We have the Swift elegance 850 2022 caravan which has alot of the same features as your motorhome, we have hired a motorhome to go away in in a few weeks because our van is on a seasonal pitch,and it's a lot of work to take the Awning down just for a week away. Hopefully picking up our 2022 KT 794 next week! Why do they always get the reverse polarity thing wrong on the Sargent. It indicates live and neutral reversed on the mains supply. Common in France. Its not an issue unless you go poking about the electrics with it all turned on. However it's simple enough to make up a little adaptor using a 3 pin male and female EHU plug and a short piece of cable and wire the plug with live and neutral reversed to correct the polarity. I also carry one of those little plug in testers to check for earth faults before plugging in TV microwave etc.
How exciting as its a great van, yes you get the little niggles here and there but i've not had to many in this van. As for the reverse polarity i've not experienced any issues so all good. I think what he was trying to say about the Sargent and the reverse polarity is the unit has a button to push if the polarity is reversed however i maybe wrong 😂😂 Happy Travels
Glad you two guys had a good handover from lowe and Rhodes, when Trevor delivered our new motorhome it came without the two tvs as promised, reversing camera screen not fitted, and no locker key, and they didn't want to help at all, they had got there money so why bother. Sorry could not recommend lowe and Rhodes.
as a newby is there any way to get a ramp for under the bed in the garage to get a mobility scooter in because i am thinking off getting one off them,,,,, pluss is there any think that you have to do for winter.
Hi, we are not sure what ramp would be needed for a mobility scooter as we haven’t needed to try this for ourselves however you can get foldable ramps for motorcycles to go up into the garage so with some online searching we are sure there would be something out there. Sorry, we can’t help further with that one. For winter months we can help with from our experience - We always drain down our waste and fresh water tanks and boiler after every trip. Just incase we have a freeze, this will help prevent damage to your water pipes and boiler. If not using the motorhome for a few weeks keep an eye on the vehicle and leisure battery as they can naturally drain a little so a trickle charger or plugging the motorhome in to mains every so often helps with the batteries health. Also taking the motorhome for a drive helps keep everything running smoothly. The best thing is to use your motorhome every so often in the winter as it's a lovely quieter time of year and surprisingly cozy with the heating on. If this is not possible and you won’t be using the motorhome for some months over winter do as above but with the batteries isolate them so the power drain is very minimal and remove bedding, towels, clothes, food.
