I see something key each time I watch you coaching U turns. Downloaded your RLP video & ordered some markers so I could improve my practice time. Still have a ways to go but I’m determined. Thanks Jerry!
Good class, just got first bike a c50 20k miles, practiced and practiced. These aggressive turns great because likely when you get in bind you'll have to make instinctual moves.
HarleyDayRider I do have a training location in PA, Reedsville to be exact. If you go to my website, www dot ridelikeapro dot com, click on the "TRAINING LOCATIONS" tab from the home page, scroll down, find your PA location, sign up for a class with the owner/instructor, Shane Eckert and learn how to really ride your motorcycle.
@@phillipvazquez284 I have two locations in PA...one in the Pittsburgh area, one in the Hershey PA area...go to my website, www.ridelikeapro.com click on TRAINING LOCATIONS from the home page, boom, there ya go.
The trick is, and I struggled with it in my MSF course, head up, look at where you wish to end up, use proper counterweight and friction control. I told my instructor I'm going to master the double u-turn in the box, and I'm getting better.
The MSF's goal is to turn out amateurs. My goal is to turn out professionals. And I show exactly how the pro's do it in my Ride Like A PRO VIDEO. Step by step.
That's why I'm watching your videos, I want to do it better than MFS's standards. I also watch a lot of motorcycle police competitions. I noticed they really snap their heads around, like you were instructing. Thanks for putting out these videos.
I really like your lessons and the progress that the people at your driving lessons achieve.....i would love to be a part of this training but to fly to america from europe is to expensive
Great videos ... Jerry, always the dip and make it aggressive ... can you give me a very detailed explanation why this why this makes the difference and how it works? Can i also ask "head and eyes is the way to go we hear from all ... but if we are in tighter maneuvers looking away from multiple targets will take our eyes from the course we want?? Thanks John.
Detailed? Don't over think it. Head and eyes works because your hands follow your eyes. You find the spot you want to put your front tire, when your 3 ft or so from that spot, turn your head and eyes and find the next spot, and repeat. Since your bike is moving, you can't linger your focus on that spot. In the u-turn the dip put's the chassis into the proper motion and gives you a little momentum. You can do it without the dip, but it's more difficult. So why not do it the easy way.
Man this makes me miss the States. I haven't ridden in about 15 years now have to pass the Israeli motorcycle test to get my license over here. It would be worth it for me on my next visit to the States to take a course. Because the instruction over here is minimal. I originally passed the PA State Police course in Penna. Where is Jerry located?
This is motorman, I'm located in Hudson Florida, I teach my classes in New Port Richey. I have training locations across the USA, Japan and Indonesia..from the home page of my website, www.ridelikeapro.com click on TRAINING LOCATIONS tab, scroll down the page and find a location next time you're over to the USA.
How do I list in this class with the pro I have been practicing in Walmart parking at night with and without passenger but I feel I'm only teaching myself bad habits even though I feel like I can out ride all my buddies duck walking thank u for the videos
+Eli I'm trying to get another Ride Like a Pro location out in California....If you know any motor officers, retired or active duty that would like to open a location out there, please send them my way!
I've seen most of your videos and actually took the class in Maryland twice. The techniques that you teach work. I practice frequently. The one thing that I don't recall you mentioning is counterbalancing. What are your thoughts? Thanks.
+Black Cat Bobbers It doesn't matter what bike you ride, if you can do this on a Sporty, you can do it on a Road King. The techniques work on every two wheeled vehicle.
Hello Jerry my husband and I are really considering coming from Chicago to Florida to take your classes we both have Indians can we rent bikes there or is it a must for us to get our bikes from Chicago to Florida? Are there hotels nearby? I was also thinking of staying for 2 days to got advanced riding. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Rauni...of course there are hotels/motels nearby, and yes, you can rent motorcycles at Eagle Rider rentals, etc. I teach my class at Gulf High School in NEW PORT RICHEY FLORIDA...do a google on hotels/motels in the New Port Richey area...
@@motorman857 The problem is the same as BMW and Guzzi, engine crank direction in the bike. Clutch and throttle throw the bike over or upright mid manoeuvre. I'll keep trying. :)
@@@mjolinor- Do you see a problem with the ''engine crank direction'' ''throwing the bike upright in mid maneuver'' in this link? ua-cam.com/video/MQA_1mDirog/v-deo.html
That's not me riding and the bike isn't forty years old and the guy is a better rider than I am anyway. It is as much a matter of quick reactions as much as anything and those I don't have being an old git.
If you lean a Harley touring motor enough, you don't need to turn full lock to turn in 18ft. To do the same in 15ft, you will need to hit full lock for a split second.

It's mind over body. My mind says yes, my body says no.
"My Mind's telling me no, but my body, my body's telling me yeaaaah!" =P
Man that dude would not stop putting his foot down! I felt like duct taping it to the floorboard.
Really great

very impressive. I am going to practice this next Saturday. How hard are these maneuvers on a super sport bike??
William....if it has two wheels, the techniques work. Master the three techniques and you'll soon become the riding envy of your group.
