I have currently 3 Cat 140g motorgrader for rent, having 8 year experience in keeping, renting and maintaining heavy equipment such as wheel loader, excavator, compactor, motorgrader, dumper. Also we build roads as a subcontractor
Very nice, I'm looking into getting into equipment rental myself as a side business, but starting with smaller, cheaper equipment. How much do you think your annual ROI would be if you just rented the 3 motorgraders in regards to the cost of purchase and equipment maintenance, so profit divided by total cost per year (as I assume you use them for work as well so)? Also, shat proportion of the total equipment value would say you're able to charge for renr? Thanks for sharing!
New subscriber here. Really enjoy how you're focusing the videos on what people like me are wondering about the business basics and how you've succeeded. I would like to know what app you are using that you showed in the video.
Great video, great info, can you tell us about the insurance expense, maybe on a per machine basis so we get an idea of what that looks like? Thanks, enjoy the channel and enjoy your hustle! Brian

Great video! Thanks for the insight and answering those questions. I want to get into something similar. Something to consider, attracting clientele/ a customer base more prone to longer term contracts. I was thinking along the lines of networking with construction companies that would need machinery for a month or two project. Or even if they have their own equipment make it known to them you are there for a quick substitute if the equipment breaks down. Additionally, reaching out to local contractors could be very promising. You could bring a lot of value to contractors that can't afford their own equipment yet or existing contractors that want to expand their services with your equipment. A business relationship like that could become a very reliable rental source. Just some food for thought:)
Thank you buddy for taking time to do this videos. Im in Australia wanting to start on this and is very helpful! One question: how do you buy the machinery? Finance with the dealership?
Boy you guys have it rough down there with thefts. We were just down in Cape Coral in December and was was talking to the guys in the rental department and he was telling us all 3 of their dingos are missing .
We’ve had a few issues of machine breaking down on job sites. Each time we just call the dealer and ask for a tech to goto the site. It does cost to do that but definitely speeds up the repair time! Definitely an important thing to consider when choosing a dealer
love this video, actually may i have plan to do this rental business, my plan i start small amount and simple equipment, like 1 bagger mixer, scaffolding, and portbale compactor, could you advice me.thanks

I’m 20 years old. Got some money saved. What’s a good starter machine? Should I go big or start with something small? What’s rents most often? I’m down in TX. Just need the first one to be a good one🫱🏻🫲🏼
@@SkywayEquipment I’m thinking about a CAT 313F. I hear those rent frequently. Not too expensive, small enough to move, big enough to move the heavy shit.

How would you get any equipment that totally breaks down back onto a trailer to get it serviced at your mechanic shop?

@@SkywayEquipment on that note it’s probably not recommended to buy used equipment 🤷🏻♂️

What’s a going rate for a 317 cab per day? How much is insurance per month for machines and with who?
How would you start out again?asfar as new truck or old ,what type of trailer ect
Just find what rents best in your area, start small and feel it out. I wouldn’t suggest buying a 100k machine right off the bat
What did you start with on construction equipment

What was the name of that app?
How much cold calling did you need to do when starting out?
What software or app are you using for the rental contract
@skyway equipment rental and sales Hey how can someone start a Scaffolding rental business?
Curious about the software as well.
Love the content. Do you require the customer to provide insurance for the rental? Inland marine, commercial, etc.
Our insurance covers them!

Do you have to have a CDL to pull the 22GN Big Tex trailer ???
Did you rent by the hour for these jobs with the 317 ?? seems like a quick turn around........ if by the hour what is the avg charge ??
Whats your average rental period? ie. most people rent for 1 day, 3 days, etc.
What app is that!?!?
Do you buy the equipment and put it in your company’s name or in your name as an individual? TIA

Renting out Deere is risky. Customers can’t have downtime. CAT and Kubota is the way plus they always have 0% financing.
