    Thanks for showing
    and clearing things up!
    The USER MANUAL is a Nightmare.
    👍👍👍

      :) Yes, I agree the manual is horrible until you see something demonstrated. It took me a few tries with NarsilM before I had any clue what I was doing.

    With Narsil you really have to learn 2 separate UIs - One for ramping and one for 'mode set'. They work completely different from each other.

    It would have been nice to include a holster, since it's not really pocketable.

    • @walkintothelight7142
      @walkintothelight7142  3 роки тому

      Yes, it's really only pocketable in a large coat pocket. I have used it on a lanyard around my neck, but that's not ideal.

    Отличный фонарь! Только что привез курьер, разбираюсь с настройками и смотрю видео. Брал 5700К за 1800рублей по акции. 12 дней до Воронежа и привез курьер. Брал на Бангуде, отличный фонарь, просто ПУШКА! Вечером пойду во двор тестировать.

      Yes, use a high-drain battery, and I think you'll be impressed with how far it throws on a clear, dark night.

    I finally received my ft03
    but Bang good sent me a cool white version instead of the 5700k neutral white which is bull. To top it off they said they cannot help
    never again

    Use with a 7-8 Amp battery to stop from pushing the SST-40 too hard. This has been recommended by many on BLF

    • @walkintothelight7142
      @walkintothelight7142  5 років тому

      Is the forward voltage of the SST-40 low enough to cause issues with a high-drain cell? If so, that's a good idea. You could also use a high-drain cell, but only charge it up to 4.0v or 4.1v, so the voltage driving the LED is a bit lower under the FET's direct drive. My concern with using a low-drain cell, is that you may be pushing the cell harder than its designed for, but I suppose an 8 amp cell might be good enough.

      Is that still an issue?

      sst40 is bulletproof led although it produce more heat... my small c8 body mods with sst40 dedome led with direct fet driver and run with sony vtc6 or vtc5a also never burn off and still alive till today, although i often run it on max for more than 5 minutes till it get really hot to touch... ft03 is more tough to take such a heat from high amperage to the led because the body is more big and have more better heat transfer...

    • @harisyoung4110
      @harisyoung4110 4 роки тому

      small amp rating battery is high in internal resistance, so im doubt maybe the fet can only pull half of the rating out of the battery... if 20amp rating batery also fet driver can only pull below 8amp on it on sst40, so what the point to using lower amp rating battery ? it only increase the resistance and total output cannot be archieve... on direct fet flashlight i never burn any led that attach to the flashlight before this, even on small s2+ body with fet driver, the key is a good heat transfer and thermal paste, i believe astrolux ft03 come with good thermal paste from factory because mine was like that..

      @@BurntPlaydoh yea nichia and sst20 easy to fry... but sst40 is bulletproof, i ran my dedome sst40 in my c8 till it get hot until i cant hold it without glove but it still running strong today... im only use low resistance battery such as vtc6 and vtc5a..

    Thank you for the excellent review, what color do you recommend? 5000k 5700k or 6500k?

    • @walkintothelight7142
      @walkintothelight7142  5 років тому +2

      Personally, I'd go with 5000k. Though if you want maximum output, 6500k has slightly more lumens, but you sacrifice color quality.

    Anyone know how to get the back-lit button feature back?

    • @walkintothelight7142
      @walkintothelight7142  2 роки тому

      To do a factory reset: from OFF, single-click followed by a press&hold (battery status mode), then double-click (driver temperature mode), double-click again(firmwareversion mode), then press&hold for about 2s.Four blinks confirms successful reset.

    How to turn on the light on the button

      In the production version, it is a ramping interface. Click to turn on, hold to ramp, click to turn off.
