Thanks for the kind words OtakuNation78; much appreciated! I probably will have to put faction focus videos on puase for a bit as the Pariah Nexus update just upset the game's balance massively. I'm expecting GW to fix this by introducing balance passes in the months ahead so making guides that may become obsolete within a quarter is risky. I'll perhaps focus more on tips and tricks, unboxing vids, DIY terrain, and probably battle reports. ^_^ Will resume with faction focus videos once GW fixes this fiasco.
@@OtakuNation78 Thanks again! Yeah the community is doing a grand job keeping it alive. The LVO guys are doing a stellar job balancing the game (while GW wrecks it haha). Have you heard about Commanders International? That's also one fascinating rules packet. I've yet to pore over it though. In our local group, some of us are homebrewing rules but we've to err on the side of making homemade tactics more expensive than GW-made one so no one can say we're making the factions OP. We've yet to to test them though. With my homebrewed tactics, my aim is to make the forgotten, low-tier factions win at least 40-50% of the matches; just making them viable. I've started with the Servants of the Abyss.
@@PPPointyEars I haven't checked out Commanders at all, its a struggle enough to get people to play the base game here so I'm just painting and list building most of the time. Would love to get a solid group that could homebrew eventually but for now it's definitely still in the personal hobby territory.
@@OtakuNation78 Yeah that makes sense. Introducing a lot to a group when you're just convinving them to play might TMI your friends. I started out teaching my wife 50-point Kill Teams. I didn't introduce specialisms and we only played the most basic Kill Team mission (Covert War; the one on p41 of the Core Manual). Hmm I should do a video on how to ease new players into Kill Team...
Great video, but i feel like you don't need Heavy specialist, since his ability doubles Inexorable advance, and extra shot Heavy tactic is equivalent to hit reroll tactic, taking a Veteran makes more sense since pre-move can give you some tactical advance (KT campaign is different, Heavy has some cool level up perks)
Makes sense though our local meta is very melee-heavy. Making a gunner a Veteran is a very risky affair in our local circles. We also usually take Steadfast as the Death Guard so pushing gunners forward isn't something I usually do. Thanks for the compliment Nick NV! @@PPPointyEars I'm just glad people are still putting effort into Kill Team content, if it weren't for that the game would have died off long ago
