If you want higher refresh rates, dont use the hdmi. You can use all four USB-c/Thunderbolt ports to connect several monitors if you need. They support way higher resolutions and refresh rates compared to hdmi. If you dont have USB-c input om your screen, just use a USB-c to DisplayPort adapter.

I purchased a MBA M2 with the 16GB/512GB configuration plus a Samsung M8 monitor, magic keyboard with touch ID and now I’m looking at buying a thunderbolt dock for it. If I do the math the Mac Studio would almost cost me the same if I got a refurbished base model and I wouldn’t need the dock since the studio has sufficient IO for my needs. I know the Studio would be way more powerful for my needs but…🤷🏼♂️ your thoughts or suggestions would help 😉🙂. Thanks

I am a bit surprised nobody is getting more angry at apple. Apple basically put a laptop CPU inside a bigger chassis and called it a "desktop" without giving us more Performance. if an intel desktop manuf had put a laptop cpu in a desktop cassis everyone would be making fun... but with apple we praise them as Demi-gods.

I got a 16" m1pro MBP which I like a lot but I want to replace my old 27" imac late 2013...I was hoping for a new Imac but I don't see that coming out with the Mac Studio...I think the Mac Studio M1max base model is a good choice-I'll do some 4k editing-2-3 streams max-I use Premiere pro mostly. I'm still learning FCP X. Do you guys use Premiere too? is Premiere finally optimized for the M1 chip? I don't see 8k in the future at all-I'll skip the Mac Studio Display for now at least...and I have keyboards, decent 4k monitor etc. I hope you make more videos soon!

True, but there isnt anything this machine can do that the macbook cant. Plus the macbook can be used as a desktop, on the go and when there is a power outage or something. I think they priced these machines too high when you have very powerful macbooks which are way more versatile. Also, no hdmi 2.1 con this is just unacceptable.

How about testing the Mac Studio M1 MAX Thunderbolt 4 ports with EXTERNAL SSDs to see if the controllers slows down the external SSD like on the M1 Mac Mini? Note that the front USB-C ports on the Studio MAX (but not on the Ultra) are slower than the back Thunderbolt 4 ports so you might want to use the back ports if you test this.
Dat intro! I’m not fully convinced about the studio yet. I still need to see actual proof it can even come close to the 3090 in performance. I would also steam myself in the eye every day if i had to hang my router on the wall with visible wires hanging down 😂 great work on the video. Subscribed!

yeah, unfortunately, there's no translation layer for DX12 and that's why the x86 Windows 11 will run, but your DX12 games won't!
