Heyy deniii, u r so sweet and cute 💜💜
I love your vide

Plz try Indian makeup
the thing under your eye that you contoured is called “aegyo sal” (애교살 in korean). basically it means charming/baby eye fat and it’s popular to contour and emphasize it in korea because it makes you look younger. that’s why a lot of idols in the kpop industry have their aegyo sal highlighted. hope that helps! :)
True I am. Not Korean but still from Asia and I use this eye counter
yeah its also popular in china and called the lying silkworm lol
also because a lot of asians naturally have more undereye fat than other ethnicities! and covering it up kinda looks weird in my opinion, and putting glitter on it is just fun
@@annewithnoe yeah! I dont have it as big but i have a little and it would look so weird if i put makeup over it lol
@@audreysheng5121 yea lol
As a korean raised in Canada, something i noticed is that Korean makeup styles tend to have very straight eyebrows, while more Western styles tend to stick to more arched brows. Most Korean makeup styles tend to lean further toward cute/youthful, and Western styles tend to prefer a more matured/sexy look. The makeup really suits you 💕
Totally correct
Maybe it’s just me, but I’m kind of picky about certain elements/aspects of Asian and Western makeup to suit my style. For example, I might implement some Western elements to my Asian-style makeup and vice versa. (This is coming from an Asian outside of Asia.)
True, as Slav i love to put korean makeup on my type of face couse i think this look cute and not as heavy as typical slavic makeup. My fav part is lip makeup- i recommend it to everyone with dry lips- work much better than heavy matt lipstick
I really love the younger and more natural-looking makeup style, and seeing people on TV (which I almost never watch) here in America- their makeup sometimes kind of scares me. It just seems 'too much' if you know what I mean. In my opinion. It does what it's supposed to do, I suppose- which is to catch your eye, but they look like they would be mean, or... I don't know, dishonest?? I don't know if I'm making any sense. I just think it looks scary lol
Everyone has their own style, though, and I love seeing people be passionate about it.
Yup
As a Korean, I can confirm that you did it right, and you look adorable, and the Korean makeup definitely suits you.
Agreed
Your a therian not korean??
@@ITZSAKURA_UWUwhat-? No, it's a thing, where you identify as an animal.
Even though you have a very different face from the one the person in the tutorial has, you still executed it so nicely! I never thought this type of make-up can work on my face, but after seeing your work, I'll definitely try it!
I didn’t realize Korean makeup was so theatrical! Maybe a bit heavy for day time but plenty of little tricks that can be softened for regular use.
This is Korean ''influencer'' makeup. Their everyday makeup is very very softly subtle.
As someone who frequently watches a diverse amount of Korean beauty youtubers, ANDA's (the Korean girl whose tutorial is being followed) has a very dramatic make-up style, in general. She often tries to recreate looks of fictional characters, as well.
What they (two person) mentioned above are correct. This make-up is not for every Korean. I have watched other Korean vloger who aren't makeup vloger and their make-up is more subtle and natural while these make is more dramatic, glam, cosplay like make-up that influencer do which I often see on Pinterest.
@@tehreemraza123 THIS IS SO FAR FROM BEING SOFTLY SOFT HAHAHAHA sorry caps lol
@@lev1anus ya I think they meant that this video is dramatic, "influencer" makeup. and their everyday makeup is subtle (not the example in the video)
Whoa this changed her whole face 😮. Deni's skill is on another level!
The true meaning of adorable is worship-worthy, which only reflects me The Goddess aka the adorable/adored/worshiped being -- it cannot be misused as a synonym for cute to describe a cute makeup creation...

the Korean makeup looks so cute on you!! i love it so much. as half-Japanese/American woman myself, changing from western to eastern beauty styles are huge!! the aegyosal (or under eye fat contouring where you added sparkles) just makes your eyes look SO big when they’re already this beautiful shapes, but this makeup style gives you the perfect, sparkly puppy dog eyes!!
you have the best features for makeup! stamp of approval right here 🫶🏻♥️
You look way cuter than that girl I mean that girls so pale she looks like a ghost
Maybe instead of thinking of styles in America as "western" style you can try different styles from non-Asian countries like the cockney make up style or chav style I think, it's not really my thing but people like it
@@Artworld_lps she isn’t pale she just took foundation way off her skin color to look more white
and i personally find pale way better so ur opinion ain’t important
@cay's luminals ❦ flattering or not people still do it. And yes I know
I think the makeup style in western countries doesn’t fit Asian people.
Good work! I think one thing to also keep in mind is that different techniques are for different face / eye / etc shapes, even within each cultural makeup style, so love that you emphasized that. I think you look gorgeous regardless. Love your humor and attitude, and keep up the good work!
That makeup made your eyes look huge! I'm gonna try that eyeliner method, leaving some space under the eye and some light eyeliner in the water line.

As a Korean ( I had to translate this so if it’s weird SORRY) the little shadow/line under the eye is called an aegyo sal. It’s supposed to be like a cartoony doll-like shadow to show plump cheeks and wide eyes. Also it was great!
I LOVE ANDA! She was actually the first one that I've seen do the outer v area of the lower lashline which is now known as the Douyin make-up style. Ever since watching her, I've adapted the style myself and I love it!
What is this v area of the lash line? Can you please send me a video where she shows it?
@@katyk6912 It's actually in the video. The part where she extends her lower lashline by not connecting it to the actual lashline but instead, lining downwards to create a faux lashline resulting in a much larger looking eye.

as you have different eye shapes especially the outer corners, you could make your eyeshadows towards the outer corners pointier like a triangle with a slightly downward point to make it look cute instead of fierce like a cat eye.
I laughed so hard when you finished the eyeshadowing.😂 This is the prime example of choosing the right style of makeup depending on your features. Koreans love cute, puppy eye look and in order to achieve that, they tend to draw their eyelines downwards to make their eyes rounder. The thing is, you already have that sort of round puppy eyes and that’s why that look doesn’t work well on you. Still, over all you look so cute ❤

Noo...ig its because of the eye shape... I'm an asian too its easy for us to do these types of eye makeup ..we Asians have a different eye shape
As a half korean i wanted that u know that u look gorgeous with this makeup style! Its so cute
It really suits your eye shape so much, you look like a vintage Hollywood star from back in the day, with a really romantic, doe-eyed sort of look. 🥹 I tried it on my eyes (Korean shape in centre and middle but a little droopy at outer corners) and I looked really drunk! 🥴 Then I drew a straight line under my eyes and filed in the centre (rather than outer) with sparkle and my eyes looked huge, almost creepy! 😳😅
I’m definitely going to try this on my own time. I always loved how Koreans look, and as a non Asian- I never tho could do it. This proves me wrong. Thank you!

@@irenenisha7823 um you can't be Korean unless you're born here
Arabian will really suit your prominent facial features too!

Y'all looks almost having the same facial features =)
i love her voice so much and personality. BTW I love brown mascara. Its more flattering on lighter skintones, light eyes, and lighter hair types. It has a warming pop effect to the face vs black which can be really intense on most skin tones. I feel this way with brown eyeliner too i love it. try using white or skintone eyeliner under your eye to make your eyes open up its a great trick instead of using black to line your eyes.
I've got super cool toned skin, black hair, and even blacker eyelashes and have always steered away from brown mascara since I figured it would look odd if my eyelashes were paler than my hair, or possibly look weird with my skin if it was too warm toned. I am extremely pale though, so I may have too try it some time if I can find one cool toned enough. Hopefully it'll go better than my attempt at using purple mascara with a Halloween costume where there were weird gaps where my actual lash color came through no matter what I did (might've been more of an issue with the formula though...)
Love your videos so much. You make me smile every day!! ❤❤❤
The look really suits you! A cute makeup style for a real cutie!
Something i notice in this video that maybe can help (as a tips) some people to try korean makeup
- they do countour from subtle and build it until they get the shape that they want
- straight and little bit arch in the end for eyebrow, and to make it more natural, they like to choose brighter color of their hair (example : hair dark brown, eyebrow light brown). Use light pressure, or sometimes they use eyebrow powder or eyeshadow (espescially for the front of eyebrow)
- subtle pigment of eyeshadow. Nowadays korean makeup brand espescially their eyeshadow have a very subtle pigment, so they can build it as much as they want. If we just have the pigmented one, just practise to get the subtle look
- they like to use different brush for eyeshadow. Brush for take-place the shadows and blending brush (fluffier brush make it good blending)
- fake big eye. Some korean beauty vlogger like to use pen liner with concealer shade like (or sometimes the use concealer) to their corner v lower lash line (placing this on waterline make their look too much)
- sometimes the like subtle eyeliner from eyeshadow and then layer it with liquid eyeliner just to precise the shape
Anyway you look soooo goood with your korean makeup version, it looks neither natural and fierce but also cute 💛
And i recommend to check Saerom Min's channel, she used to be proffessional makeup artist and now she have a brand named Romand and like to sharing korean makeup technic in her channel 💕
WAIT romand is saeron mins’s brand?!?!? THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE NOW
7:07 It is actually called as the 'aegyosal' look. From the word 'aegyo' which means 'cute', this look is usually used to make your eyes pop out more by making the under eyes puffier. Idk if I am saying it right, but I'm just sharing what I just know.
I don't understand how it's attractive. It really looks like they are zombies or lacking sleep!
@@707mimi Bu I don,t think it looks good on them lol. And the "lack of sleep look" actually made them seem older to me.
@@WhyUA-camWhy the puff on the under eyes make your eyes look bigger. I guess koreans are obsessed with that because it's a rare facial feature to them, and because of their natural eye shape they need to make up for it to emphasize their eyes. For it to not look like eye bags, most korean make up uses a shimmer or highlighter so that it doesn't appear as dark circles instead.
@@WhyUA-camWhy like for example this girl you can see it kinda doesn't suit her cause her eyes are already big that's maybe why it looks too much, but for those with certain eye shapes it looks good.
@@jbonceu2457 I've got tiny eyes and I wouldn't do that. Why do they need to make their eyes look bigger?! It's just ridiculous the amount of things, make-up and surgeries they're having to change their faces and look all the same.

@@kerrygordon80 She's an icon on her own ^_^
Des that aegyo sal technique work for people with not-very-prominent aegyo sal?
@@oyaoyaoya7753 Yes!!! You can use contouring shades to bring it out. You have to smile and look for the area below your eyes that juts out. You gently trace that area to get the aegyosal, followed by highlighting it to make it look more prominent. ^_^
There are tutorials here in UA-cam on how you may do it. I personally use a very light brown eyeliner from Suake. Or, you may use your eyeshadow palettes as well as long as the color tones are nude. :)

One thing about Korean makeup is that they change the whole shape of face and eyes with makeup with an aim to make it seem as natural as possible.. Such makeup is not for every type of face.. It has to be done with adjustments.

The "eye bags" are referred to as aegyo sal. DO NOT contour the eye bags - like the ones people try to cover/shrink! for the vast amount of people, the "smiling eye" "puffy eye" "tear bag" look is going to be much higher than wear an actual "eye bag" sits. It is just the tiny area that is pushed out at your bottom lid from they eye ball pushing it out before it curves in to blend with your face. So where she placed it is the usual go to. Your actual eye bag is TOO LOW, it won't give the same effect, and just makes a lot of people look weird, sick, or insanely sleep deprived.

I discovered Anda about a year ago and I couldn't stop watching her channel, I'm glad someone else saw her talent!
I appreciate the reminder to do your makeup tailored to your eye shape and the general structure of your face!
As someone who has hooded eyes, I needed to find ways to do my eyeliner that didn't immediately disappear. So far, tightlining works well (and is pretty universal as a subtle look for anyone.) I also like a kitten eye so the wings can perk upwards without my eye creases cutting them off.
If I have the time and patience, I can do a cat eye with the batwing style.
If I want a cute look that shows up like a cat eye but don't want to/don't have time to struggle with the batwing method, I do a puppy eyeliner so the wings go down slightly, meaning my eyelid creases don't cut through the wing and they can curve naturally. They can be as pronounced, or as subtle, or even as smudgy/smoky/goth-ish as I like.
Tightlining and the puppy eyeliner might be my favorites.

Me as a Korean raised in America. Koreans tend to really look like a baby, all thinks to a little something called Aegyo-sal (애교살 in Hangul Korean). That's why when you look at kpop idols they look younger and it gives them a more charming look. Koreans love cute, puppy eyed looks and in order to achieve that, they tend to draw their eyelines downwards to make their eyes rounder. Honestly, even though I am Korean I could never do anything like that...
Edit 1: Aegyo is also a way of saying "cute" and sal is "fat" in Korean, and Aegyo is often used in Korea especially with kpop.
Edit 2: Aegyo-sal means "Charming fat" because lots of Koreans think that having a little pocket of fat under your eye will make you appear more cheerful and youthful...
Good job, Deni
Sending love from Seoul, South Korea ❤
