1. The DDR had a pretty sizeable supply of R-73’s and R-27’s. All of which was inherited by the new unified armed forces of Germany.
2. The G model is specific to Germany as it removed and added multiple modules to bring it up to NATO standards.
3. There is a lot of information out there on what all made the G different to the standard the 29 received by the DDR.

Mig 29 g is to keep the Germans happy. Because the next update could arrive SU 27 and f 15 and Fox 3
Yea that’s my assumption tbh the mig29G will probably be the best thing germany gets until the typhoon
I think we will see a Su27 soon but I doubt we will see fox3 as they wont be as good as people think and just make fighting at top tier boring until people go back to IR and SARH missiles, the aim54 is a classic example of why fox 3 missile combat just wont work for the meta of the game.
@@blackjack8697 yea I’m kinda concerned how they will work bc let’s be real, they’re coming we all know that’s true, but like obviously it wouldn’t be soon but the meteor missile for example has like a 30km no escape range and a little over 100km range and that’s basically almost an entire map that we have currently

Yeah if I’m not mistaken su27 doesn’t carry fox 3’s and I think mig29S variant can have the r77 fox 3 . Not sure about the G

For CAS in Germany top tier would it be better to use the eurocopter or the su23m4?
Probably eurocopter tbh, the su22m4 doesn’t get a laser pod so it’s done through the small little scope

@@LifeHKX yea the fnf pars are great when on the right map, overall i think the tornado is good for now since it does have guided bombs, but it pales in comparison to other things like th f16c

what is the big diffrence between the rusian mig29 and the smt version of it is the grind worth getting the smt?
The base model has a better airframe when it comes to dogfighting (and just in general), while the SMT gets access to more spicy stuff like R73's
Yes the mig 29 SMT will probably receive Fox 3 R77 in the future

I dont get why people keep complaining that they added r73 to "older" migs 29s in regards to the mig 29g. It is literally a upgrade for the east German migs that Germany did in the 90s. It is a modernized aircraft just like the SMT. Even if the ingame model is just a copy past of the older model irl they aircraft are different. Germany change/upgraded a lot of the avionics and other systems.
They didn't add R-73s to the old plane, they added a new copy and paste plane and gave it R-73s, forcing people to grind out another 400K rp for a better IR missile
