Thank you for your experiences. I have tried acupuncture for muscular pain and also for PCOS and really found amazing results which Im still benefitting from several years later. I just stumbled upon your channel. I am 55 and have had hormonal issues all my life, luckily enough for me I have begun to research and come to realize that I too must have PCOS. I can't afford a naturopath but since my GP won't test me for anything.. I like many women including yourself, take their own health into their own control. I am in Canada too (West Coast) I am about to start to take EstroSmart - now called CycleSmart - plus stuff for adrenal fatigue and thyroid support. As well as L -Carnitine as I am overweight and all the dieting and exercise I've ever done hasn't budged this weight I carry. I have the classic PCOS symptoms, overweight, never a regular cycle - started at age 11 ended at 15 and it was never regular during the first 4 years either. Doctor I had then put me on the pill and it was low dose time released type it worked for quite a while ... until at age 43 while still taking it my period stopped. I had a new doctor by then and she just said ok well you're perimenopausal now so you can stop and we won't bother with supplementation. Had few menopausal symptoms except the tiredness, insomnia etc.. 10 years later yep after trying keto, and other plans and nothing worked I realized that I need to do these supplements in combination with those to get anything to get me "normal" again, in mood, weight, sleep, energy etc. I use Biosteel electrolytes so I"m good on the magnesium etc. Thanks for your input!

Once you actually get pregnant, is it safe to continue using Ovositol/ Inositol? Is it harmful whilst you're pregnant and will it still help with the PCOS? I would appreciate an answer from anyone who knows, even if she doesn't respond
Ovasitol is typically safe to take when pregnant and breastfeeding. If you are already insulin resistant, this issue is likely to become exacerbated during pregnancy. I would continue with the supplement unless your doc tells you otherwise! Good luck!

I lose a lot of hair due to PCOS. Inositol seemed to be working but I had to stop taking it as it was making me very nauseous, which is so frustrating. So I look forward to hearing about your experience with Saw Palmetto and whether it benefits your hair.
Try spearmint tea. 3 times a day. And diet chnages
I haven’t had problems with infertility, my problem is more the hairloss 😢 I have found that microneedling helps though, I have gotten thicker hair and some new hair, but it’s nowhere near what is has been 🤭
I love that you talk about this. Thank you for sharing and please continue to do so 🤍 Always appreciate how genuine you are!
Thank you for your experiences. I have tried acupuncture for muscular pain and also for PCOS and really found amazing results which Im still benefitting from several years later. I have just ordered saw palmetto and B6. I eat rice daily which contains inositol, so I don't feel I need to supplement that. I also eat mostly pescatarian so I get lots of Omega-3. And as an English person I'd like to say I appreciate that you pronounce "herb" CORRECTLY - with the H! Americans who say ERB drive me insane!
@Sadaf Khan definitely but I accidentally took way too much at first
@Sadaf Khan I started on a high dose after a period of huge hair loss. It was immediately effective after a week stopped my hair shedding excessively. You will always loose 100-200 hairs per day, that's normal. But yes it worked for me. Now I take a small dose once per week
@@hannahw90hw what dose do you take?
@@chipschneipps609 I don't take the saw palmetto. I accidentally took 3000mg every day for 7 days. It immediately stopped the shedding....but that's way way too much and can increase testosterone so as soon as I realised I stopped. I only take one of those pills per week to try average it out but you shouldn't be anywhere above 300mg
I seriously wonder about the prevalence of PCOS now compared to in the past. The state of the American diet and HPV "maxxines" are some newer variables. I know I had a lot of down hill slide in my immuno/female health after that series...
I am in Canada too (West Coast)
I am about to start to take EstroSmart - now called CycleSmart - plus stuff for adrenal fatigue and thyroid support.

Hey ! As a PCOS "fighter" I would advise you to cut down on your coffee intake ,as I have heard it's not good in PCOS....
P.S : I am taking Metformin 500mg daily since last 5 years now , I am 23 and the only problematic symptom I have is hair thinning ,I am going bald 😭
Cut dairy and gluten.
First stop taking metformin or other medications. Just have healthy lifestyle

@@sowjanyadav but if I stop Metformin my periods become irregular... actually I don't want to take oral contraceptive pills as they have side-effects...else my weight is normal .... although my scalp is visible now😭

Collagen
Maca root
Cinnamon
Mct oil
Spearimint tea 2 cups
Estrosmart
Vitex
Dim
Inositol
Folate
Please jus don't take any supplements. I took dim which made my acne worse, I found out that the reason was bcos my testosterone is actually low. Im on the low side with hormonal imbalance.
Have you looked more into your low thyroid? Did the nautropath recommend anything for it? I'm like you and am always on the upper end of the normal range for TSH.
can you please tell how did you use Vitex? with interruptions during menstruation or without interruptions? and 2 or 1 caps daily?))

Collagen is actually good for PCOS, because glycine, which is part of glutathione (antioxidant that our body make). A lot of people have glycine deficiency.
Hey Mel, what type of magnesium do you take? I’ve taken magnesium glycinate and it seemed to bring up my DHEA level.
Btw thanks for bringing awareness to hormonal imbalances !
How did you know it was the magnesium?
Was your dhea level low? I too have low DHEA levels
My doctor recommended me Magnesium Oxide. About 800mg

hi, just saw this as i have pcos and i know nothing about it. are these all safe to take together? i’m interested in taking the evening primrose and balance supplement. rn i’m currently taking zinc, b12, vitamin d and c.
they will typically be safe to take together. One thing I encourage is to test your hormones before you take any supplements to be sure you actually need them. @dietitianmonica on IG for more info :)
I just orders evening prime rose to add to my supplement and cla .. pcos has effected my hair ( hair loss/thining) and weight .. well pcos ruined my whole life ..
I wanna some questions,is the supplements taken all at once or you have to split it like some in the morning and some in the evening?
30 year sufferer of PCOS here. I have to know what your diet/exercise routine is and how you have managed not putting on a ton of weight.
It really depends on the person. I had pcos since I was 18 and was a size uk 6 (us 4) until I turned 22. Then suddenly I put on about 10kg which made me put on weight up to 4 dress sizes. It just depends on the person.
go dairy and gluten free and eat foods that don't spike your blood sugar. Avoid long intense cardio. And just see what works for you.
It's advised to stay away from processed food as Much as possible for individuals having pcos issues

Would love ypur feedback:)
Once you actually get pregnant, is it safe to continue using Ovositol/ Inositol? Is it harmful whilst you're pregnant and will it still help with the PCOS? I would appreciate an answer from anyone who knows, even if she doesn't respond
All thanks to dr iyaremoses on youtube he cured me completely from hirsutism#driyaremoses channel
Go on the website and there are some women that still take it even when pregnant.
I was til from my doctor not to take it once pregnancy occurs..
Ovasitol is typically safe to take when pregnant and breastfeeding. If you are already insulin resistant, this issue is likely to become exacerbated during pregnancy. I would continue with the supplement unless your doc tells you otherwise! Good luck!
Have anyone with PCOS thought about tying out Fuyan pills . I know they’re bit pricey @$500 usd a bag but I’ve heard good things about it getting rid of PCOS.
