I do not know about all other benefits, but walking almost 10k steps a day(slowly trying to reach 10k goal) helps me sleep like a baby. It is a bliss, also helps me wake mindfully, no snoozing of alarm or feeling crappy.
Okay okay, you have convinced. I live a sedentary life averaging about 3000 steps a day. From tomorrow I will start to walk 10,000 steps. I will post my update on a weekly basis.

@@samantha4130 I have tried it. 1 walked about 9500 to 10000 steps for 5 days and rested for 2 days because my body seemed to tire. My entire body felt refreshed and mind became fresher as if being washed by some vital fluid. Though I can't say he directly led to weight loss. It can't, in itself lead to weight loss that much significantly, but if coupled with improved eating habit(eat less or OMAD or something), it really does lead to drastic differences.
@@samantha4130 It has been scientifically proven that physical activity reduces mortality rates significantly. It is enough for you to walk every day to improve it by at least 30 percent, compared to a person who is not active at all.

if it is without any break or 2-3 break then it's beneficial,...your heart pump lungs expand we take more breathing... it's possible only continuous walking
10,000 steps = 5 miles, that's a lot of miles (I googled it). How many of us can or want to walk 5 miles in a day? I can only do 2 miles.
I do , in fact I walk 15 k steps each day, the trick is to break it down in do able chunks rather than one huge marathon of 15 k, start after breakfast for about 4-4.5 k, post lunch another 4 - 4.5 k and the last one give it all you have got. Before you know it, you will easily hit the 15 k mark! Good luck.
