned to see where he was, but it was gone. Without a sound, just, gone. I didn't say a word because I didn't want to let on that I had been lost, and get in trouble. Some might say I was scared, and imagined it. And if I hadn't had all the other encounters throughout my life, I may not argue with them. But it was as real as I am, I recall the texture of its fur, and it's hand, the colours, the long yellow nails. Anyway, that's my first BF encounter. He saved my life. 🤍
I think this is a wonderful story-it reminds me of the encounters my sibings and I had up in the Pacific Coastal Rain Forest down around Lincoln City. Only as adults some 40 years later did we suddenly realize what we had been doing. But for about a decade or more--we played in a restricted area of this rain forest 500 yards from Beverly Beach State Park camp grounds. Forest Rangers were chagrined by our naivete--and our innocence--and that we seemed to be fine up there. It was a long climb to reach the area too. Up there we could see the ocean and it was dead silent too. NO bird sounds, no bug sounds either, we never questioned. Only noise was the ocassional "Whoop Whoop's--which as children we answered in unison!! And the tree knocking--which my brothers answered and developed their own code with whatever was knocking back to them. We ignored the obvious created nests on the ground and the twisted off trees and trees that were angled into X's and stuff. We just thought these were extraordinary acts of nature!! LOL our ignorance again. WE accidentally left our peanut butter jelly sandwich snacks in a sack on a old stump, went off to explore. Did not want to carry it around. When we came back, it was gone, replaced with sticks and rocks!! WE told our parents, who suggested we fed a homeless person. So each time we accessed the area, we left a "lunch" it was taken and in it's place we found these "little gifts"--this went on for about 10 years plus! WE went there about twice a year or so, never realizing we were entertaining at least ONE Big Foot. Gabby's story reminds me of our story--really cool. Finally glad to hear something similar to our story--and to know that not every encounter is threatening. These things can be nice to children who make friends with them. Apparently food is the way to communicate friend! Love the videos and stories Chris! Keep it up, will email you soon! Michelle from Oregon
Thanks for sharing the innocents of children my two boys are all grown up I wanted a daughter in general boys love there mom more than dad lol I wanted a daddy’s little girl don’t get me wrong of course I love my boys with all my heart both my brothers had boys except one of my brothers had a daughter and we spoil her she turned into a smart amazing young woman sorry for babbling my wife passed away from pancreatic cancer so I don’t have any body really to talk to my boys are grown up living there lives no grandchildren yet ugh sorry for babbling you probably think I’m a weirdo again I just loved your story it reminded me when my boys where young again thanks for sharing your amazing story god bless
@@JohnStepeck-et6pi You are not babbling at all, thanks for sharing. I am the eldest daughter of 4 siblings. Our mother passed in 2018 from cancer, and 17 other misdianosed medical ailments that led to her death. We all still miss her. I visit my Dad, her husband, to whom she was married to for over 56 years! I spend tqo days a week with him! We have a very close relationship. We were not as close when I was a kid due to a pedophile who attacked me when I was 9 years old and really hurt me. It took me years to recover from that--and almost being murdered and being buried alive. I guess that is why I had no fear of the rain forest stuff. I was always with my siblings, strength in numbers! Now at 61, I still have some PTSD, but am over what happened to me, and finally have a great relationship with my Dad! I treasure every moment I have with my 83, soon to be 84 year old Dad, was that too much information? I hope not. But I wanted you to know I get itt, as my brothers were also abused in school and do not have a close relationship with our father, and it hurts him to this day. One of my brothers is doing better and has a mended relationship with him. Do not give up on your relationship building. As long as you are alive and they are alive there is hope! God Bless you!!! Thank you for your sharing with me I’m so sorry what happened to you omg that is horrible if you ever want to talk to someone I’m a good listener what you been through at that age your so strong I think your a amazing person god bless you remember you always have god by your side god bless you from Connecticut
@@JohnStepeck-et6pi Bless you for understanding John, very few people do understand. I know the reason I am alive today is because God was with me, heard my cries, when I heard them planning to bury me, and I asked God to save me. I cried out to Him to let me live. I could not move, but I could hear this man speaking to his wife--she was ordering her son to dig my grave, talking angrily to her husband about "killing another one" and possibly having to move again--not being able to keep his hands to himself....then I began coughing, and spitting up, as I had vomitted and laying in it. At the same time, I heard my Dad outside in the street calling for me. The wife grabbed me, and dragged me to the bathroom, she cleaned me up. To dry me off quickly, she dragged me by the hair down the stairs to the kitchen, she turned on all the burners until they glowing red hot. She grabbed my arms at the elbows and held my hands over the burners, pushing me up close to them, my chest pushed up against the stove. She said to me "If you ever tell anyone, I will burn off your hands, and we will get your baby sister, (who was a toddler at the time) and I will burn her and we will bury her alive." It shocked me into total silence. When she released me, my Dad was about even with their house, calling for me, it was now dark outside, and I was late getting home. I ran from their back door, falling into the pit they dug for me, scrambling out, running out the back yard, and down their driveway. I ran into my Dad. Before I could tell him what had happened to me, he started yelling at me for being late for dinner, and spanked me really hard with a 12 inch long pine board, about 2 inches thick and 4 inches wide. He hit me so hard, I could not sit down on my bums for a week. We were also moving the next day from Portland to Gresham. I had a concussion. I was sent to bed without supper. My brothers remember I kept getting sick to my stomach, and acting funny--which made my parents mad at me. I remember a piece of bandanna still tied around my wrist from being tied to a bed when I was being tortured. I had blood in my underwear. I was so afraid, I washed the blood out of my underwear and did not tell a soul. Then I blanked it all out until I was 21--living on my own, being pressured to date--and started remembering. I was suicidal. I was suicidal in high school too, did not know why. But a very good mental health counselor told me I was suffering symptoms of being sexually abused for decades. My parents were ignorant about my symptoms. They never believed me when I tried to tell them what happened to me. They just spanked me. When I had to have surgery at age 47 for possible cancer and had a hysterectory, the surgeon found perculair "tool mark" scars on my cervix--being a virgin--he found physical evidence of my sex abuse that blew his mind. My Dad finally found out and cried his brains out. My mom still in denial, did not want to discuss it. My Dad finally apologized and believed my surgeon and my therapist and my MD. Finally the healing began for me mentally. By age 50 my depression finally lifted that I suffered from since age 9. I praise God for my recovery. I found a very awesome Church too. My Dad comes to church with me. WE are healed of this pain. That is my total story. Hope that was not too much for you. I share this with other victims, they find hope, and realize that they too, can go to college, hold down jobs, and rebuild relationships when they hear my story. So I do not mind now, since God uses my story to help others who are suffering too. I can be strong for them. God bless you John for listening. May you have a blessed Holiday Season! The smell is indicative of every big beast in the woods. “You’ll smell them before you see them” is true of black bear and moose, in my experience. Musty, like a wool sweater that’s always wet, combined with an ammonia-like scent.
And some people smell too. Please stop referring to him as the "creature" and "it". It's language like that causes folks to freak out and start shooting for no reason.
@@radhavasam yes, but I’m more talking about their filthy smell from being wild beast, romping in the mud and not having proper baths after pooping and such. You smell their filth.
I think the most unusual bigfoot encounter I have ever heard was the story a man relayed to, I think, Sasquatch Chronicles about a woman he met that was interacting with a bigfoot family that lived on her property. The woman told him that she and her family had interacted with the bigfoot for a very long time and she grew up with them. The crazy thing was that while he was at her house and she was telling him about her interactions with them a couple of juvenile bigfoot come out of a room in her house. He was flabbergasted at what he was actually seeing and she acted like it was completely normal. She explained that she watches the bigfoot children while they are gone hunting. Then, while he was there another bigfoot comes up to the door. This bigfoot was a young female and he explained that it looked like a grown adult woman with breasts and everything, but it was probably only 10 years old or so. The woman then answers the door and gives the bigfoot some cake or something she made. She went to explain to him that the bigfoot help her out around the property and she helps them by watching their children, etc... She said that they love to watch Spongebob Squarepants and she bought them Spongebob dolls and stuff to play with. After a while another bigfoot comes out of the tree line and it's the alpha male. He said the woman goes outside and starts talking to it in its language. He said it scared him really bad because the thing was so large the woman only came up to it's waist. When she came back inside she could tell he was scared and told him that there was nothing to be scared of and he was just a big teddy bear. After that he chose not to go over to her house anymore because he was just too freaked out. There is a lot more to the story he told, but that was the jist of it. I have read and listened to many encounters, but that one takes the cake.
Chris This is absolutely the best Bigfoot story ever I can see this as being a real thing Some people just have a gift with animals and people I’m guessing Gabby was like that Thanks for your great stories
That was the best sasquatch story i’ve heard, interesting on many different levels….the innocence of children at times can bring out a soft side to many species of animal…. and with this story, even the soft side of beings that appear to be interdimensional travelers such as the bigfoot /sasquatch described in this story.
I think little girls have a much better chance at having an encounter like this. I’ve heard so many account and when a young girl is involved it always a pretty close encounter of sorts. I can see this actually happening, actually the way you tell your stories I always feel like I’m there looking in from just outside the event. You are quite good sir. Keep it up and I love your choice of backdrops. They really set the mood.
Dear downdirty, I just finished reading your comment and I thought you might really enjoy reading the book , ‘The Girl With No Name: The Incredible True Story of a Child Raised by Monkeys. I read it quite a few years ago. It’s about a 4 year old girl who was abandoned in the forest of South America. She lived with a family of capuchin monkeys for 5 years before she was rescued. She is now 74 years old and has written this book about her life’s experience at the urging and with the help of her daughter.😊
As always, Great story!! I can't lie Chris, I always worry about you when you're out in these vast forests , by yourself!! Have fun, but most importantly Be Safe!! 🙏💚
As long as we are watching a video then this gentleman is okay. This time to worry is if the videos were to cease, especially if Mr England has announced future project/plans, which would indicate that he has no plan to quit UA-cam. Nevertheless, I am including him in my prayers.🇬🇧 🙏🏾😇🙏🏾🇬🇧
Mr Chris is brave he still goes into the deep woods to bring his viewers a scary story and doesn't ever forget those weird beer names. God bless you and family to all Mr Chris and fan viewers
Wow! What an experience for an 11-year-old boy!! Thank God this"creature" didn't hurt Gabby or Thomas.....It would have been very easy for that to have happened, especially when Thomas made the noise that caused the creature to become aware of his presence! Heart-stopping! Thanks for another great story! It really got dark where you were sitting, Chris. Good thing your car was fairly close so you could set up your tent right beside it! I personally would have slept in the car with all windows rolled up and doors locked!! Please stay safe out there! 👍😱
Thanks for another great story. Missing your real camping and adventuring. Break out that camper sometime and have a little campsite storytime. Take care and be safe.
This was one of the best stories I've ever heard, kept me on the edge of my seat, only disappointment was it had to end, would like to hear more encounters like this.
Base Camp Chris: You’re a master storyteller! This is like hearing deliciously creepy stories as told by Tom Wambsgans’ much nicer brother. Thanks for taking us along!
I knew this was going to be a good one when you forgot to pour your beer in the cup. It was extra creepy that you told it in a Maine forest, and you were not as relaxed as you usually seem (like pitching your tent next to the car). Anyway, I decided that even though I wish I could discuss the cool elements of the story, I will refrain, in case anyone reads comments before watching. I totally enjoyed this story and the way you told it, thank you for going to all the trouble to set the mood-it really paid off. I play with the Law of Attraction, and I used to collect ghost stories....so you can imagine that I went through some crazy stuff that no one would believe, and I did. I have no desire to meet any Sasquatch, Yetis, or Bigfoots........yet I can't seem to stop listening to your stories. I am even less likely to solo camp now, but at least I've been to the Sequoias and Yosemite. I've never wanted to go back to Yosemite because some tourist almost pushed me off a cliff next to a waterfall. The animals are the easiest to get along with, humans, not so much sometimes. Thank you for the wholesome and creepy entertainment.
Hi Chris. I've been falling asleep to your stories for weeks. You really should do an audible book. Would be amazing to listen to all the stories in that kind of way. Think it would be very popular. Take care Chris be safe bud. From the 🇬🇧 uk
Thank you Chris for your fascinating stories, your hiking trips, your knowledge of the wilderness and your apt sense of humor. I have just discovered your channel so am enjoying binging on your shows. Grew up on ghost stories, phantoms and things that go bump in the night. Now, add to that, a great love for all things wilderness. Love a good hike. Well done you for all your content~
Ive heard of another story of James Gillian from Eceti ranch feeding big foot apples. At his ranch there are a lot of UFOs flying above is house. James says Big Foot is a different beIng from another planet!! His channel is called Eceti Stargate and is very informative!! I also love this channel and always look forward to hearing these great stories!! Thank you Chris for being such a good story teller!!!
I am a new subscriber and found you this July 4th weekend! I love your stories by lantern light and look forward to my downtime to sit and listen! You’re a wonderful storyteller and thank you for bringing these stories into our lives!! Stay safe out there and God bless!! 😀
Hey man I love the scary stories in the woods you do! I live in East Tennessee, just a 30 minute drive from the Smoky Mountains!! You review videos has helped out a ton also!! Stay safe in the woods and keep camping bro
this is really amazing....more like a fairy tale than a horror story....but what is more amazing is that you tread those very tracks where people had experienced horror stuff....
Just AWESOME story telling !! Awesome... good thing I'm indoors ... !!!! You hooked me !!!! .....looking at a real world moster.... And Gabby ... precious soul
Redrum , that's hilarious. Great stories. Been listening to them for a week now. Stay safe ,I have to get back to my writing while I stay at this resort that has been shut down for the winter. Someone keeps tapping on my headboard while I am sleeping and I am only one here, I am getting a ax out tomorrow 😂😂
I live in Maine, great state. Loved the story. I dont consider it creepy at all. Children have an inner strength and knowledge we dont. God bless this little girl with a gift. Not many people would be able to do that. She's awesome.
Wow! Can you believe it! Maybe the little girl will view this video and make a comment. She should have offered that being a beer too! 🍺 Keep your head on a swivel and enjoy the outdoors. Thanks for sharing this cool story which creeped me out. Lea
Hi Chris, wow! I’m so excited since I found your videos. I have watched hours at night when I settle in. My husband drives a truck and is not home sometimes. So I’m just loving your story sharing. I love the woods and nature so your just a treasure to watch. I’ve told my daughters to watch with me and they are really liking them too.. thank you God bless and please stay safe out there
WOW!!! This was a really awesome true story !!! That lil girl was so dang brave !!! Poor Thomas was stuck up there with no way out!!! I'm glad BF didn't kill them both. So frightening!!! Thank you for this scary story !!!!
Hi Chris, thank you for another great story and greetings from Vermont! I'm a new subscriber and enjoy your content and video format! The local beer and food you include in your videos are very cool, and the stories by campfires are awesome! This one was so close to where my family used to go camping at Hermit's Island in Maine. I never saw a sasquatch there, but a fun nearby story. If you're looking for new places for scary stories, the Bennington Triangle in Vermont is very, very interesting. Anyway, thank you again for the great content!
Chris glad you have bear spray good move we don't want anything to happen to you your show is by far the best your a good guy keep the videos coming stay safe love your storys.
@@basecampchris I absolutely truly did enjoy them!! and I can’t wait to binge watch!! the rest of them, I try to watch three videos at a time! so hopefully I will always have something to watch LOL!! Hello 👋 Chris, greetings from Northern California. Thank you for sharing another 5 star **** video drama. My next outing, I will play some of your 5 ***** videos for my camping 🏕 friends. Stay safe 🤗
wow, BC Chris. i haven't commented in a while. i don't like creepy stories. i have gone back and watched your video's on hiking, kitchen, sleeping, set up, you know all the good stuff. I live in Florida.( the safest state in the country, my opinion, due to the state of the country right now) but in a year from now, i am loading up the motorcycle, and heading west. i am going to Arizona, or Nevada, and i am going to spend my senior years gold mining. crazy right? but i appreciate your equipment videos so i will be prepared to make this long camping trip west. thanks again for what you do. oh yeah, just walking through a forest at night is scary enough for me. jeepers!! until next time, be safe.
Wow!!! I sure wish I was on a bike with them to see that !! Thanks for another great story going to find another one be careful out there !! Bye and nite nite!!
Just stumbled in on your channel while drinking the same beer you’re sippin in the video, subbed on that fact alone! Enjoying your posts so far, thank you!
Always a good tale! Wild creatures seem to sense if something or someone is a danger to them. Always carry some potato chips with you as well as your bear spray.
I have a few 4 of these that will play in a row, But I take the time to hit thumbs up. Its been 2 weeks since I have hiked, it's getting cold now, and that needs adjusting to. With love, and respect. Wes Sept

That’s amazing and proves that they’re kind hearted and gentle unless provoked
And a great one it is!

My ammonia, u mean piss smell?
Can always smell elk before you see them.
And some people smell too. Please stop referring to him as the "creature" and "it". It's language like that causes folks to freak out and start shooting for no reason.
It is the glands under the armpit that gives out small in stress.
No, I think it was the bigfoot that took the cake.
Bro what episode was this? 🤯
@@rocketta.chique5761 episode 419 of Sasquatch Chronicles and another good one is episode 500 of The Confessionals
*Hits blunt*
Jebb true I have heard it to .
This has been my favorite story so far!🤣 This could be made into a movie...👍I love that it was her friend "cousin"!
I can't help that was a cute reaction, "hmm maybe" from Gabby when she doesn't know it's bigfoot or not. Like she's so chill about all this lol
Chris i am hooked on your base camp stories. Please keep them coming. Steve from over the pond.
Chris
This is absolutely the best Bigfoot story ever
I can see this as being a real thing
Some people just have a gift with animals and people
I’m guessing Gabby was like that
Thanks for your great stories
Like Steve Irwin and crocodiles or Dian Fossey and gorillas.
🙏💚
Yes
Ikr
As long as we are watching a video then this gentleman is okay.
This time to worry is if the videos were to cease, especially if Mr England has announced future project/plans, which would indicate that he has no plan to quit UA-cam. Nevertheless, I am including him in my prayers.🇬🇧 🙏🏾😇🙏🏾🇬🇧
I am always concerned too. His story telling is super though !!!
He has the one thing that scares bigfoot- a camera
Mr Chris is brave he still goes into the deep woods to bring his viewers a scary story and doesn't ever forget those weird beer names. God bless you and family to all Mr Chris and fan viewers
Wow! That was an incredible story.
Love your story telling and enthusiasm for not just the stories but the atmosphere you tell them in.
Great story! I think this was the creepiest yet! Too bad he could not get in contact with Gabby later in life and ask how long this went on for.
Me too car camping not a tent after that intense story, no protection in a tent from anything em I right
Thanks for another great story. Missing your real camping and adventuring. Break out that camper sometime and have a little campsite storytime. Take care and be safe.
Yeah not done with the camper,.
@@basecampchris im a brand new subscriber. Please keep the campfire stories, you are an amazing story teller with great stories 😍
Ooooh that creepy music.
Love it!
Cheers mate.
This was one of the best stories I've ever heard, kept me on the edge of my seat, only disappointment was it had to end, would like to hear more encounters like this.
Always look forward to your stories! That lantern rocks!
Glad you like them! Thanks!
Glad you mentioned checking for sign while hiking, camping spots etc…
Great story Chris.
Thanks 👍
Just discovered your channel a couple of months ago and I'm watching past episodes! Love it ! Thank you for another entertaining story!
Awesome! Thank you Eileen!
And these stories are all TRUE, which is the best part !!!
Base Camp Chris:
You’re a master storyteller!
This is like hearing deliciously creepy stories as told by Tom Wambsgans’ much nicer brother.
Thanks for taking us along!
Wow, thanks!
Great story, Chris. These adventures are endlessly entertaining. The creepy accounts always draw me in.

I've heard of another story from Maine about girl who became friends with a whole family of them in the 60's. She still stays in touch with them.

Love the stories and the beer with matching theme! Lol!

this is really amazing....more like a fairy tale than a horror story....but what is more amazing is that you tread those very tracks where people had experienced horror stuff....
Just AWESOME story telling !!
Awesome... good thing I'm indoors ...

You hooked me !!!!
.....looking at a real world moster....
And Gabby ... precious soul
That was perfect background music for your story Chris.
That has to be one of the coolest Bigfoot stories I have ever heard. Frankly, I don't think anybody else can top that. Thanks for sharing it!

I live in Maine, great state. Loved the story. I dont consider it creepy at all. Children have an inner strength and knowledge we dont. God bless this little girl with a gift. Not many people would be able to do that. She's awesome.
Buxton, Maine here! Sounds like something a Mainer would do! Lol😂❤

Love the creepy stories in the forest. I always want to drink an unusual beer listening to you. Thanks Chris. God Bless!

You're welcome 😊
wow, BC Chris. i haven't commented in a while. i don't like creepy stories. i have gone back and watched your video's on hiking, kitchen, sleeping, set up, you know all the good stuff.
These videos are gold, stay safe brother and thank you, peace and love from Manchester, England.
Thanks Chris and keep hiking.

The BEST storyteller!
Keep the stories coming bro loving it
Thank yo Ramiro! More to come!
Thank you for your stories. Love from New Zealand
I have a few 4 of these that will play in a row, But I take the time to hit thumbs up. Its been 2 weeks since I have hiked, it's getting cold now, and that needs adjusting to. With love, and respect. Wes Sept
Chris,
I truly like your approach with the way you lead into reciting the stories, that you do. Picking just the "perfect" setting, close to cool running creek and amongst the appropriate cover. Priceless.
Thanks for all you do!
Keep on keeping on Brother.
Godspeed.
Loving all the stories keep them coming ❤️👍🇬🇧
Thank you Teresa!! will do.
