The one thing I haven’t heard you go into depth with is paperwork and legal aspect of renting your equipment. Insurance? Contract? Liability? What happens if your equipment isn’t under warranty and breaks down? If you can make a video on that it would be great.
Been great to watch you guys grow. I have a full time job but I buy/sell tractors on the side. Have thought about also renting stuff out. Keep posting the videos as I love what I’m learning
Proven! Great job guys, I like the realistic goals for 2024! Wishing you guys all of the best and I like your business model, thanks for the advice, facts, motivation and keep hustling! Do you guys both have regular full time jobs and this is a side hustle, just curious, sorry if I've missed that before! How often do you guys rinse off/wash the gear, because I've heard that keeping your gear looking pristine, that clients want to rent it more, clients will take better care of it and it helps with your brand? Thanks, Brian
Yes, we both have full time jobs. Thank you for the encouraging message! We try to keep everything clean and looking good. People definitely take better care of our machines.
What is your opinion? I have a good job. I am going to buy a mini track loader to rent out. What would be the best couple of attachments to cover the most uses?
My partner just purchased a Cat 259D3. He wants to be an operator and bid jobs. I'm of the mind that we should be in the rental business and keep this thing making money.
The numbers sound ok for a start but do you have another job caused based on your numbers it appears you make about $100k in cashflow between you and your partner. That is only $50k each. Obviously if the business scales up you could quadruple that or grow it even greater.
I feel like people would destroy equipment faster than you could make money. I would be to hesitant to let Billy bob roll out with something of mine with his clapped out 99 F150.

Excellent points right here. Keep an eye out we’ll do that.
@@SkywayEquipment did yall ever make a vid about contracts , liability, insurance? How to insure your machine doesn’t get stolen etc
We got our first rental in September and have been more and more consistent throughout the months. Looking forward to 2024!

I have purchased a dump trailer 7 x14. I would like to add the Mini but leaning toward a MT100. I was wondering how well it rents for you?
MT100 is a great choice! Very reliable machine and rents well

How large of a truck do you need to haul a MT100?
It is only about 4,000 lbs. A 1500 is perfect
@@SkywayEquipment That is great, would you suggest putting it on a flatbed? I think this would lower cost without a trailer.

Thank you!! Happy New Year

So how do you get salary ? Do you have a side job ?
Yes, we both have full time jobs. This is just a side business
Came here to ask this! That’s badass for a side business and inspires me to grow my business.
Did you get a CDL or is one not needed for your big trailer?
Yes sir. CDL is required for that big guy
