I gotta tell you, Base Camp Chris, you are the only person on UA-cam who just sits and talks to the camera that holds my attention and keeps me listening to the very end. You are a good story teller. I can tell you enjoy "running your mouth." Thanks.
Chris is a good storyteller and doesn’t curse compared to some of the other storytellers but curse a lot. That’s what I like about Chris, your grandchildren can watch. Thanks for that 😊
In the woods, on the side of a dark road with a rain storm telling scary stories. Gotta LOVE this guy!!! What a great nack for making us viewers feel like we were "all there". A talent few have these days. WOW!
I have a friend who has a cabin on 40 acres in Grass Valley. His property backs up to National forest. He told us a story about a creature making a noise that he had never heard before. He hears Mt Lion screams and other sounds at night echoing through the forest, but he has never heard this kind of sound in his life. It sounded like an ape call. He said the hair on his neck stood up. I looked up Big foot vocalizations and played it for him. "Is this what you heard?, I asked. He said yes, "what is that?" I guess you have a big foot on your property!
Love this channel! Being from Scotland we take for granted being able to just cut loose and walk the wilderness with no concerns for wildlife at all. I spent some time working in Southern Georgia: Couldn't believe the amount of different varieties of dangerous wild animals that lived in the wild ... Big Cats, Gators, Bears, Wolves etc. One evening I had naively decided upon taking a hike in the woods. At that one of my concerned workmates informed, "Buddy, you don't walk the woods alone here - there are too many things lurking in the shadows that'll do you harm!" I took his advice. Yup, there's no wild animals of concern in Scotland: That said, it's a very haunted country. As a former Cop of 31 years I've experienced things here that would turn your hair grey...
@@tomwilliams3581 I did look it up. They call it the Greyman . I love these types of stories. Here in Florida he is known as the Skunk Ape. I hope he keeps his passport up to date.
Same here in Wales, beautiful but no dangerous wildlife. When I was a little girl, my father spun me a story about the vicious wild haggises of Scotland with two short legs on one side and two long legs on the other so they could run easily on a mountainside. We went to the Highlands on holiday and I spent the whole week looking out for those haggises 🤣
I live in Naples, on the edge of Big Cypress Forest! 25 years ago, it was very rural, my closest neighbor was 1 mile away! There is plenty of wildlife here, actually had a panther come within 10 ft of me, in my backyard. Had a scary experience of something Large walking on my back porch very early in the morn! just as i got to look out the back window, to see what it was, Gun In Hand! it looked right back at ME!!!! it was a neighbors horse! LOL scared the crap out of me! Anyway heard lots of stories of things seen, and heard, But not by me!

I realize I’m late with this, but I just saw the video. There is a park not too far from me in Sarasota Florida. It’s called Myakka State Park. The Rangers say they have more sightings of Bigfoot than they do bears from people camping there. Love your videos!
I agree... don't risk your life to tell your stories! Sitting in your car still had a scary vib and so much safer. Obviously you are a talented story teller and why risk injury! Love what you do and be safe always.
A person can stay in there car. Both Dogman and Bigfoot have the capabilities of opening and closing car door or the doors on a home. Many people are oblivious to what these cryptids can do. Many people refuse to acknowledge what these creatures can do. They can pop locks on car door, open up a refrigerator or kitchen cabinets. They have studied you for a long, long time; they also know all your habits. They know your individual smell and where you live. People that eat meat and fish give off the worse smell than someone who doesn't.
My mother always told us kids as we were growing up about her father telling all the kids stories all the time. My aunts and uncles, Mom's siblings really enjoyed it. 🎉
Chris, I grew up in California camping and hiking. I’ve encountered bears, mountain lions and things. After I was 50 I moved to the Gulf coast of Florida. It’s a weird and creepy place all on it’s own. Missing the PNW and Sierras more and more. Thanks for the great story telling.
I did see one vehicle behind you. 👵 Another great story - rather you be safe in a car than out in the dark! You know you are a good storyteller when we listen to you just as intently in a vehicle. LOL. You rock - keep it up 🍻
I love hearing you tell these stories, but I'm so glad you decided not to sit in that dark bear infested forest. Keep the stories coming, but please stay safe. Especially since these creatures do exist. I grew up in North Carolina, in a place you call the foothills, bottom of the mountains. we used to hear on the news about big foot being spotted up in our mountains.
Thought I'd listen to a good story from you before dinner. You had mentioned at the end that there wasn't any other vehicles this night you're telling the story but at about time index 18:30 there's what looks like car lights behind you - one red and one green light. This certainly added to the ambiance of your story, and I too think you're very brave out there in the dark, alone. I mean, first you see a bear on the way there for goodness sakes and I'm sitting here thinking "is this a sign" ;-) Oh! and that unusual pile of branches in the beginning looks like a Bigfoot next to me 😲
What’s pretty amazing, is the fact that stories like you shared today happen so frequently and widespread that it’s hard to understand why we don’t have better evidence of Sasquatch. The other consideration is, for every story like the one you shared (from someone willing to share their encounter), there are probably another 5-6 that haven’t shared their story with anyone for fear of ridicule. Even the specifics of the story you shared with being in a trailer, I’ve lost count of how many similar reports I’ve heard.

I was stationed at 29 palms MCB, some time back. At the time, we would hear while on bivouac "don't run in the desert at nite, or yucca man will get you!" Thought it was a old wives tale, till I'd heard enough testimony.
Great story, that has always been a fear of mine, looking through a window and someone looking directly back at me. I would probably be under the covers crying too. P.S. loved hearing “pop in the coolers”, lol (from a fellow Minnesotan).
After seeing the old Twilight Zone episode where the guy lifted up the shade on the airplane and that beast was right there looking at him just inches away, that freaked me out to this day. I never look out a window at night now.

BCC you are a great storyteller without the harsh language. I truly appreciate all the hiking and videoing of the area you take. My sister lives in San Ramone, Cali and they go to Tahoe a lot at least 2 or 3 times a yr.maybe more but we fly out about every 5 yrs and all go to Tahoe. That place is beautiful. We actually were on our way up to Tahoe 2016 and of course the men were going to the casino and us ladies went for a nice long hike on the trails up there and Lord and behold we had a fright, thought it was something pretty large make all kinds of noise from growling to almost sounding like a monkey. Oh my goodness. Great story. I used to live in Naples. Back in the 90s us teens use to drive out in the same vicinity you described. It was truly out there. Nothing but dirt roads and our only worry was not to get stuck in the sugar sand. No stories to tell I'm afraid. We just wanted a place to go party where we didn't think the cops would show up. Makes me wonder what was watching us!

Hi Chris this is Ed from Georgia I've never seen a plant like that either I have hunted all my life it's different also I like the story about the young boys you have a good one man
Yeah, Chris, good thing you were in your car instead of wandering around at night with the neighborhood bear! Love the stories and don’t want to see you featured on “Scary Bear Stories”! 😉
I am up by Tampa, the whole of central florida is swamp. They have filled parts of it to build homes and turned swamp into small lakes and ponds. There have been sightings all around the area.
Wow, great story, I lived in Naples for 12 yrs, used 2 camp out a lot & camp out on all the islands. I wouldn't do it again, knowing what I know now. We even camped in Flamingo which is way down in the Everglades, ended up sleeping in the truck all nite bcuz of mosquitos were so bad & tent started leaking. Love your channel, thx
I'm from central Florida and had a similar experience when I was a kid in Pasco County Florida 30 years ago. Except no howling, it was right on top of us when we heard the first limb break. I'd describe the same behavior. You could hear it pull up what I could only think was palmetto bushes and it was throwing them, you could hear the dirt showering the brush. We ran and got in the car and took off. After we got our nerve back we went back and shined the headlights of the car on the spot it happened but couldn't see anything. I'd say it could have been a bear or hog but I'm telling you without a doubt it was throwing things.
Hi Chris. I don't want to spook you, but at 18:30 there are a pair of red eyes looking in your window! On another note; as a teenager, I did a lot of camping in the Everglades with my buddies, and what I think the kids in the trailer saw was a Wooly Bugger. They are annoying but if you toss them an RC Cola and a Moon Pie they'll take it and go away. 😀 Thanks for another great tale.
This is also Gator Ally! And where my Wife and I seen a Skunk Ape! We we're driving to Key West and it was just getting dark! About 7:30-8:00 pm, and we both said "Oh My God!! Honey!" The most unbelievable ordeal I have ever seen in my 62 years! My Word Folks!
Chris, you crack me up...you just decided to pull off the road in the middle of the night just a little down the road from the bear you saw...🤣🤣🤣🤣 Lmao....Gotta love you ❤❤❤ I love Naples, FL. Always have. Not sure HOW it happened, ( I think I was sick) but I missed this video. 🤔🤔🤔👀👀👀👀
This one IS GOOD!! I was "spooked", to say the LEAST!! 😳 I'm a new subscriber, just found your channel recently and am enjoying your stories very much!
Very nice story to hear while I am safe in my two story house with my alarm system , and outside lights on. That house trailer walls are pretty flimsy, not much protection from that creature that they enticed with their wolf calls. I don't think I myself would want for some creature to know that i am out there in the dark by giving out a primal call., basically saying, "Here I am, Come find me". Thanks Chris for taking the time to produce this very interesting scary tale that goes bump ( more like a wild call) in the night.
I lived in Naples, FL 1995-1999 and the swamps East of the City were a blast to explore in a 4x4 with my girl. No ManSquatch out there did we encounter BUT there were some weird encounters. My name is Pete...and I knew a guy named Dustin back in 2010😮
You are such a good Storyteller and have such a great narration voice... you do not need the sound effects. Keep it real arround the campfire, feels like we are there with you. Keep up the good work!
@6:03 -- This screams "Nest" or "Bed" to me. This is for sleeping on. Unless you're a small animals, it's not a hiding spot... Bizarre. But then there's weird stuff spotted in Florida all the time. I once saw a dead armadillo by the side of the road near the Walt Disney World Resort.
Wow Chris when you spring a bear you source out a pretty big one. The lady didn't seem too worried. Breat story as always mate. Thanks for the vlog hope you had a good Easter holiday. Bushyboy Oz.
First rule of Sasquatch: don’t poke the Sasquatch👣. My parents had a winter home 🏡 in Naples 🌴for years that I visited once. That is the creepiest place I’ve ever been and will never go back. That goes for the Everglades also. I think those boys encountered a curious Sasquatch 👣. Still really really scary. 👍☮️🌞👣🩵
you know you got a real knack for being a stories teller, I love all of them. i get so into them it's like I'm right there watching!! lol. don't ever stop man. you know you should think about meeting with some of the local Indian tribes in some of the areas you go and find out and maybe do some of the older Indian chief's stories? they have some amazing stories! but idk, I just thought id put that out there, see what you thought. i love what you do now, I wasn't trying to say it wasn't good enough, keep it up, man. I'm gonna watch another right now!! lol.
A really chilly story. Up close and almost touching their tormentor at the window. Just one observation: Chris was so involved with the narration, saying where he had parked that no other car had passed by. During his telling, I had noticed behind him there were moving lights on the road at about 18:30. But only of one vehicle.
I gotta tell you, Base Camp Chris, you are the only person on UA-cam who just sits and talks to the camera that holds my attention and keeps me listening to the very end. You are a good story teller. I can tell you enjoy "running your mouth." Thanks.

I’m up where the Florida Gators 🐊 reside in the swamp 🤪. Love love love Tampa and Clearwater all the way down the coast to Ft. DeSoto. 🧜♀️🏝️🐠
Another great tale Chris! Some things just can’t be explained.
Indeed! Thanks Steve.
So glad I’ve just discovered your channel. Love the fireside stories and scenery. Just subscribed. Best of luck Chris from Ireland 🇮🇪
Awesome! Thank you!
Awesome! Thank you!
Wow! One was red, and the other was white!
🤔. 🤭. 👍
Did you know that animals eyes glow various colors at night when light hits then. Red is not uncommon for a wild animals eyes to shine.
I'll look for that! Thanks!
Lol that was a vehicle😂😂😂
@@butterfliesarefreetofly6964 Some people r just silly! " Wow ! I saw red eyes looking in" !
🤣🤣🤣. Goofballs !
Good job Chris. You stayed in your car and stayed safe.🎉 Keep those story's coming. Loving them😅
Hey Chris I love your story telling. You are the best😊
Interesting Alan - if you'd like to send your full story I'm at basecampchris2@gmail.com
Watching from Manitoba Canada 🇨🇦
Cool...I love Canada....from Minnesota.
Scary but so funny the way you tell the boys discussing it.
What a great story!!! It literally gave me chills!!!! Well done!!!! 👍
Chris, you crack me up...you just decided to pull off the road in the middle of the night just a little down the road from the bear you saw...🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lmao....Gotta love you ❤❤❤
I love Naples, FL.
6:10 That's no plant!!! That's a Bigfoot toupee!
LOL....or a BF queen bed.
I absolutely love your channel! I just found it and I'm so hooked!! You are awesome!
Whenever I get anxious on one of my trips, I always tell myself I'm the scariest thing in the forest. Everything out here fears *ME*.
Keep up the outstanding videos/awesome stories Sir....
Hey Chris, great channel bro, you have really good stories ! Your a brave soul to go into those woods and forests man 👍🏼
I love your stories, and you are such a great guy😊
I love your stories. I used to tell stories to my younger siblings, would scare myself. Thing is I made them up so I knew the ending.
Good memories.
I live in naples Florida this story hit me in a very personal level.
Imagine how handsome this guy looking out the window had to be to look like a mirror image of a Big Foot xD
I lived in Naples, FL 1995-1999 and the swamps East of the City were a blast to explore in a 4x4 with my girl.
No ManSquatch out there did we encounter BUT there were some weird encounters.
My name is Pete...and I knew a guy named Dustin back in 2010😮
I really like the sound effects you add to your video's. Makes it seem like you're right there.
Thanks 👍Ewen!
No driving through the Everglades at night!!
Love it! Probably the best story so far, keep it up love your channel.
Glad you enjoy it!
you know you got a real knack for being a stories teller, I love all of them. i get so into them it's like I'm right there watching!! lol. don't ever stop man. you know you should think about meeting with some of the local Indian tribes in some of the areas you go and find out and maybe do some of the older Indian chief's stories? they have some amazing stories! but idk, I just thought id put that out there, see what you thought. i love what you do now, I wasn't trying to say it wasn't good enough, keep it up, man. I'm gonna watch another right now!! lol.
Appreciate it...That's n interesting idea. Thanks.
A really chilly story. Up close and almost touching their tormentor at the window. Just one observation: Chris was so involved with the narration, saying where he had parked that no other car had passed by. During his telling, I had noticed behind him there were moving lights on the road at about 18:30. But only of one vehicle.
I had an ornamental grass plant in my yard and it would look like that plant, much smaller sized, when it died off at the end of the season.
Just happened to come across your channel and I love it. Watched a few stories and this one was like WOW!
Glad you enjoy it! Thanks!
You have a flair for telling a story and giving it the jump scare feeling, I hope you will keep doing stories
I really like the stories by the campfire at night.....but i understand the concern for safety.
Wow another great story Thank you for sharing!
Awesome - Thanks Dana!
Sh*t this story was much scarier than I was expecting it to be. Thank you.
Love how you See Gaia’s cool art formations like I do; as well as your taste in beer. Thanks Chris and All
I hope your careful and alert when your out there Chris
