- This is my personal list of the Greatest speeches from the Assassin's Creed series:
The list includes:
5. Ezio's Speech from the Short Film: Assassin's Creed Embers
4. Arno's Speech from Assassin's Creed Unity
3. Bayek and Aya's Speech From Assassin's Creed Origins
2. Connor's Speech from Assassin's Creed 3
1. The famous Ezio speech from Assassin's Creed 2
(May contain spoilers!!)
Let me know which one you like the most and if I missed a speech that you feel like should be in the top 5 let me know in the comments below :)

"Kenway! In a world without gold, we might have been heroes!"
Not a speech, still great.

This is also good
“Every man hopes to find a Chest full of gold with no owners but.. they’re as rare as an honest king”
- Ben Hornigold
@J.T.M. i like it when i hear socrates, i wish i was the student of such a great man. Perhaps he talks very much but he never talks nonsense
“A merry life and a short one” , bartholomew roberts
"You humbled me once and I took that hard lesson and I bettered myself. Die, knowing that for all of our conflict you helped make a soldier out of a scoundrel. Leave this life for a lasting peace.. Down among the dead." - *Edward Kenway to a dying El Tiburon* (AC IV Black Flag)
Every Assassin has their own interpretation of the creed.. That's what makes the Assassin's Creed so relatable.
Well Said....
I see what you did there
@@frobro5674 what's that?
Yeah they work differently they see things differently but they unite for a cause
@@marchalmiller9736 yes I know that. That is the essence of what its means to be an Assassin.
I love Connor's speech. The fact that he knows that he will not live to see the Assassin's succeed, that he will not live to see the Templars vanquished, but fights on anyway because he is full of hope. I love that. His conviction that the cause and ideals he fights and strives for are right are what makes him and all the Assassin's so likeable, and it exemplifies the Creed.
I'm not gonna lie, I like ac 3 because you can throw weapons, I love hurling swords at people
@@Izzy_the_moderator oh I forgot about that! The Charles Lee chase at the end took up most of my memories of AC3
What a travesty that speech wasn’t actually in the game. There were so many complaints about Connor’s character because people didn’t understand him - and this speech, as well as making the Homestead missions required would have gone such a long way.
@@BoyWonder1914 I was about to ask where's this speech is from, I would've remembered it seeing how great it is

Ezios last speech has never held greater meaning than it does right now
What do you mean?
@@mattiashedvik2417 He means at the time of that game...We were all misguided, roaming and whatever a teenage or a child is supposed to do...So,we never understood the meaning of it but now it means something else
Ezio in that last speech describes how we give away our freedoms too gladly, and how we never choose to follow our own path and seek out our own truths. This describes our current world perfectly which is why it has greater meaning.
@@S.II7 Ooooh right hahahahah
@@S.II7 especially now, where our freedom is taken away from us piece by piece. And no one is realising it
My favourite speech would actually be Ezio in Revelation talking directly to Desmond, that one gives me chills every time.
Seriously, imagine looking through your ancestor's memories and suddenly your ancestor just starts speaking directly to you by name and knowing where you are
the entire finale of revelations was so emotional.. from discovering altair in the library to ezio retiring to ezio talking to Desmond. 😭 😭 😭 😭
@@zeroxenos1309 not to forget Yusuf’s death, it was so painful
That was actually the first AC game I played. I replayed the rest obviously but boy was that a start for me to the series. To bad they effectively ruined the essence of AC now for this fake RPG crap
@@terrencemoldern2756 I’d say they offered more options for different kind of players, while I do agree that it doesn’t make sense for assassins to fight like some barbarians so what I did was I try my best to not use the skills and go fully stealth instead.
I have to give it to them that they’re putting effort into bringing back the original mechanics in Valhalla

You don’t have to bring Ezio in every comment on other assassins. Ezio is a legend and it’s a fact. But we are assassins, we supposed to be a brotherhood, not to hate or compare our own kind. Plus, everyone have their own mind, culture, ways of thinking so they have their own favorite.
I like Connor Kenway, “because no one else will”.

Bayeks letter to aya in Valhalla was amazing. Ngl made me tear up. That scene at the beginning of origins is one of my favorite. It set Bayeks intentions very clearly. We know his son was killed, and now he’s hunting down everyone responsible. Plus he did it in the most badass way possible.
Ezio's speeches and Bayek and Aya's speech is my favorite speeches.
Same
They maybe assassins, but they do not kill with a blind eye.

You could basically put any speech in here, especially from the Ezio Trilogy, AC3, 4, Unity and Origins and all of them would deserve the number one spot. To me this franchise tells some of the best stories ever written. Especially the Ezio Trilogy in my opinion.
No movie has ever made me cry. No book or game has. Except for AC Embers. Ezios last speech is the one moment in media that has made me cry. Best character ever written. Requiescat in pace mentore.
That's awesome buddy. Glad the franchise brought you so much joy. Assassin's Creed truly is special. :)

Go watch Cyberpunk Edgerunners my brother, 🤣
Connor is one of my favourite assassins, the sad thing with him though is he's the only assassin who doesnt get a full games worth of development
When I first played Origins I couldn't really get behind the motivation. But when I went and explored the world and did the side missions Bayek's character felt so trapped, all he wanted was to avenge his son, and he's constantly confronted with more and more bullshit, you can tell that him and Aya were growing apart and it tore him up. He's tragic, he's the last Medjai, a relic of a bygone past, and you can see it. He loves his land and he has to accept that it is gone. He wants revenge and he has to accept that he will never have it, he wants his love and he has to give it up for a greater purpose. And for the people who didn't feel the attachment to Khemu, just play any side mission where Bayek has to deal with a child, you can tell that he's a father to a dead son, he's kind, compassionate and it always breaks my heart to see him get sad when the kids ask if he has a son.
I think that’s why I got attached to him. I would always try to do all the side quests of an area before moving on, so I saw compassion and empathy a lot
Bayek and Altair are *so fucking underrated.*
Altair underrated?
@@alonnie1919 lol he's not
@@Lefy2007 Exactly 😂😂
Sorry I meant in terms of things like what he’s contributed to the Creed, and his overall philosophy. Not many people even retain what he wrote in the codexes in AC2. What made me say he’s underrated is yes, he’s loved by the AC community but unfortunately due to him not getting as much shine as Ezio (I mean, 4 games c’mon) he just got a major skip for a large part of his life in the mainstream games (outside of books and spin-offs)
I agree only with Bayek. Bayek is so underrated... Ezio and Altair (and maybe Edward) are very popular in the community.
Connor's speech on compromise is my favorite one
The day I first witnessed this Bayek-Aya scene, I got goosebumps, and wondered how perfectly the Assassin Insignia's origin is displayed.
It's truly, origin of the Assassin brotherhood.
There were no assassins then(just mercenaries) , there was no typical assassin style, yet people compare it to those AC games , in which assassins were very modernised, i.e Ezio's series(No doubt it was a masterpiece) and Ac Black flag.
The parts of AC origins and odyssey, were perfect in their own story. They showed us how assassins came to exist. Comparing them to others, is pure insanity.
Ezios speech defo moved me in a lot of ways but ezio made connors speech more understandable and relatable
Yeah I really like Connor's speech. Kind of weird that it isn't even in the game, if I am not mistaken.
@@MantisManGaming I think it’s in the remastered version g

I love how the pendant of Bayek created the logo for the Assassin's and I loved the whole series as well
FUCK I miss Bayek so much :'(
Hearing his voice in Valhalla literally brought tears to me.
Bayek of Siwa - we remember you!
I loved how Haytham spoke about Connor after the finishing blow. That he said he is proud of him in a way. Then he names all the noble qualities his son has. And he finished it with the sentence "I should've killed you long ago"
That is pure epicness.
Ezio's speech hits hard man. Best one ever. And best Assassin ever. Others were really good too.
Ay two years later and you're still hearting comments. LEGEND.
@@kocetociparov1089 yes indeed
I love Arno's interpretation of the creed, I never understood it until now. I like how he describes it as a warning.
"Nothing is True" There is no higher power "Everything is Permitted" and so there is no higher power stopping us from pursuing any desire. And so we must be our own compasses of our fate and guide ourselves against wrongdoings and injustices.

Still we rise again. And you know why? It is because the order is born from realization. We require no Creed. No indoctrination by desperate old men. All we need is that the world be as it is."

Assassins Creed 3 had such a deep story so many people didn't understand....
Each and every game Assassins' Creed franchise had some of the most iconic speeches. But Ezio's speech creates an otherworldly feeling every time one hears it. These are not speeches, these are emotions.
Personally I love unity, I enjoy Arno and how he progressed from being careless and forgetful to serious and content. I like his character a lot and I think he deserves a sequel personally
Sadly, Ubisoft will never do that. Or maybe for the best considering the franchise is completely different to other AC games.
DLC Arno is amazing.
Orgins is such a good freaking game...love it ☺️
Bayek has many names. Bayek of siwa, "the last medjay", "The hidden one", but I'd like to call him "the first assassin". Except that technically the first assassin would be Darius but still this is when the assassins were created so that's what he should be called. Aya and Bayek: "The first Assassins"
Quick question did bayek and siwa have another child in origins if so Darrius probably descended from them
@@richardanderson6531 daruis came before
@@richardanderson6531 Darius is an ancestor of Amunet or Aya
Man Arno's development was arguably the best among all the AC games. I would like to mention Ezio but his lack of emotions in AC2 just breaks it. Arno actually felt the pain of being rejected, betrayed you can see it in his voice and face.
Arno’s story had more than “assassin good templar bad” and it sucks we didnt get more
If we’re talking about delivery, Bayek’s VA is always on point. The anger, pain, joy, and passion he portrays is just amazing
Ezios speech for me personally is one of the greatest speeches in video game history. Brought a tear to my eye when I first played the game and heard it
I remember when AC1 was released and after playing, I had "Laa shay'a waqui'n moutlaq bale kouloun moumkine" written in almost all my books it sounded so cool.
"When I was very young, I was foolish enough to believe that our Creed would bring an end to all these conflicts. If only I had possessed the humility to say to myself, I have seen enough for one life, I've done my part. Then again, there is no greater glory than fighting to find the truth."
―Altaïr to his son Darim during the Mongol attack on Masyaf, 1257.
My absolute favorite is Bayek. He was the first Assassin I’ve ever played, and his journey from vengeful father to founder of the brotherhood is really great to experience. Also, you get to experience where many of the Assassins’ traditions, tenets, and attributes came from. Moreover, the kindness, venerance, and integrity he shows every now and again are very admirable.
Finally, a man that was so good a being shadow that even the order he founded doesn’t know he exists is definitely up there in my book.
For years I've been rushing around, taking whatever I fancied, not giving a tinker's curse for those I hurt. Yet here I am... with riches and reputation, feeling no wiser than when I left home. And when I turn around, and look at the course I've run... there's not a man or woman that I love left standing beside me
Edward Kenway(Ac4 bf )
Best sppech according to me
Idk if this would count, but Blackbeard's speech in one of the AC4 trailers is amazing. Gives me chills every time. It really emphasizes how fearsome Edward is.

and also his phrase " so many souls lost, one more hardly matters..."
Shay not a perfect person but No matter how he do the right thing.
My favourite :
"You humbled me once and I took that hard lesson and I bettered myself. Die, knowing that for all of our conflict you helped make a soldier out of a scoundrel. Leave this life for a lasting peace.. Down among the dead." - *Edward Kenway to a dying El Tiburon* (AC IV Black Flag)
I'm disappointed that I didn't get to see Edward's speech about his entire life in a nutshell towards the end of AC Black Flag
Bayek of Siwa- The assassin who from grief, found duty and bore the Hidden Ones.
I never understood why people said Connors character was bad. You may not like him but how he acts and his conviction makes perfect sense. A native who saw his mother murdered. A man who had to kill his father. The very people he helped in a revolution, turned on him. Murdered, pillaged, raped his people. He had a tragic life. But despite all of that. He held onto something. Hope. He hoped that in time this cause he knew was greater than himself would pay off and his life would have the ultimate meaning. A reality in which people could exist with freedom and without fear of the qualities that seem to be imbedded within the human psyche. The qualities he was forced to suffer through.
I have been a fan of this series since Assassin’s Creed 2 easily my favorite game series of all time. Watching this video hit me real hard the nostalgia of Ezio’s speech and then remembering the scene with his brother on the roof at the beginning of the game and all that came back to me because of this video. Altair is my favourite
The last speech of Ezio broke me down in tears.... how... MENTOR PLEASE REST IN PEACE AND WATCH US FROM THE HEAVENS
the origins one is soooo god damn good man, that gave me true chills
I know ezio is just a game character in a fictional world. But after playing all three game’s it feels like he is a part of me, that his death and life is a part of me. I have seen many assassins die but his was the one I remembered the most. I guess seeing him grow up from a kid into an assassin is why I love him Soo much. I mean no other assassins have other games that follow more part of their lives. Unless you count the connection between AC Rouge and AC unity, or 3 and 4. I guess what I’m trying to say is that Ezio had three games that were all about him and his life he plus a short film. Name any assassin that also has that
None because ubisoft thinks that a comic book is good enough of a sequel
I think brotherhood and revelations didn’t do much like they just had an already wise character. AC2 is where ezio started out as a brat and became a man with a wise head on his shoulders whatever. AC has a much bigger impact than brotherhood and revelations I don’t think those 2 should be counted
I loved assassin's creed origins! It showed the birth of the creed and I felt the power in the game that I never felt anywhere else. I felt wonder whilst walking through the deserts of ancient Egypt and I loved it! Odyssey didn't hit the same feeling though, it focused too much on the Isu and it all felt too mythical to be realistic,
Bayek's "I never sleep" is such a good moment, the voice acting in that was phenomenal.
First speech is just straight to my heart
Bonfire of vanities is my favorite
