The DMV in California seems like a huge nightmare. In Iowa you barely have to wait when you go there!
I got my Real ID Illinois Licence and ID card in less than 15 minutes . that includes the time it took to fill out Gender change form and the Lady in Dmv was quick .

The real ID's real stupidity is that when they require a number of documents from an applicant, besides that they don't know the parameters of some of those required documents (like SSN for example), if your first name on the utility bill shows Steve, but your Passport shows Steven, you are not eligible for real ID, but you can board a plane with your passport and... here is another one - you still can get a standard driver licence that doesn't have a star or a flag, but you cannot board a domestic flight. I wonder, what kind of Real idiots are behind this Real ID joke?
Good thing I don't travel much at all anywhere further than AZ. I'm sticking with the old card.

Hello i just, its really hard to get an id or dl with all the fake now. My friend direct me to a vendor i order for 4 ID and 6 DL from them and the id and dl was delivery to me with in 2 working days, they are the most perfect when it come to fake documents, contact them on (plus 0ne) (four, zero, two) (seven, eight, two) (One, Two, six, nine)

It’s all I need.
You won't need an ID then. You DON'T need to have one. I might be flying to Germany in a few years, and all I'll need is my passport. I don't like the idea, that the government can spy on you, pick you out of a huge crowd of people because you had left them scan your face, when you received your card. After they scan you, they can find you; doesn't matter where you are, on the face of this planet. NO ID for me! People with ID's will be more intergraded into the world system. You don't have to believe me; do what you want. Someday, you will be saying "That guy was right".

ridiculous..! it takes months now? lol. that is why I moved to Canada. I got my DL in less than a week.
They do not have real ID in Canada and are you a citizen of Canada? In Canada you apply for a passport for the country you are a citizen of. So, guess you do not have a passport and if not how did you get across the border?
I won't get one, if I ever get a ticket I guess I can't challenge it since I can't go into a court house. Also I thought the SS# is not to be used as identification?
The court you would go to would not be federal it would be your local county, city or state court, that just applies to federal, nice try though.

WE NEED ONE FEDERAL DMV. STATE DMVs ARE A SERIOUS SERVICE ISSUE.
HOW ABOUT PASSPORT + FEDERAL DRIVER'S CERTIFICATION CARD/PAGE STICKER?
Some of them DMV Staff be having attitudes and neglect to process documents as promptly as they should be. Why can't these DMV Staff admit when they screw up. This is peoples lives that is being played with. Why can't we just get it all done online and get our Driver's License / Real ID in the mail rather than have to set foot in a DMV office and deal with Staff with bad attitudes.

The elderly or catching it we're United States citizens why isn't it the other away around? For those who weren't born here?? This is twisted??
A person can get on any airplane in the world with a passport and it is easier to get. California is the most screwed up state I know of there are others I do not know of. And to top that off you can get a passport card to fly domestic flights. It just proves that you are a citizen of the USA. And if a person is not they can walk.

THAT REALID/REALLICENSE IS NOT REAL. IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE REAL GOLD PAINT, NOT YELLOW INK. AND THERE IS ONLY ONE DESIGN BECAUSE IT'S A FEDERAL ID, NOT S STATE ID WITH CONCOMMITANT STATE MARKINGS. FED ID, LIKE A DOMESTIC PASSPORT. GET IT?
