I wish that I was still fluent in Greek. My parents taught my brother and I greek before teaching us how to speak english. When we got to preschool, we didn't understand anyone, so we started learning english and started speaking that at home, and then we lost most of the greek. I have cassette recordings of us that I can't even understand! All of my greek cousins speak english very well, so I don't really pick it back up when I visit them in Cyprus.
